The Felbound spirits are partially transparent, whereas the other mobs in the area are not. I found that I had to be very close to them (within melee range) to use the extra action button on them. No need to kill them..just walk up and use the extra action button on them to complete this quest.

Walk up to the spirits and use the action button in front of them. No need to bring down their HP.

when i got to the area the action button didn't show up so i spent 15 mins trying to figure out what to do, i ended up leaving the area and coming back and then it showed up and i was able to complete the quest

Killed loads of these before realising that there is no need, just walk up close and use action button labelled 'Holy Destruction'

More to the point - where is it? If you leave the area and then come back the next day and wonder where the quest is then nowhere tells you?

UPDATE: For those of you in the position as me then here is the answer: You need to go to Vengeance Point in the north of the Broken Shore patch 7.2 area

You have to travel to Broken Shore and search for ghosts around 53 18 spot.
Use your Holy Destruction extra button onto ghosts to release them. Demons cant be released, btw.

I had to disable Carbonite in order to see the extra action button that one needs to use to release the spirits.

If you are unable to see the Holy Destruction action button, just make a new macro

/click ExtraActionButton1

and keybind it. Using this keybind on the mobs in range should do the trick.

Description

We must do whatever we can to break the curse that befalls my ancestors. The Burning Legion have set up camp within the ruins that house our dead, ready to make good on the dreadful pact that was drafted so long ago. Each of my ancestor's is burdened with a pendant that binds them to their demonic overlords. It cannot be removed, but as you have shown, with enough power it can be destroyed. End the curse that plagues my ancestors and set their spirits free!
