I can't seem to get complete this. I had already build a destroyer when I picked up this quest, so I built another. It completed and everything seemed fine, but no matter how many mission I send it on, I can't complete the "Send your Destroyer on a mission"-part.

Stuck on Build a Destroyer at your Shipyard. I've gone to the area where you build ships (table by the water's edge, and it's the area that's highlighted on my minimap to go to) and there is no one there and no way to kick off the ship building. Anyone else having issues? Do I need to complete something else before doing this?

Remember to use Ship Blueprint: Destroyer when you pick up this quest, then you can continue to build your ship.

The mission fails and your destroyer is destroyed. The next mission gives you a new one.

DO NOT BUILD ANOTHER DESTROYER BEFORE YOU FINISH THIS MISSION, FAIL IT AND GET THE SUBSEQUENT MISSION. Doing so will cause you to build another green quality destroyer and be unable to succeed at further attempts. Dropping your quests will not fix the issue. You are completely SOL until this bug gets fixed, unable to build more ships and unable to send one ship on a two ship mission.

Naval mission will be failed %100 ( even % 86 chance ), but this is part of quest line, no worry.
-Patch 6.2 Live server.

Don't do like I did and buy the Felsmoke Launcher because you see that the quest has only 86% success chance. You WILL lose the ship. But in the next quest you automatically get a rare destroyer with the Felsmoke Launchers equipped, allowing you to counter First Strike

Unless of course you want to spend 500 GRs on launchers which are BOP, non-refundable, take up an inventory slot and probably will not have any use for the next few hours..

This seems like terrible design... many players who don't check sites like this will be scared to start this mission because it's not 100%.
How are they supposed to know failing and having your ship destroyed is part of the questline and is meant to happen?

I don't even have a 2nd ship, and I have no idea why. I know this IS the 2nd ship I built, but one ship is now missing. Cant complete the mission.

Running out of the shipyard to your garrison/using Hearthstone/Closing wow seems to spawn the guy that constructs your ships. Spent 15minutes running around until i did 1 of these steps... worst feature ever implemented.

I picked this quest out, learned the ship blueprint, then started construction on the new ship. I got logged out before it had a chance to complete, and now I cannot finish the quest at all. When I talk to Solog Roark he doesn't give me any option for finishing the quest. The dialog with him just says, "The shipyard is currently full, try back once the current ship completes."

I logged off and on, went to my garrison and back, and no matter what I do I cannot finish the quest. I am still stuck on "build a destroyer at your shipyard". Please help!

Edit: I just dropped the quest and picked it back up, and it still won't complete.

You can save the Destroyer you build by learning the Battleship Plans early since it can be bought right away due to a hotfix. Before building the Destroyer, build a Battleship. Afterwards, you can build your Destroyer but do not send it on the mission at all. The mission is rigged to only sink a specifically named Destroyer (in this case, Moira's Hammer) and all other ships sent, regardless of completion %, will survive. By doing this, you'll finish the Shipyard tutorial with 4 ships instead of 2.

Pick up Shipyard Report from Exarch Yrel at coords 58.4, 60.2, in your Outpost Building of Tanaan Jungle.

1. Shipyard Report - (Video)
• Travel back to your Garrison, and travel north to Lunarfall Shipyard.
• Turn in the quest to Merreck Vonder at coords 28.2, 10.7, and accept Naval Commander.

2. Naval Commander - (Video)
• Travel up the stairs, behind you, to the Fleet Command Table at coords 28.2, 11.7, and select the Naval Mission, "A Supply Pickup."
• Drag your Transport, The Hungry Riverbeast to the open ship slot, and select "Start Mission."
• Once the mission is completed, turn the quest in to Merreck Vonder, standing next to the Fleet Command Table, and accept Destroying the Competition.

3. Destroying the Competition - (Video)
• Travel down the stairs, and turn right to go to coords 29.8, 10.7.
• Click the Ship Blueprint: Destroyer, from your inventory.
• Click on Yanas Seastrike and select, "Start construction on our first destroyer."
• Click on the Alliance Destroyer Ship when it has been built.
• Travel back to your Fleet Command Table, and start the mission, "A Little Combat." If you receive a warning message that the mission is dangerous, just click 'Okay.'
• Once that mission is completed, you will find that Moira's Hammer / Durotan's Pride has been destroyed (don't worry about this, as this is part of the quest).
• Turn the quest in to Merreck Vonder, and accept If At First You Fail, Try Again!

4. If At First You Fail, Try Again! - (Video)
• Travel back to Yanas Seastrike (coords 29.8, 10.7), and select, "I would like to build another destroyer."
• When the ship is finished, click on Alliance Destroyer Ship.
• Click on your Fleet Command Table, and start the mission, "The Second Time is the Charm."
• Once the mission is completed, turn the quest in to Merreck Vonder, and accept Equipping Our Fleet.

5. Equipping Our Fleet - (Video)
• Travel down the stairs, and click on Salty Jorren at coords 28.6, 10.8, selecting "I hear you're an expert on naval equipment…"
• Travel down the docks to coords 28.9, 9.7 and click on the Equipment Blueprint: Blast Furnace, located on a table.
• Travel back to Salty Jorren and turn the quest in, accepting A True Naval Commander.

NOTE: Salty Jorren is the one that you will buy already learned naval equipment, such as the Blast Furnace, to equip on your ships.

6. A True Naval Commander - (Video)
• Travel back up the stairs and click on the Fleet Command Table, and select the "Fleet" tab.
• Click the Blast Furnace, located in your inventory, then click Yrel's Command / The Dawnchaser (your destroyer), and then click on Felsmoke Launcher. This replaces Felsmoke Launcher with Blast Furnace, which is needed for the quest.
• Click the "Naval Map" tab of your Fleet Command Table, and start your first blockade mission, "Blockade: South Sea."
• Turn the quest in to Merreck Vonder.

I cant even get the darn plans in my bag! I have abandoned several times, left zone and came back several times, waited for server restarts, got wow updates, didnt have any addons to bug it out. I have tried everything! Even went snd bought another battleship plan and built it. I have no naval missions to go on and no blueprint for destroyer. So far hating... Hating... Hating the dagum shipyard! Anyone with my experience?

Mine actually got stuck after building the destroyer. I went back to the mission table and no destroyer. I logged out and back in and it was in my ship log. Silly Blizzard not fixing games all the way.

I've built my destroyer. I'm standing at the fleet command table. I want to start a mission but can't. I'm assuming I need oil or some other resource to actually start a mission.

Only Oil has a tooltip that says it's required to fuel missions. I can only assume the other resources mentioned are also used to fuel missions.

Worked flawlessly for me on 8/28/2017. I just had to remember that losing the first ship was part of the quest.

You have to click the Destroyer blueprint in your inventory before you talk to Yana Seastrike on the shore.

Quick point that I noticed with this damn naval mission...

Yes, you fail at the first Destroyer mission, this part is pretty much a given. What happened to me was my RNG generated the destruction of my OTHER ship. So after my failed mission, I had ZERO ships left. I was then sent to build a new destroyer and try the mission again. BUT because that failed mission destroyed my other ship as well, I only had one ship and I could not start the mission.

I had to exit the game and then come back in...look at the Naval Mission table and I see my other ship is back.

IF you are in the same situation that I was in...try exiting the game and going back in. That might reset the crappy RNG that got the other ship destroyed when it should not have.

Description

One battle does not win the war, Commander. That Transport isn't gonna hold up long against this Iron Horde navy. We are going to need another ship. Lucky for us, a local smuggler has supplied us with the plans we need to build Destroyers. We should construct one of these ships immediately!
