To do this quest, first find the NPC Dook Ookem and kill him. He is quite easy to kill; make sure you move out of the way of the Barrel Toss and Bananarang.

When killed, he grants the buff Hozen-Slayer. All hozen in the Jade Forest now tremble at the sight of you; making the remaining objectives of this quest quite easy!

Where are the Shrine of the Sun and the Shrine of the Moon?

Shrine of the Moon is bugged as of 29.07.12 15913
you have to come in a straight direct line from the southern tree at 25.96/34.69 and aim straight for the table to make it count, takes a bit of aiming but works.

Shrine of the Moon: Looks like phasing bug. Use mount and run faster form tree to table.
If you reach table before phase change - win!

Confirmed.

1.Go 25,34 near the tree
2.Mount
3.Select any mob in your sight as target
4.Run toward the shrine
if you lose your target which means phase changed, do 1-4 again.

These are open air shrines. Moon is up by the top of serenity falls.

As a mage, I stood outside of the fenced area, halfway up the path leading to it, and nuked him. He just stood in the center and didn't fight back, while I got the quest complete. You have to stand further back though, because I just watched another mage do it while standing at the entrance to the fenced area, and he got barrels tossed at him.

I just transfed to horde and another server, this quest and any quest are undoable unless you have a fresh buddy who hasnt got exalted with the forest hozen.

If you haven't found the shrines yet, Lorewalker Cho will not be in the cave. I was a bit puzzled because I followed his words after killing Dook Ookem and his cave was empty. This might clear up the confusion for one or another.

If you're a troll, Lorewalker Cho has an extra line of dialogue when he shows up:

"As I live and breathe - an actual troll! You look just as the stories describe."

This is, of course, because the Zandalari trolls were ancient allies of the old mogu empire that had enslaved the pandaren.

Lay of the Land? I figured this would be a quest about your mom!*

Don't bother following the panda NPC's instructions to visit him in the Cave of Words until after you complete the quest by visiting both shrines. He won't be there until you do.

Also, each shrine has a small item in it that is worth about 100g. Make sure you pick them up!

Since no one has mentioned it, both of these shrines have a chance to have Pandaren vendor-trash treasure. Shrine of the Moon has an Ancient Pandaren Teapot (100g) on the little table. Shrine of the Sun has a Lucky Pandaren Coin (95g) in the little pond. Easy money.

I may have missed it, but all I saw were issues with Shrine of the Moon and none for Shrine of the Sun.

I couldn't find Shrine of the Sun because my map was directing me to the same place I killed Dook Ookem. I finally found it to the northeast around 31.9, 27.8 by the larger mountain range. Hopefully that helps anyone else who may have the same issue :-)

Lay of the Land. Accidentally abandoned wrong quest after it was ready to turn in. Now it won’t trigger for me to kill Dook Ookem. My character is a nightborne demonology warlock. I have a Abandon quest a couple times to see if it would reset itself, but it won’t. Anyone else having troubles?

Strange that the Horde quests lead you to two hidden treasures of the Jade Forest, but the Alliance ones really don't. Bit unfair, but whatever.
