The Jinyu move around frequently and aren't always bunched up so you have to anticipate where they will be when you...sigh...throw the poo.

Good news is the area of effect seems to be larger than the graphic and the effect lingers, so additional Jinyu can wander into the fumes for quest credit.

It's a bit annoying since the reload is so slow and the projectile does not fly fast, either. Don't even try to thow where the enemies are standing right now.
What worked best for me is to throw just beyond the right front stone.

I got 39009 rep with Forest hozen after doing this quest. I was honored (just barely) before doing it, immediately on handing it in, I was exalted.

Might wanna do this quest, also a nice blue reward.

There is a line of Grookin Dookers leading down to a outhouse with a table of... ominous green stuff and bombs. Once they have done their business in the outhouse, he will jump out, throw their "ook" into the glowing green bowl and then run off.

Rivett Clutchpop is next to the table, crafting "bombs" with their "ook". He can only craft one bomb at a time and it takes a while for him to craft one, as he needs the "ammo" from the Grookin Dookers.

If you stand around them long enough, you can get pretty amusing quips from the Grookin Dookers and Rivett Clutchpop.

So, I found that if the Jinyu get to close, they hit you and knock you out. What I am happy to report is that they number of Jinyu you had killed prior stick with you. You dont have to start over. So have no fear of Jinyu getting to close.

Game Master Vladosiky gave a good, strong answer to my ticket regarding the fact that "players are not able to reach exalted with Forest Hozen without a guild perk."

Well, you are right on the money! There is an issue with getting exalted. This is a known issue that will be fixed in the next major patch (5.2). People who have "Boom Goes the Doonamite" completed should get the reputation. It should apply when it is fixed. If it does not boost the reputation, go ahead and contact us again. We may need to manually apply it or it may have been pushed back.

TL;DR: Major patch 5.2 will fix the bug for those who completed Boom Goes the Doonamite! by retroactively applying the missing Forest Hozen reputation.

I found the first couple of times I did this quest that Shokia was constantly stealing my kills. I'd throw, and the projectile delay would be just long enough for her to snipe my target.

To avoid that (and getting really frustrated with the relatively long cooldown on your throws), don't even try for the Jinyu up close. Go for the ones as far away as your range allows. She tends to target closest first.

Also, watch for her mark. It doesn't always go up, but if you see it avoid that target.

Anyone else get a phasing issue after finishing the requirements for the quest? It seemed like EVERYONE except for the flight master and a couple of npc guards disappeared, and reloading/relogging didn't fix the issue. I abandoned the quest but even the questgiver seems to be missing now.

EDIT: After a few minutes, the questgiver came back, I redid the quest, and it let me turn it in this time.

I play a level 54 Tauren Hunter. This alt had spent some time in Pandaria, but had never started the main questline. I was able to start it from the warboard in front of Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar. I followed the questline for an hour or two through battles with the Alliance and dalliances with the Hozen. I proceeded to the point where I completed Boom Goes the Doonamite!. At the completion of the quest, the Hozen were quite grateful and rewarded me well: I got a Jinyu Crossbow as my reward, several other Jinyu weapons were added to my appearance collection, I was granted 38050 reputation with the Forest Hozen, and I became exalted.

So much good it did me ;)
