Couldn't find a place to use the rocket boots, but was able to just swim out to the island at the base of the falls in the middle of the lake directly southwest of Hellscream's Fist. The crates are sitting there with a ? on them and I was able to complete the quest.

The crate you are looking for is in the easternmost lake SW of Hellscream's Fist. On the map, it is the most NW island dot, and has a tree on it. Don't be fooled by the island with the huge tree in the middle of the lake. The one you want is past that.

The crate is on the western end of the small island, and is marked by smoking debris.

Coming in from Hellscream's Reach the boots are used by the edge of the waterfall to the right that's leading off the map. There is a small area with a downwards slope. You use it there.The boots don't work next to the miniature drop off cliffs surrounding the rest of the waterfalls shoreline. It is used as a quick jump to and from the small island.

I found you had to be almost exactly at 24.0 : 27.0 map co-ords to use the boots.

I just ran with my mount and hopped of the cliff where the falls is and got to the package through that.

Go down to the waterfall, on the shore at 24,27 use the boots. it will take you right to the ?. You will get a new quest, They're so Thorny. Use the boots to get you back. Swimming does work too. = )

To be more clear. its 24,27 right next to the waterfall carrying water DOWN from the level of land you are on. There is a tiny piece of land that hits the water, stand dead center of it and they will work.

Crate is located at 22.9 30.5 in the lake. Don't waste 20 mins trying to use the boots and don't jump down the waterfall, simply swim across the lake.

If you do jump down the waterfall use the taxi to fly back up, it even drops you off on top of the crate you need, which is how I found it!

Boots are very frustrating. Can only use them in a very precise area which, by the time you've found it, you could have swam all the way there and back. TEN TIMES!

Yes, you can swim across the water to complete the quest, but if you wish to use the Rocket Boots, I found I was able to do so at the coords of 24, 27.1. This is the shore that's closest to the waterfall that goes down from the Serenity Falls lake area. They're kinda fun.

I read these comments and went to 24:27 and it didn't work. So I moved further east to 23:27 to stand on the shoreline there and bingo, it worked perfectly and landed me right on the island. I turned back towards the shoreline I started from and again, perfect landing.

Even with the exact co-ords boots still dont work save a bigger headache just swim

Get as close as you can to coords 24.0, 27.0 and start mashing the rocket boots icon in your bags or quest tracker, repeatedly. You should be facing the island. It will shoot you right over.

These coords also work:
24.02, 27.12 for the journey to the package.
23.08, 30.59 for the return trip.

Doing this quest on alts now, never realized before that you can activate the boots while mounted.

I don't think a tundra mammoth has ever gone that high that quickly.

I sent out a coupla supply drones from the gunship, and they've all been lost or crashed. Almost all, that is.

One of 'em buzzed right through the camp here and crashed out by them waterfalls.

How 'bout you see what you can do about bringin' the contents of that crate back here, hmm?

We're all outta drones, but my rocket boots might yet come in handy... or footy, as the case may be.
