The Val'kyr, Agatha, that Lady Sylvanas speaks to in this quest is accompanied by two other Val'kyrs named Dashura and Arthura.

All three Val'kyrs are references to the "precogs" from the movie Minority Report: Agatha, Dashiell and Arthur.

Just did this today on my newly risen Forskaen hunter and while I got voice acting for the Warchief, I didn't get any for Sylvanas. Wonder if it's a bug that's going to be fixed.

First of all, I'm getting downrated for expressing an opinion relevant to the quest and topic in a perfectly neutral manner? What is this, YouTube?

Second of all, what he does with Vol'jin isn't at all relevant to what I said, nor did I mention him.

My point is, while Garrosh is certainly crude and does things he shouldn't do, it's easy to have this whole "They're valuable allies and should be respected" and all that from a player point of view, but that's not the same thing.

A minority can very easily give the majority a bad name, justified or no, real life examples are absolutely everywhere, and perfectly good and normal people fall for them. And we're talking "backstabbing killers who toy with deadly plagues" -level here.

And if you've done SFK for example, you'll know that the Forsaken are completely ready to just plain disregard the warnings, calling the orcish High Warlord Cromush basically a "thick-skulled brute with a fool's brain", and play with the plague anyway. There are many similar quests as well, such as gathering those "supplies" in Hillsbrad.

And none of this, mass-raising the dead Lich King -style, allying themselves with the goons of the aforementioned Lich King or developing deadly plagues can possibly look like anything but trouble for any non-Forsaken or has any positive effect on you if you're alive (like Garrosh and the REST OF THE WORLD), but there's a whole lot of potential for disaster. It's all entirely and completely for the Forsaken and the Forsaken alone, there is zero "respect" for any other race in all of Azeroth, and you're complaining that THEY aren't shown enough respect?

I would dare to say that you didn't look at it from all perspectives. Just because Sylvanas is liked and Garrosh hated doesn't mean everything is black and white. Also, I'm seeing way too much trouble making an argument about fictional characters and using way too many silly links, especially considering I'll probably get downrated again and this'll all go to oblivion, but hey. If you read all the way here, have a cookie.

xD bro' the best part is that the "nub" prefix added to your name actually means "(N)ew (U)ndercity (B)atallion" and yes, Sylvannas' audio is broken for this quest. Her lines exist, and are acessible with any MPQ editor, but for some reason they don't play in this quest.

Yes, I think Garrosh is an Ogre-headed buffoon, too. But, that's from the point of view of my Forsaken Huntress who would stop at nothing to please and to serve her Queen. ;) I think the important thing here is that it's well written... people are really passionate about this considering the comments this is generating. The story is really good, and I think that's what matters. Personally, I'm glad Sylvanas is no longer always hiding in the Undercity and seems to have grown a pair.

I stand by my point, if your neighbour was a zombie whose cousin happened to kill half the neighborhood with blueberry pie, you probably wouldn't support his plans of building a pie factory even if it is to support his family no matter how well it's advertised for the dough to be "to die for" (Recipe of the Month in the Cooking Mama And Her Pets -magazine!), especially if you get to see the blueberries being grown with "100% safe mystery fertilizer" provided by Ol' Elkay's "Kill 'Em Good" Nuclear Rat Poison Company.

I am proud to count myself in the not-so-silent minority that detests Sylvanas. In fact, Garrosh calling her, you know, that thing he called her, seriously raised my opinion of him, quite a bit. The Forsaken deserve no respect from anyone because they give no respect to anyone. God, but I would like to see her overthrown and her wretched lot straightened out. They've gone from vaguely evil to distinctly evil.

Sylvanas fanboys may now feel free to downrate the bajeezus out of me.

For those of you wondering like me why this quest isn't happening after you talk to "Mortuus", it seems like it's on some kind of timer. I got there just after someone else had completed it (I could see the portal still there). I waited about 10 minutes or so and then eventually Sylvanas started talking and Garrosh appeared and things went accordingly. So if you're sitting there wondering if you should drop it or not, just hang tight, it'll start eventually.

This is one where you don't want to leave the area. I tried doing another quest & failed this one.
When i got back, the question mark was grey. I could have waited (Emlyn and Architekt confirm it's on a timer), but instead dropped & re-aquired it. I don't know if it would have reset after the 10 to 20 mins that has been talked about below, or if i would have to wait for someone else to come along and do the quest.

Just finished this quest. I acquired it then waited in the area for about 20-30 minutes with nothing happening. I then abandoned the quest and picked it up again and it immediately started. Wish I would've tried that right away...

I must say, I like this little exchange going here, and especially how Sylvanas won their little conversation.

While most will point at when Garrosh called her a *coff* as the point where the battle was won, I would like to direct you a few lines before that, when this little exchange goes on.

Garrosh "What difference is there between you, and the Lich King now?"

Sylvanas "Isn't it obvious, Warchief? I serve the Horde."

It is so well in character for Sylvanas to destroy her opponent in a conversation such as this, and it makes me giggle a little every time, especially when the warmonger doesn't have any other argument to toss back at her than curse words.

She is clever. Potentially evil, yes, but clever. It would not be in character for her to have responded to him with anything after that, because she knew she had already beaten him. No need to lower her standards and talk to him further.

I won't go into the whole *who is the bad one here* debate as that's up to personal opinions. I see a little of right and wrong from both sides, and just leaves it at that.

If you can't get the previous quest Warchief's Command Board from the command board itself because you're too high level you can pick up the quest Warchief's Command: Silverpine Forest! from Executor Zygand just East of the bat handler in Brill, North of Undercity.

As of 9.0, a word that Garrosh says to Sylvanas will be removed. Uncertain if it is going to be replaced with another word to give that impact towards Sylvanas, but just thought to give people here a heads up incase they haven't heard yet.

Really sad to see the conversation between the chief and Sylvanas censored like that. Came back to play after about a 6 year hiatus and was excited about doing this quest chain again. What a bummer.

I mean, what's the point in censoring this word when we flagrantly kill thousands/millions of beasts and folks each day? Participate in genocides even (or at least are complicit in them). What I always found fun about playing Horde is their infighting and how each sect is corrupt/more "evil" than some of the others in various ways. I think what Garrosh said to Sylvanas there was fitting (and hilarious btw).

All of this misguided virtue signalling falls flat when, at it's core, this is a WAR game. Are we to say that if a "kid" plays this game all of the murder and genocide is OK for him to see but what's not OK is two NPC's having an exchange where name-calling is involved? What the F-?

Blizzard, you can't have it both ways. You can't endorse killing and genocide in your game but then find simple name-calling morally reprehensible somehow. Don't be a snowflake.

I have absolutely no idea what Blizzard thought they were fixing by changing phasing and sharding, but I would far rather put up with whatever THAT problem was than put up with what's been going on in Dragonflight. I've been dropped to my death when a climbing world quest suddenly decided I hadn't picked up the climbing gear, got dumped into shard after shard for 8 hours straight while waiting for a rare with a 50 min spawn timer, and of course (like everyone else) had rares vanish on me when they were seconds away from death. And now I can add making Garrosh vanish in mid sentence, making the quest uncompletable.

Sigh.

Abandons quest and picks it back up again.
