This is part of a quest chain in which the player aids Kalecgos (the new blue dragon aspect) in finding Azuregos and protecting him from the black dragonflight. It spans much of the land of Azshara and is composed of many quests, several of which are completely original in their concepts.

its rly boring if u do it at lvl 85 for loremaster as i did... this turtle need few min to arrive and i would probably finish 5 more quests in that time...

If you have flying mount and don't want to wait you can just dismount the turtle. You don't need the turtle to complete the quest.

Leveling an alt in SL expac, Chromy time: Cataclysm, level 35, WA.
After doing Ergll's other 3 quests, he just unexpectedly threw me onto the turtle the moment I accepted this quest.
So I took the long ride on the turtle to the Northern tower. Upon arrival, Sorata was nowhere to be found.
After relogging, which didn't make him appear, I tried abandoning the quest, no Sorata. Went back to Ergll to reacquire the quest only to find that he was gone too.
So I went back to Bilgewater Harbor to find Kalec... you guessed it... gone.
I have no idea what to do to finish this questline, It LOOKS like it could be phasing interference again, but gives NO clue what it wants.
Whatever the case, players, I would suggest you DON'T abandon this "Wash Out" quest!

Assuming that phasing interference is once again the problem, how many YEARS has Blizz had to fix this? Tired of it.

This quest is bugged. The turn-in wasn't there. Tried to /reload. It didn't work, so I tried to relog, and that didn't work. Abandoned it, went back, and the NPC to start the quest was no longer there.

To anyone having phasing issues:

Go complete Twilight Skies first. Be warned this quest is a bit buggy too. Stay on the tower and wait a few minutes through RP for a zeppelin to arrive. Once you get on the zeppelin you might have npcs fade away as you fly over the Arathi Highlands but just sit through it and it will phase back. Once you turn in the quest you can come back to Azshara and turn in this quest. The whole zone will actually be populated so this will fix any other "missing" npcs.

Azy always trying to get his hands on magic artifacts. Said he was trying to make friends with that archmage person. Xylem!

Xylem has LOTS of apprentices. Takes in all kinds, burns'm out, leaves them wandering all over. High turnover.

Last one was last night. Headed over towards that big goblin tower construction thing, way west. Maybe he'll help you meet Xylem? Maybe Xylem knows where Azy is?
