They regen rather rapidly so I farmed the first two locations for lizards to skin, came back to #1, replanted seeds, came back to #2, etc. The mounds are little brown piles of dirt and are not all that plentiful. Hope this helps.

No wonder the Cenarion Circle is having problems bringing life to wastelands: the trees disappear 10 seconds after planting them.

This is similar to the tree-planting quest we did in Charred Vale to the north before the Cataclysm. After the Cataclysm all the new trees were fried again.

I'm currently trying to complete the quest as part of "Master of Lore" with a level 80 character, but the mounds of earth just don't appear for me.
