Tip 1: you fight here right in front of where you get on the water elemental. I mistakenly thought Id just run off to where I first saw/spoke to the naga priestess, but it dismounts you out in the water off the island.

Tip 2: you can auto attack and afk to win this fight if you want. Otherwise, iceblock will restore hpa nd mana and has a low cooldown if you want to just spam spells. Dismount to turn in the quest.

If you are high enough level its faster to just leave the vehicle as soon as the priestess shows up and kill her.

If you're also doing the quest The Karnitol Shipwreck, do that one first or else the mobs directly around the isle will phase out after you finish this quest. You could do this quest first like I did, but then you must swim southwest a bit to find the correct mobs again. Just a heads up.

Valishj is only available ON THIS ISLAND if you start the Lord Hydronis quest "A Revenant's Vengeance". If you are doing the "Going Deep" pre-quest, she is only available on the island S-SE of Ranazjar Isle. See this other version of here for "Going Deep" Valishj. Going Deep

I just did this quest as of today's date. It bugged out and i was unable to auto attack nor use skills after she was down to 25%. I ended up being dismounted when the guy lost all his health because i couldn't attack. I finished her off on my own without the use of the vehicle/NPC but Hydronis had disappeared (although the quest marker was there). I had to log out and relog back in for him to appear.

if you happen to run out of mana somehow so you dont even have mana for ice block like me, you can just jump off and deal with priestess on your own weapons if you dont want to deal with being away from keyboard long time with auto attacks. as druid, with pvp talents on at overworld, i just casted once entangling roots and walked to quest giver. and it killed her without any problems since the revenant just vanishes and didn't break my entangling roots.

Didn't regain mana whatsoever after only a few attacks. I (he) couldn't do anything.

I just dismounted and killed her on my own, not even hard.

What a useless quest.

Seems to be bugged currently. If Lord Hydronis disappears after you beat Lady Valishj - just log out and back in and Lord Hydronis reappears and you can hand the quest in.

Same if you decided to drop the quest and try again.. just relog and you can pick up the quest again. You might need to relog after Valishj dies.

Description

I am Hydronis, a servant of Neptulon the Tidehunter, Lord over all waters.

Azshara and her sinister naga have arrayed themselves against my master, and seek a war with him. This is the first battle in what shall surely be a long struggle.

I have fought bitterly, <race>, and have grown weary.

It seems that my actions here have attracted the attention of their priestess.

Alone, I haven't the strength to overcome her. but perhaps together, we may prevail.
