You may find that the Naga you need to talk to is constantly dead, as max levels training archeology on the island regularly kill it. Extremely frustrating.

Valishj is only available ON THIS ISLAND if you start the quest Going Deep. If you are doing the "A Revenant's Vengeance" later quest, she is only available on the island N-NW called Ranazjar Isle. See this other version of her here for "A Revenant's Vengeance" (Valishj).

NOTE: The quest "Mystery Solved" later on this quest-chain destroys this Slitherblade Charm (text for the quest Going Deep does not tell you this). Also the Slitherblade Charm is only able to be activated while you are in the area that says 'Slitherblade Shores', but while the 150% swim speed and water breathing buff lasts, you can swim/run anywhere in Desolace, including making it into Stonetalon Mountains by swimming. Great for all levels! Sneak up on those pesky level 80+s and wipe them as they scan the skies!

One very good thing about being a Naga AND herbalist and/or miner is that you can gather nodes without losing form!

Other then that .. this IS a fun quest chain, and a nice prelude for when you are doing Visions of Vashj'ir Past in Vashj'ir.

I couldn't find the Priestess. But as soon as I used the charm, her location popped up on map. Valishj, Priestess of Azshara, L-45 Elite. Large island SE of quest-giver, about 30/31. I was the only one around and it's 9:30 pm on Sunday.

Druids, do not use the charm whilst shapeshifted, because if you do that will count as it being used (it does not work) and you'll have to get another from Korrah.

If you run into this Glitch:

Well I went to the Island and tried to talk to the Priestess Valishj but nothing would happen, she just basically totally ignored me.

her name showed up in Red, like an enemy. But every time I clicked on her it said 'this party is friendly'

Try this:
Apparently it is a small glitch, if you run into this problem even though you are already a Naga, just go far enough away out of sight in the water and re-use the Charm/Gem to Shape Shift. It will go through the spell again and you'll stay a Naga. Return to the Priestess Valishj and you should be able to talk to her now.

if you want to get out of the naga costume right click the buff, then use the charm again when you want to get in the costume again

If you're like me, (impatient) be careful... when you activate the disguise you must not move for a couple seconds for it to take effect. And... if you find you moved too soon and you have not actually been disguised as a Naga, but the use of the Slitherblade Charm shows as completed (moving from 0/1 to 1/1) and then disappears from next to your quest... fear not, it's still in your bag. You do not need to run all the way back to get another one.

Careful starting pet battles when in naga form! You lose your naga form, and after the battle, you do not get your character's user interface back. That's especially bad as all the nagas nearby become enemies. Only log-out and back in seems to restore it.

Beware of tight places. This fair maiden of the sea is far from nimble when it comes to bushes, pillars and the sort. It's relatively easy to back away, but it is a little embarrassing.

Talk about broken! If you need a new charm, you come back and she won't talk to you. But after you abandon the quest, she will offer to give you a new charm, which will do you no good since you had to abandon the quest. Nice job, broken 6 years?

Then the charm does nothing and she kills you.

This and the follow up quests, in naga form, are quick and easy XP.

Ignore the doom and gloom postings here. Druid? Or anyone else really who can have a shapeshifted form, you get an in game quest warning to shift out before you are able to adopt the naga disguise. Blizzard have not left you high and dry in that regard.

Description

I have fashioned a charm that will allow you to infiltrate the naga, giving you the appearance of one of their own.

With this disguise, you will be able to speak and understand their language. They will be unable to discern your true identity.

But beware! The sharks and other sea creatures here will expose you for all to see. Avoid them at all costs.

Now go. Speak to the Priestess of Azshara and do what you must to learn of their purposes here.
