Leviroth resides under the Iceblock at 51, 88. Or at the little island in the middle-north of the Riplash Ruins. Little Warning: When you impaled him, you'll have to fight him from 8% to zero. Watch the amount of air you've left ;)

You actually don't need to worry about air at all. When you swim down to where he is located, there is a round rock with a jagged crack in it and bubbles coming out of it. Just stand over it and you gain the effect "Air Bubbles" and fills your breath for you. You can even fight him while standing over the bubbles.

Look at the zone map, Where the legend says "Riplash Ruins", the Iceberg is below the second letter "R"

This guy was very hard for me to find because I didn't know what I was looking for & the map was no help at all.

Go to the bottom of the ocean at 46,84 to find an air pocket. You'll notice on the mini map that you are actually inside a huge trench. Swim west along the bottom of the trench until it opens up to a huge open area. Then swim south following the air pockets. You'll eventually end up under the glacier at 51,88. Watch out because he will spawn right on top of you if someone just killed him. He's easy enough to solo. Just use the trident & kite him to the air bubble so you don't drown.

Very interesting fight lol. You use the Trident and his health goes to like 1%, which is still like 10,000 HP. He has a very big seizure while you kill him, and flips around and does backflips and everything. Then when he died, there is a big splash as he falls dead... underwater :P

Very easy. I did this with a Lvl 70 Hunter, with crappy Armor =)

I JUST did this quest.. took the directions based on the 2nd R.. I had a 71 Hunter, and spend 2 g on an underwater breathing potion.. when my track Humionds found him, I drank the potion... swam down.. and it was all DONE before 1 MIN was up on my hour long potion....

Was really simple for me. 71 draenei frost mage. I found him, impaled him and killed him.
Sleeping, psht. You would think your closeness would I don't know.. agro him, but it doesn't. So I almost thought he was dead too, but luckily, I read beforehand. Thanks guys!

so Azshara imprisoned the Kraken Leviroth 500 years ago.. (what time was that?)

then she blessed the trident of one Raj Naz´jan (a Naga?), so it would be capable of slaying Leviroth in case he would escape...

If she could slay Leviroth herself, then why did she just imprison him?

I am not able to kill Leviroth. Using the quest item doesnt do nothing. He is everytime under the water, and until I came back to the top, he killed me every time. What is wrong?

easiest "heres a special item, go kill the big bad" so far :D

head down to him, if your a warlock cast "Unending Breath", otherwise, as Xier said, there are bubble comming up from a crack just in front of him, if your gaining the benifit of the bubbles, your close enough to use the trident.

use the trident, and then battle him, hes pretty frickin easy really. scary as all hell when he wakes up but then, wouldn't you be @#$%ed if someone woke you by sticking a fork in you? ;)

oh, plus side, if you have breathing help (ie, unending breath), the swim back under the water is kinda cool, props to blizzard for designing some cool underwater features. i took a screen shot to use as my background on my desk top :D

Just a note, for anyone else who runs into the same issue I just did:

It appears Leviroth will become disgusted with you, evade, and disappear before you can kill him if you use any special abilities (such as Adrenaline Rush or Evasion on my rogue). I tried him four times in a row, each time using one or both of the above mentioned abilities, and each time he disappeared. The fifth time, I went without using anything special, and he stuck around for me to finish him off. I don't know if this is bugged, or intentional, but just an FYI.

Well I did it on my warrior and it was easy! Once i used trident on him he was low HP and I was able to use Execute on him. Basicly I made him die in seconds...

This was probably the quickest and easiest quest that i can remember. After i used the trident to impale him, i used arcane blast on my mage and like andreneves said, he was dead in literally seconds, had absolutely no trouble with this.

This was super easy - i buffed up all i could ( lvl 71 Frost Mage ) got my Crits all ready and all my clones ready to fight this enormous beast and 2 shot and he was done... cakewalk

When on the bubbling rock , look up , there he is, I didn't realize he was so big, swam down to rock and thought the bottom of him was part of an island or something.

FYI, classes with pets (Mages, Hunters, Death Knights etc), put your pet(s) on Passive. After you use the trident, your pet one shots the mob and you don't get credit.

When on this quest, be on the hunt for a secret cave and a mysterious White Murloc Egg very near by. If cared for well, you might get a new Terky friend.

I did this quest today. It seems that with patch 7.3.5 impaling Leviroth will only reduce him to about 30% health. For my lvl 60 shaman that meant he had 30-40k health left. He doesn't hit too hard as far as I could discern, much like normal mobs actually. However, I only managed to dps him for about 1k, so it takes much longer than it used to.

Not so easy to kill anymore - I just did this quest and after I stabbed him with the trident he was still at almost full health.

Bugged as of 6/13/2021, Leviathan is orange and trident does not knock his health to a point like before. Not sure if the new phasing system has is messed up but its not working. Plan on dying.

Is far more difficult in retail than it should be. The spear takes him to about 70% health (im lv35) instead of 8% so I still had to fight him for about 70 seconds, popping out to heal myself as a druid. This may be difficult to solo if you don't have good self heals.
So about 15k health at roughly 200 dps, while he hits me for 120-170 with occasional Mortal Strikes for 235 (about 85 dps taken at 35) so I had to self heal at least twice.

If you find that the trident quest item doesn't do anything or affect him, you may have to disable your addons, unless you know which one is responsible, (then just disable that one.) For me, it was Persistent World Map.

Find Leviroth in the waters below the iceberg floating among the northern edge of Riplash Ruins. Use the Trident of Naz'jan to slay him and return to Karuk to the north of Riplash Strand.

Description

Raj Naz'jan was the emperor of Riplash when Leviroth was imprisoned. Azshara herself blessed his trident so it would slay the beast should it ever escape.

Now you wield it, <race>. As much as it disgusts me, I will have my revenge on these barbaric giant-men.

Take the trident to the depths beneath Riplash. You will find Leviroth below an iceberg closest to northern Riplash.

Drive the trident into his flesh and slay him! Return to whomever sent you when you're done; I wish to see no more of you.
