As far back into the cave as you can go, there is an escort quest and a key quest, go kill the keymaster then the boss at end, then go to the escort and unlock.

The quest item (the murloc suit) is currently bugged - it can only be used in Winterfin Village and Caverns, but the cave is tagged as part of Westrift and Coldarra - so as soon as you set foot in there the costume fades. Fortunately you do not have to be costumed to complete the quest, just hack your way through to Claximus.

technically U don't have to wear the suite. U can fight all the way into the end of the cave to kill the crab. Suite will make u friendly to all the murlocs

If you had your bags full like me, you got the quest but you didn't get the uber-cool suit! Don't finish it, you don't get to receive another "spare" one either, you lost it for ever unless you still haven't done the quest but don't got the item in the bags. Abandon and retake, if you already finished it then contact a GM and get it back using item restoration credits. :(

Not as exciting but you can do /sleep to find out how murlocs sleep.

Also, as a miner, I almost feel like a ninja when wearing the suit in this cave. But, I just turned in the quest anyways. :)

When the murloc waves, his eye pops out. So funny. The sleep is one of the wildest things. /lol is pretty blah.
A lot of the normal emotes dont work as a murloc though, like shy, flirt, cower and a few others. And ya swim slower and like a normal murloc.
If anyone could post the jokes, that would be intresting. I cant hear them because of my sound .. >.>

But yea, for this quest, you dont have to go into Coldarra. Its just the cave to the west of the questgiver. Not hard at all, run all the way through and kill him. Dont have to kill anyone around him and you can put on the suit right after you kill him. Works out nice!

if you rotate and take a look at the posterior, you will discover a cute pair of heart-printed underwear peeking through a gap in the suit. haha. not sure if it's your character's, or whether King Mrgl-Mrgl included it with the suit!

edit: i also found that when you jump, there's a chance that you will fall flat on your face (i would say about 20% of the time)- its hilarious. try it and see =)

While your down there complete the quest to kill the Keymaster, the murloc you let out will pretty much kill everything that would normally be in your path for the nearby escort quest.

Alright i did this chain on my first toon to 80 and regretted actually completing it. Any1 recall what it unlocks quest wise or leads to? Im thinking of leaving this uncompleted on my second toon through so that i can always come back and enjoy the suit if i feel so inclined given that it is unattainable at this juncture.

I like the fact that sleeping and sitting is the same thing for a murloc, except that they simply put their head between their arms when sleeping.

Cool quest. It's quite easy actually, all you have to do is run through the cave and confront Claximus, who is, as far as I could tell, 'just' an ordinary mob. The suit is what really makes it special. I think this is the first quest which had me laughing the whole time. Kinda hoped you would get the suit as a reward, but hey, maybe it's so funny because it's a once in a lifetime thing.

Now I just regret that I didn't try out all emotes.

Quest name may be a reference to a memorable scene in "The Once and Future King", in which two knights are dueling. One is pinned by the other who says, "Pax?" (Peace) to which the pinned knight replies "Pax" after being helped up the surrendering knight pushes the other over and yells, "Non!" (Not!)

Any action makes you drop the suit, including picking up clams.

When you complete the quest, the suit option obviously leaves your list. However you can still activate it from your backpack, for an easy walk out.

This could have been a really fun quest if Blizzard hadn't dtopped the ball ... sadly it's either bugged or just so ill-conceived it's difficult to fathom: there's no way to get out of the suit except for leaving the zone, even dropping the quest didn't do it.

Surprised no one's brought this up yet, but I suppose the comical nature of the quest draws away from this point of fact: apparently, this quest actually requires you to commit a war crime.

According to the YouTube video "Top 10 Morally Questionable Quests in WoW" by hirumaredx, the required action for this quest is known as "perfidy." Hirumardex goes on to quote Wikipedia:

"In the context of war, perfidy is a form of deception in which one side promises to act in good faith (such as by raising a flag of truce) with the intention of breaking that promise once the enemy is exposed (such as by coming out of cover to attack the enemy coming to take the "surrendering" prisoners into custody). Perfidy constitutes a breach of the laws of war and so is a war crime, as it degrades the protections and mutual restraints developed in the interest of all parties, combatants, and civilians.

In practice, combatants find it difficult to respect protected persons and objects if experience causes them to believe or suspect that their adversaries are abusing a claim to protection under international law to gain a military advantage."

So yeah. War crime and a violation of international law, even if the enemy happens to be mind-controlling an entire colony of Murlocs.

It would be helpful if real information on this quest was shared and not personal discussions about frivilous topics were discussed, oh say like, how the coords in the map do NOT show the actual coords to the cave entrance. Perhaps, important posts could be made on where and how to enter the cave for this quest could be mentioned?

Using the suit is not required to complete the quest.

It just prevents the merlocs from agro'ing.

Description

The time has come to put an end to this unnatural situation, <name>. For the Winterfin murlocs to have a chance at a future, Claximus must die!

I want you to take my spare murloc suit and enter the Winterfin Caverns under the pretext of surrender. With the white flag in hand, the murlocs won't attack you.

You'll find him in the southwestern most corner of the caverns. Once you get close enough, deal with Claximus. Bring me one of his claws as proof that the grisly deed has been done.
