To people who think feral is blasting in M+:check feral damage on boss in M+. They are competing with tanks...Great article btw. Perfectly points out every bad aspect of a spec. It clearly shows that author played feral just a bit. For me it's the same problem as ret paladin in Aberrus. Good in single target, good in AoE, but never on both at the same time. That's why cat is good in keys, there are a lot of AoE. The moment you go to the boss and tank didn't chain anything, your damage goes to the floor.
Feral is more fun than it’s ever been. My main complaint is the lack of adaptive swarm. This post feels like a Druid discord take.
druids can have 1 spec thats not considered top tier, jesus christ.
I think so far Guiltyas has dubbed feral "the most disappointing ", "the worst it has ever been", etc. for like 3-4 expacs now
Every expansion has feral simming that THIS is the patch that the spec is finally going to be competitive. You get all the "THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING" videos and people say their rerolling to this new insane feral spec because THIS TIME it's actually fixed. And then it's fighting for bottom DPS, again. Like it always is. Every. Single. Time. It's not like Blizzard can't fix it. A blanket aura damage increase would be lazy, but a quick fix they can hotfix in whenever, and It's not like the feral community is quiet and refusing to share their feedback for making a more substantive change either. You get to BE A CAT ON THE INTERNET... how could they continually mess this up for 20+ years?
they should honestly rework the whole spec away from being a pseudo rogue. give it a completely new resource like Bloodthirst or something that increases your spender damage based on bleeding targets in your proximity. and when fighting only a few or one target there could be an ability that multiplies the bleed damage more the fewer targets have a bleed around you. an ability that would result in dps loss if used with alot of bleeding targets, but a big dps increase on 1-2 targets.
Aside from overall ST throughput, Chomp sounds so fun on paper, but is quite annoying in practice. The low energy requirement has been irking me, between Omen of Clarity and surprisingly fast energy gains even at low Haste, and the temptation to hit Tiger's Fury, it is often difficult to lower your energy enough to even enable Chomp. It there's Bloodlust on pull, I can basically forget about Chomp for a while, just cooldowns and Shred&FB spam, keep an eye on the icon, maybe you'll run low on energy after half a minute.
What's with the bucket pick? Probably a bored author who talks about his main, and has posting privileges.
Wowhead please change this feral's guide writer. He doesn't know what he's been saying for years.
Stop using AI %^&* wowhead, you @#$%^&*es
This seems so odd and out of touch. Like, tunnel vision extraordinaire. Hyper fixation on a single aspect of ferals play-style.
Tell me something about underpeforming, i play fire mage and Its feel terrible, Its need some tunning
Feral is just in the gutter in raid right now. There’s no way to compete — not with melee, not with ranged, not even with tanks. Blizzard is basically forcing us to play something else if we want to contribute. It feels awful for a spec that used to have a clear identity.
