刃兽王 rare is located in 斯托颂谷地 The Jeweled Coast on Kul Tiras isle.
You can find it north from Fort Daelin inside the island cave.

Kill 刃兽王机械技师 in the cave to summon Sabertron

There are 5 colors of Sabertron.
By default it spawns in red color, to get a different color you have to do a world quests on Sabertron.
There are 4 world quests on it with the same name, the difference is that each quest spawns different color.
You can tame it with 机械联结烙印矩阵.

To tame Sabertron you must have Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix (or be goblin/gnome) and let the Technician activate it, so be sure he doesn't die too quickly :D

It seems to be just one color activating per day. Just killed the red Sabertron four times in a row. And the hunter I ran into there waiting to kill him had JUST tamed the red one too, so that's five activations in a row.

As of 8/14/18 this mob does NOT scale. I went over there at 117 specifically to tame him, and he spawned lvl 120.
Be prepared to spend some time here. It took a few cave clears before he even spawned for me.

This npc is very inconsistent, wouldn't put it past to say he's currently bugged, only spawns the red cat, and even then inconsistent about even spawning the cat (roughly once every 3 tries he spawns the cat) def gonna report this to blizz

Sadly when this pet is tamed it loses all of it's mechanical sounds, it even yawns like the normal sabercat models. I hope that is a bug and will be fixed eventually.

Just tamed him on live, you must kill the Techinician NEAR the Red Mecha Cat or he won't activate Sabertron and the Techinician will take longer to respawn.
If the Sabertron is killed or tamed the Techinician respawns much faster :)

Both the rare and the achievement are references to Voltron (Beast King GoLion and Voltron: Legendary Defender).

Once you kill the Sabertron Technician, the red cat activates. Do not kill the Sabertron Technician too quickly, if you do the cat will not activate. You must also stand next to the red cat. Once activated the cat is tamable. Of course, you must have the ability to tame mechanical pets for this to work.

There's really nothing I can add that hasn't been said, except don't be surprised if someone comes up behind you and starts hitting him mid-tame and breaks it. Is exactly what happened to me, a hunter no less. Despite rares respawning in 30 seconds, they have no patience for a short tame...saying that, good news is it's a short respawn, so just sit tight and it'll be right back up.

hello small advice the mobs and the cat is a 120 mob so before you can tame it you need to be 120. since everyone fails to mention it. after many death by 120 mobs the sabretron is also 120 cant be tamed so before waisting 30 min like me on low lvlv there ja go.

Very important to note:

Mobs scale with you only in your faction’s zones. So Alliance will scale with this pet and the Horde won’t. Petopia says you should be able to tame at 118 but I have not tested yet.

This is going to suck for hunters that want the other colors. Since it's a world quest required to get one of the random other colors vs the red one you get otherwise, everyone and their mother is going to come in and kill it while you're trying to tame it. Between jerks just wanting to be annoying, people too impatient to wait ten seconds for a tame, or as others mentioned, hunters killing it to prevent you getting it (see above, re jerks), this is going to be one miserable to get set of pets. I hope the other ones shown on Petopia become available.

I followed the instructions given by several posters here. Stand by the red lion, kill the technician slowly, etc. I've done this twice now but no Sabertron activates. The goblin's dying words are "Sabertron activate...ugh!" and then nothing...

I just tried taming him because the WQ was up. The green variant (I wanted) spawned. However. After everyone and their mother killed it, I figured to at least complete the WQ.

Stupid mistake.

After completing the WQ, the basic spawn becomes active again. Meaning that anyone else who hasn't yet completed thd WQ, will activate a green one (or whatever color is up for you), but if you complete the WQ, all you get is red afterwards.

Unless you find someone to be patient to activate it, but not yet kill it, you won't tame it this way. Lesson learned.

Just tamed him now about 30 minutes ago on live, and I will state that it was quite the challenge to be able to do so, especially since members of the opposite faction figured out exactly what I was doing and camped the mob in an attempt to stop me from achieving my goal. My only suggestion is...DO NOT GIVE UP! Keep spamming the heck out of that tame button and eventually he will be your's! Persistence is certainly your ally here, as well as a dose of luck :)

I now have the red and the green.

Today, while the World Quest was up, I tamed the green one before killing him eight times. Either by coincidence or pattern, he perfectly alternated between his usual red and WQ green every time. From this I believe I can somewhat reliably confirm that each instance of the WQ only allows ONE colour to spawn in addition to his standard red skin.

Hopefully, the next time the WQ is up it'll be a new colour, which I'll also try and tame. I want to kill all five for the achievement, obviously, but I also want to tame all five and put them in my five main pet slots on the off-chance that something cool with happen. The Sabertron Technician mob says "Five mini cats come together to form one super cat!", and I'm hoping this means something awesome for hunters in addition to being a great Voltron reference.

Only time will tell!

EDIT: Got the yellow today. Forty-eight days between WQ respawns.
EDIT: And now copper. Twelve days between yellow and copper respawns. Only orange to go!
EDIT: Yellow appeared again today. First time there's been a repeat of a colour, Orange still has yet to appear.
EDIT: Got the orange today. Equipped all five in my five pet slots. Unfortunately, nothing cool happened.

The first time I encountered this "rare" I killed the technician and proceeded to tame the Red. I waited for the respawn then killed the Technician again hoping to this time kill one for the Achievement credit and nothing spawned. The next dozen times I tried the event over the course of a month nothing would ever spawn when the Technician died. Then I had a thought, is my pet getting the killing blow? Is me having my pet out interfering somehow because I already have the Red one as a pet? So I dismissed my pet killed the technician solo and low-and-behold the Red Sabertron came to life. Thinking it may be a fluke because I was standing right in front of the Red, I killed him again solo, this time in front of the Green and the Red one came to life. Deciding to try it again for a Bug Report I killed the Technician near the opening of the Cave using my pet until he was about to die, then dismissing my Pet so I got the killing blow, and the Red one came to life again.

TLDR: The spawn bug seems related (in my case at least) to Hunters having a pet out and/or their pet getting the killing blow even with something like Kill Command. Every test I did for the next 3 kills in any part of the cave, as long as I was solo when the Technician died resulted in the Red spawn coming to life.

Today's Sabertron WQ did the Yellow one. You still have the problem where if you DPS the technician too quickly, they won't activate the Sabertron, so you have to slow your DPS in his low HP stages to enable that to happen.

Have you seen the picture for the Blue-Black Sabertron? (as of this patch, model not used in game, sadly)

The angle of the picture is tough to see but I swear that armor looks like it was salvaged from Tychus Findley's CMC Combat Suit! I hope this becomes available some time.

Sabertron will NOT appear if you kill his servants one by one as they respawn. Wait for all three to respawn then kill them all and the Sabertron will spawn as well.

This is quest is currently bugged, it should spawn when you kill the Sabertron Technician but it happens nothing...
