Battling Splint Jr. is for the Legion World Quest Fight Night: Rats, and ideally you should do that without turning into a giant super turtle! :-)

The fight is extremely easy. For example using a Zandalari Anklerender (Kneebiter works as well):

I didn't have many pets in the beta so I 2manned it with a River Calf (1,2,2) and a Fel Piglet (1,2,2).

River Calf is very strong with its shield against Splint's multiple attacks

Splint Jr is part of the Dalaran Pet Tournament, and is occasionally available to fight as part of a Menagerie-style rotation of encounters. Defeating him will complete the Fight Night: Rats World Quest, which is automatically accepted so don't worry about picking it up. Completing the quest rewarded me with some Battle Pet Bandages.

This fight is tuned to be beginner-friendly and shouldn't give you too much trouble with Level 25 pets. Mitigation moves such as Stoneskin and Shell Shield are especially effective.

River Calf style pets are very strong. I used the River Calf with Bite, Stoneskin and Headbutt. The Flat-tooth Calf, Mudback Calf, Albino River Calf or the Feline Familiar all share the Beast Damage/Stoneskin combo that works so well here. Crabs or Turtle pets will do it too. Emerald Whelpling(1,2,1) can solo this battle as long as you keep emerald presence up and tranquility when you take damage. It took a while but I never dropped below 75% hp.

斯普林特二世 is a giant white rat with 50% damage reduction.

His main attack is 奔踏, so any pet with 甲壳护盾 or 石肤术 will work, as they will block 100% of the damage from stampede. Alternately, either 赞达拉撕踝者 or 赞达拉袭胫者 is a total rock star choice here, and either will absolutely be able to solo this fight with 狩猎小队 and黑爪. Ideally you want a pet that has at least one ability that deals beast damage for this match, as the extra damage will help against Splint's 50% damage reduction.

This fight is extremely accessible to players with only a few high-level pets and those who are going for the all-one-pet-family achievements. You can even go out and catch a pet to do this daily. I used a level 23 沼泽蟹 and was able to solo it with just that pet. Throw in two other pets to level and you're all set.

Splints Jr. doesn't count toward 全谱系制霸, but non-aquatic options with the damage reduction abilities include: 泥背幼崽, 阿努比萨斯人偶, 蛋蛋, 翡翠触须, 僵尸龙虾人, and 紫袍玉虎 if you're lucky enough to have one. Mechanical pets with 强化护甲, like 机械小蝎子 or 坏松鼠5000型 will also work.

This can be easily soloed with a 沼泽蟹.

Start off with 甲壳护盾.

Follow that up with 割裂 followed by 沐血.

Reapply 甲壳护盾 every time it has 1 round before expiration and spam 割裂 followed by 沐血 when it's available.

决斗之夜：鼠辈！ is randomly available in Dalaran (28.22, 23.91) and only visible if you've unlocked World Quests. Rewards will vary.
- Quick Note: Splint Jr. is NOT a part of 全谱系制霸.

斯普林特二世 is a level 25 legendary with the following attacks:
- 抓挠, 剧毒长牙, 奔踏, passive buff: 精英

My Team (really just stacked my slots with 抽水, but 1 & 2 are examples with more attacks):

幼年变异战龟 (1,1,1) - new this xpan, has the recommended mitigation for this fight: 甲壳护盾
长腿 (2,?,2) - unusual in that 湍流旋涡 and 抽水 don't share an ability slot
欢跃水黾 (1,1,2) - pets with same attacks here

My 幼年变异战龟 was able to mostly solo this fight by maintaining 甲壳护盾 and spamming 抽水.

Full team attack priority:

甲壳护盾, refresh with 1 round remaining
湍流旋涡
抽水

I brought a Smolderweb Hatchling along just in case.
using Strike, Brittle Webbing, and Leech Life.
This guy takes a bit more damage than the spider with stoneskin, but could clean up a fight if needed.

Splint Jr is not part of the Family Familiar achievement, so I mix it up with bleed/maul team:

Bucktooth Flapper (2,1,1)
Curious Wolvar Pup (2,2,2)

Flapper opens with a Screech then Woodchipper (to bleed)

Wolvar comes in with a Maul (boosted by the bleed), then bite to finish off the rat.

I was able to beat with just 菊苣嬉闹者. 2,2,2

Start with dazzling dance, barkskin and bite. Refresh dance and barkskin as needed. I finished up with about 25% health left.

I used Jumping Spider 2/2/2 and Dusk Spiderling 1/1/2, with a Flayer Youngling in the third slot. I didn't need the third pet :)

Splint Jr. is a critter doing critter damage, so you want humanoids doing beast damage.

Curious Wolvar Pup

I found that I could not solo him with just one pet, so as others have pointed out...

Anubisath Idol

...is also pretty good. The sandstorm keeps all those critter stampedes essentially damageless.

Start the fight with a carry pet. A lowbie humanoid can usually survive whatever critter damage is dealt in the Splint Jr's first attack. I go with Wolvar second and he can almost do the job himself. Use Anubisath as backup since he takes longer.

For the Snowfeather Hatchling Falcosaur "Team Rumble", I used:

* Unborn Val'kyr (2,2,2)
* Giant Bone Spider (2,1,1)
* Snowfeather Hatchling (2,2,2)

First, curse of doom, then shadow shock until the Unborn Val'kyr falls. Then I used Unholy Ascension during the undead round. Giant Bone Spider then just webbed and then a Leech Life, then Poison Spit until it died. This left Splint down to around 20% health left. Snowfeather Hatchling then just needed to Crouch, then Warning Squawk, then Savage Talon for the remainder of the fight.

2 pet strategy:

Fox + Spider

I used an Alpine Fox and a Crystalline Broodling.

Start off with Dazzling Dance then Howl >> Switch to Spider << Brittle Webbing then Spiderling Swarm... If he still isn't dead use a Rend.
I had a Mischief on standby but he wasn't needed.

Very easy strat for 利爪小队大乱斗.

Go get yourself 2 可怕的嗜魔者s from northern Azsuna (Ley-Ruins of Zarkhenar). They only spawn after 20:30 server time but they're always lvl25 rare P/S breed, so all you need to do is get them up 2 levels after capturing with your dragonkin/mech team (dragon to weaken, mech to last out while attempting to cage). Your Garrison Menagerie daily should sort you out with enough battle pet stones to just ding them back up to 25 without faffing around.

Pets:
1. 可怕的嗜魔者 /-2-1
2. 利爪雏龙 1-/-1
3. 可怕的嗜魔者 /-2-/

Rounds:
1. 奥术风暴
2. 能量涌动
3. Recovery
4. Recovery. Pets dies. Bring in
5. 隼龙围攻！
6. 隼龙围攻！ continues
7. 掠食之击 pet will be on VERY low health
8. Swap to 2nd 可怕的嗜魔者
9. 能量涌动 Splint Jr. dies

This strategy relies on zero crits from Splint Jr. on rounds 5 through 7, so if he crits you on any of those; reset. Crits on any other round are fine. In fact, a crit on round 3 that kills your first 可怕的嗜魔者 will shorten the fight by 1 round.

I got my own little 100% win tactic

I start the fight off with my 阿努比萨斯人偶I use his Sandstorm ability then I swap in my P/P 小坏狼 I then use Mangle I follow up with Claw spam when I am at the last turn of sandstorm I use Howl followed up by a claw, the next claw afterwards will often kill Splint Jr.

There is a chance he may never use Stampede which is not an issue so just keep carrying something like a P?P 昆莱小雪人 or a P/P 格噜噜 or as I call it a Trumpling for 3rd slot back up which is very rare that Bad wolf does not solo with sandstorm.

Sandstorm makes you block his stampede which makes the Bad Wolf take no damage and does not gain the increased damage taken effect which results in turns of no damage as a result.

Other pets you could do this with is any pet with a beast move and a howl like effect, though Humanoid would be best in terms of reduction to damage taken by critter based attacks.

Can use this guy to help along with levelling lower pets, although be warned i didn't seem to get much xp. Start with your Idol, using sandstorm on cooldown, and deflection on cooldown unless he is in the middle of stampede (lasts three rounds unless he uses it again), then just spam Crush.

You can swap in your levelling pet while he's stampeding as long as Sandstorm was up, they shouldn't take damage, then swap back immediately. If Anubisath dies, swap in your Whelp, throw up Emerald Presence and spam Emerald Bite or Breath, no matter. I chose Proto-Strike in case i wanted to dodge whatever came after the stampede but wasn't necessary.

An Emperor Crab can handle this battle and carry two medium-level pets along with him. Keep Shell Shield up, use either healing option as needed, and Snap, Snap, Snap, the rest of the time. Once Splint Jr. starts a stampede, bring each of the carry pets, one after the other, and have Crab finish off with Snap, Sna.....well, you get the idea. Not a ton of XP for the carry pets, but might as well take advantage of what ever is offered.

Use 猛咬, 复苏之雾, and 甲壳护盾

Strat:

Open with 甲壳护盾 then 复苏之雾.
Fill with 猛咬
Renew 甲壳护盾 and 复苏之雾 when they are on their last tick

Wasnt looking for anything major, just a quick kill. So used Zandalari Anklerender and Ikky. Standard black claw and hunting part/flock for both and that's it. Could slip a levelling pet in anywhere I am guessing.

Anbsiath Idol gets most of the way there with sandstorm on CD and crush in between.

Pretty much any other 2 pets can do the trick for the rest.
