The 达罗毗荼的全视之眼头盔 is to commemorate Hexu's "guide dog", Davidian. Both guys deserve the highest praise for what they overcome to do something that comes naturally to us.

A level 80 helmet so awesome, it has an ilevel from a full expansion's worth of raid tiers later.

Seriously, this thing's ilevel is just shy of Heroic Dragon Soul. That is a hell of a level 80 helm.

Now, let's take a look at all the epic gears in Cata. it's still better than almost all of the epics in Cata!

So, at level "80", this is easily the best in slot item until level 85.

it would sell for a lot in AH but, if you're a level 80 twink, you should collect all the ilvl 409 items that you can use, see Link.

The top DPS of my 80 warlock with only one 409 piece when I started to run Wotlk heroics goes up to 10k (avg 8k), which is better than my 85 mage when he started to run MoP normals.

Imagine this in PvP, talk about doing the ganking, with only one person.

Since this is a world drop, you might have better luck buying it from AH from people who doesn't know the true value of this piece.

This item is as awesome as the story behind it. Items such as this are usually customized for the person's toon they are dedicated to; Hexu being an enhancement shaman, and 达罗毗荼的全视之眼头盔 being optimal for Davidian ( A frost dk). Both items being helmets is also very fitting! BZ to Blizzard for making this happen, and also to these two guild mates!

赫克斯的巨化头盔 is far superior to any other mail agility helm of its level requirement by a whopping 117 ilvls, and will last you well into level 85.

The sockets on this are almost completely useless. Because MoP gems require ilvl 417 or higher, you can't use them - most likely because this was intended to increase leveling speed. However, Cata meta gems still have the "must have x number of color y" requirements to activate and chances are if you're using this pre-85 you don't have any other sockets and once you're at 85 you're going to be in Pandaria with quest green/blues that accept MoP gems that make the bonus stats from the helm useless!

Dunno what Blizz was thinking here.

Note that if you want to gem this, you'll be limited to Cata gems (such as 影魂钻石), since MoP gems require 417.

Now that gems scale down, I'm not sure if this is still the case. The stats of MoP gems will definitely scale down to Cata level though, I think until 86. Something to keep in mind anyway.
