This is crafted from a pattern sent in the mail by Greatfather Winter to Alliance tailors (250+) only. There's no quest to complete, if you're a tailor and 250 or greater, the pattern for this will appear in your mailbox on the first day of Winter's Veil (in game Christmas event). The Horde gets the pattern for

I got this today on my tailor (skill 372)... though the recipe was grey (and at the bottom of the crafting list) I still got a skill point for making one. (It was about the fifteenth I had made.)

On a side note, it seems that both and are bugged and let you skill up your tailoring up to 375 even if they're gray, but i'm not the one who told you. (I guess it's a nice christmas present for tailors, but I doubt it was intended)

Most of the time when the pattern won't appear in your mailbox, a simple relogging or /console reload ui does the trick. I was also freakin out but i just relogged and it was there :) hope this helped~

Me and my friend are both at 375 tailoring but didn't recieve anything in the mail yet, there also isn't anything about it on the AH. (This is on Runetotem EU).
On my alt's server it is indeed on the AH and all tailors I asked did recieve it already. (Auchindoun EU).
Does anyone know if this is restricted to servers, or if some servers just maybe get it a bit later then others?

Edit: I did read all the comments above, and I relogged many times but it made no difference.

I recommend alliance to try selling these at the neutral AH too, horde may want them (I know I do). Likewise the other way around.

As a horde, I ran into Ironforge and died near the goblin vendor. When I ressurected I was able to buy the red clothes pattern from the vendor before I died.

You can put this up at AH again after you've equipped it and gotten your achievement. Same goes for the other armors (except for the hat, of course).

I became rich selling this item. I earned 1500g in 2 weeks selling this on horde. I sold each one for 30-40g and it only cost me 5g to make. I might have died a few times getting it out of Ironforge but it was well worth the trouble. I can't wait till next Christmas and i can start selling again :D

Unlike several other outfits that are chest-worn items and yet still cover legs (usually shorts), you cannot layer pants/kilts under these. Don't worry, you can still see a shirt ... hooray?

For example, you can layer a kilt or pants with Festival Suits or Overalls to create a unique look. With this (and its Green counterpart), you cannot. Go figure, I'd love to make it look like my little elf was wearing thigh-high black boots!

Prior to 2017 Winter Veil, if you have made/had the following :

Be aware these do not appear nor can they be added to your appearance tab, but will still be in your bag. Also they will not be changed to the newer item that you can add to your appearance tab.You will need to obtain/make and equip a new set that can be crafted from the same recipe. They are green and BOE.

The old, common quality (white) version of Red Winter Clothes can no longer be crafted. These have a distinct advantage; they don't bind, so they can be mailed and shared for the achievement.

The white common version can no longer be used for the set achievement (冬天来了), you must use the Green/uncommon version. Do not buy any common Green or Red Winter Clothes if you are trying to get the achievement. The only bonus the common items have over the uncommon is you can wear them any time of the year, the uncommon pieces and appearances require Winter Veil to wear them.

On This Christmas Achievement 冬天来了 You need to do 4 thinks:

1 Find 红色冬帽 or 绿色冬帽. I drop this item from 大魔导师泰蕾丝塔 2nd boss in 魔枢 on Heroic mode.
2 Craft or buy 绿色冬衣 or 红色冬衣 ( they need to be green color , white will not work ). To craft need Tailoring recipe you can buy from 霍勒 in SW 62 70.
3 Craft or buy 寒冬长靴 ( they need to be green color , white will not work ). To craft you need Leatherworking recipe you can buy from 霍勒 in SW 62 70.
4 格拉库的肉松蛋糕 that can be find inside 被窃的礼物 or 失窃的礼物. You can by Cake from 霍勒 in SW 62 70.

First put on clothes then eat cake :)
