To get 古旧的宝箱钥匙 and open 古旧的宝箱 you need to find 行窃的岩石鼠 5 times
After you click on mouse it runs away, and you have to find in in new location.

A part of me thinks this is a reference to the mice in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - mice that steal keys that can ultimately be used to open chests.

Thanks for the directions; it all happens in a small area, so recommend the simple macro /tar Thieving Rock Mouse - I bind my /tar to the z key so it's easy to tap, then just change and save the name of what I'm looking for at the time. Works a treat.

If you start this, find a few mice, and then leave the area before finishing, you can absolutely come back and find the mice again. I am not sure if their order changes (I believe you just pick up where you left off), however, you will need to find all 5 mice in one shot to obtain the Old Trunk Key.

Don't go crazy. If you've check all the spots listed by the top comment and the chest is still 'purple' in color, just go and open it. For me, I almost went crazy, when I finally chose to give up. I just went to the 'purple' chest and opened it.

Don't bother chasing the mouse when it runs off--it will jsut disappear. Just tyoe /tar thi to find it again. Do this a few times until it lets you loot the key.

After you find the mouse each time, he runs away. Just chase him as he runs away and when he disappears, usually his new position is VERY close. A simple /tar Thieving worked. No need for any coordinates. Only exception is the final location which is on the upper platform where the bridge takes you. Took me about 3 minutes to complete.
