Blizzard seems to be finally bringing tanking gear into play, with BoA items.

Latest additions are:
Weapon:
浸血的斩骨剑 As the heirloom version of 铁骨剑 (sword main hand)

Cloak:
破洞的沙漠风暴披风 As the heirloom version of 沙漠风暴披风

Armor:

Note about the ring: not sure if this is really going to be a tanking gear, as the Vanilla Dark Iron ring is an agility item, but there is also 沉重的黑铁戒指 which is actually a tanking item, but with the Heavy prefix, which is most probably the case.

Are these BoAs also gotten through the guild reward system? Or are they going to be obtained through Justice/Valor points?

Also, I'm assuming that even though the Chest and Shoulders are new, that they stop 'leveling' at 80 to stay in line with the other BoA items. Is this correct?

Currently on the PTR these legs go up to 85. But currently they are not part of any reward system.

shouldnt the Burnished Legplates of Might come with the honor system as they only sell for 1 copper similar to other honor bought items ?

This is one of the new Heirloom Items introduced in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Patch 4.1.0. The whereabouts of Heirloom Rings is currently Unknown but most likely will be made available through random profession dailies luck. I feel safe enough saying this since our last Heirloom ring was available from Fishing.

My apologies for some inaccurate information previously. This comment was made during the Cataclysm Beta and I just never got around to updating it. Prices have been fixed and it now looks sexier then ever.

Patch 4.1 Heirloom Update
All Heirloom items have had their bindings changed to bind to a single Battle.Net account instead of a World of Warcraft account. This change will let you transfer your items across factions, realms and even the other active World of Warcraft accounts on your Battle.Net Account.

Blizzard has also implemented Tanking Heirlooms with Patch 4.1. Please see above for.

Judging by the stats on these, they seem to be another "up to 85" type of heirloom. Likely going to be added in 4.3ish I'd guess around the same time they added chests in wrath.

Although it's not like this game really needs any faster leveling methods >.>

Yeah, if you want the leggings to become SOULBOUND.

Derp.

Items which would normally cause an item to become soulbound have no effect on BoA heirlooms.

I've added shoulder enchants such as 强力骑士铭文 and not lost the ability to send those items to my low-level characters.

However, enchants that would otherwise cause an item to become soulbound usually have a level requirement. The enchant will not become active until the character wearing the item reaches the appropriate level. In the case of the enchantment I linked, it will only become active when a character reaches level 70. The text for the enchantment will appear in red text, and a line will appear stating that the enchantment requires level XX. (Where XX is replaced with the appropriate 2-digit number).

I believe Account-bound status is on an equivalent level to soulbound status as far as the game code is concerned. It seems once an item is bound (whether to an account or to a character or that character's soul), it cannot then be bound again to anything else.

Edit: I'm not sure why this is down-voted. You're more than welcome to test this for yourself if you don't believe me, but please test it instead of down-voting just because you assumed that BoA items could be turned into soulbound items.

BOA Gear:
I have talked to a GM and found out the following from them...

Can not be transferred to ther Servers even though it is Binds to Battle.net Account
You can transfer it between the opposing, as long as it is the same Server
If you have multiple WOW accounts you can transfer them to another one of you Characters as long as it is the same Server

I wish since it was BOA you could move you BOA gear to another Server, the only was to do so is to have it on your Character and transfer them ($25.00 US) to the Server that you desire to have them on.

***The where abouts and how to obtain this is currently UNKNOWN

I have seen a player wearing a heirloom ring and when i asked him where he got it he told me Kalu'ak Fishing Derby as a reward and gives +5% exp earned and i think it is called Dread Pirate Ring

Are the stats shown on Wowhead accurate? Let's compare my Death Knight's Engraved Saronite Legplates to the level 58 version of this item:

In patch 5.4 enhancing heirlooms was changed so that you can put high level enhancements on heirlooms and they will scale (down, but not up) with character level.

It does seem like you can apply enhancements that make an item soulbound (冰鳞腿甲片) and armor kits that require level (中型护甲片), but not armor kits that require item level.

For tanking I'm assuming the stam/agi enhancements are better than attack power and crit, but I've also included the attack power enhancements in the list.

Here is a list of enhancements you can try on your legs:
轻型护甲片 / 中型护甲片
裂蹄腿甲片 / 眼镜蛇皮腿甲片
虚空裂蹄腿甲片 / 虚空毒蛇腿甲片 are somewhat expensive.
冰虫腿甲片 / 蛛魔腿甲片

I do not see this mentioned anywhere on several legs I checked, but to buy the heirloom legs you must also be honored+ with your guild.
At ~500 short I could not see them. I quickly did a few quests, hit honored, went back, and was able to buy them.
