This item is part of a series of Mythic Difficulty Heirlooms meant to go to from Level 90 to Level 100. Normal/Heroic will be linked to the side for comparison, LFR is excluded.

Since this is already so powerful, how will it scale as you level from 90-100? If the item level continues to increase this seems like it could be viable entry-level raid gear at 100.

This item is inferior to a 2/2 upgraded Heroic Warforged weapon, specifically the Greatsword of Pride's Fall.

Thus, its main use will be leveling during the next expansion, I'd imagine. The current progression of leveling weapons is quest greens (item level 437) --> quest/rare drop blues (item level 450) --> heroic blues (item level 463) --> LFR epics (item level 476) --> raid epics (item level 489+). It's logical to assume that this weapon (the heroic version) will end up as being equivalent to a heroic blue at level 100, while the normal version will end up as being equivalent to a quest rare blue.

Edit: It turns out that the above is wrong. All heirlooms are equal at level 100, being ilevel 620. Heroic dungeon gear is ilevel 630.

Been 5 weeks worth of Garrosh kills... Going on week 6, hoping I'll be lucky enough to loot one of these heirlooms.. Good luck to anyone trying to get it aswell!

I know this might sound stupid, but if i clear Garrosh hellscream on my Death knight, and get this weapon, and then do the same on my warrior, will it have a chance to drop again? :)

At level 100, the Garrosh Heirlooms converge at iLevel 633 (atm in beta)

So based off the sliding scale on wow head all of the BoAs will end up at 633 item level with Mythic (currently heroic) weapons going up on average 6 levels, Heroic (current normal) 7 levels, and Normal (current flex) 8 levels up at a time. There are a few levels that the increase is smaller or larger to balance out and end at 633.

I don't know if anybody's noticed yet, but come 6.0 this weapon (and all the other heirlooms, presumably) are going to get a downgrade at level 90, they'll effectively be losing the extra 8 ilvl's they gained when Blizzard allowed us to upgrade our SoO gear to 4/4, which means that Mythic examples like this one will go from ilvl 582 back to ilvl 574, at least until you start to level from 90 to 100, at which point of course they'll slowly scale up with you to a cap of ilvl 633 at lvl 100.

At what level do the gem slots activate?. im level 20 on a Kul Tiran DK and have non level requirement gems in it.. and they are grey'd out.. (yet i have gem slot bonus?.. lol)
Did they just deactivate the gem slots?
