Introduction
One of the major additions in the World of Warcraft expansion Legion are the
Class Order Halls
which act as base of operations against the Legion for your class. Each of the twelve classes has their own unique zone to develop your class
Artifact Weapon
and progress on the
Order Hall Campaign
. Some of the Class Halls are already known to the World of Warcraft players like Acherus for Death Knights, but there are also several new areas to discover.
The Hall of Shadows (Rogue Class Order Hall)
One of many features of Class Halls are the
Class Hall Missions
where you send your
Champions
to face different encounters and gain experience. You can aid your Champions by pairing them up with
Troops
; expendable units which are recruited at your Class Hall. While your Champions gain
levels
, they become more efficient in missions and allows them to raise their
item level
and wear
equipment
. Some of your Champions don't fear to the get their hands dirty; they can follow you to discover the Broken Isles as
Combat Allies
. Class Hall Missions also benefit the player by rewarding some usable items and also a handful of missions are needed to complete the Order Hall Campaign.
Class Halls have lots of features, but the guide will focus on the Class Hall Missions and everything which is needed to keep them running. It would be very laborious to go through all twelve Class Halls and their quest chains in the guide and frankly, a bit pointless too, because all the Class Halls Campaigns follow a certain "big picture" despite naturally having very different quests. This guide will give you the basic idea how to get Class Hall Missions up and running and leaves the rest for you to experience. The idea is also to keep this guide as spoiler-free as possible.
Unlocking the Missions
Scouting Map in the Rogue Class Hall
Before you are given the access to all features of your Class Hall, you are required to do few things first. Upon entering to Dalaran, you directed to the Class Hall and are assigned to find your first
artifact weapon
. Obtaining the artifact weapon is rather short process and afterwards yourself find using the
Scouting Map
. From the map you need to decide the first zone of the Broken Isles where you'll be starting the leveling process towards the level 110.
The next part of unlocking the Class Hall Missions begins when
you have reached level 101
. You need to go back to Dalaran to get approached by one of your Class Hall minions who offers a quest to return to your Class Hall. This short chain will unlock few
champions
at your disposal, the first
troop
and the
Order Hall Advancements
; the Order Hall Advancement are like a tech tree to your Class Hall where you research new traits which can aid you mission-wise or in other ways. At this point you can start
sending your Champions and Troops to missions
from the
Scouting Map
in your Class Hall. The map is also where you can view and manage your Champions and Troops, but for now there isn't that much to do than to level up your few Champions.
Note that the Scouting Map becomes temporarily available outside the Class Halls as well later on in the expansion when the player is sent to fight back the demon invasion in the
Broken Isles
. Whenever the
Command Center
is up and running in the zone quest hub Deliverance Point, players can access the Scouting Map within the building. Scouting Map can also be found in the lower floor of the
Vindicaar
, hovering over the Argus zones.
In order
to continue your Order Hall Campaign, you need to reach level 103
so it's time to resume questing. Afterwards, you are again to return to your Class Hall for another questline. This chain will
unlock the second Troop
for recruitment and
two more Champions
which basically means you have now unlocked everything functionality-wise which is needed for Class Hall missions. This chain also unlocks
a color variation
for your artifact weapon as a part of the

Finishing up first part of the Campaign
The Order Hall Campaign doesn't naturally stop quite so fast; there is still plenty to do and the Class Hall missions are just part of it. Depending on your class, you might get some quests now but majority of the remaining campaign
requires level 110
.
From the remaining campaign you can expect to receive a decent amount of

and artifact power. Along the way you will also unlock the four remaining champions and upon acquiring the sixth champion you'll get the
item level 810 bracers from your
Class Order Hall set
, for example

. As a reward from completing the whole campaign, you'll receive the
item level 830 chest armor
from the same set, a title related to your class (
e.g. for rogues
) and an
item level 825 relic
. On top of those,
战火熔铸
gets completed as well, unlocking
another appearance
for your artifact weapon.
The toggled content below contains the
Class Campaign quest progress for Rogues
; starting from acquiring the artifact weapon (
for Subtlety
) and ending to obtaining the last Champion which is essentially the same as completing the Order Hall Campaign. The quests won't be the same on other classes, but some parts of the them will definitely be the same regardless of the class. It's needless to say
there will be spoilers
to some extent! Do also mind that while Legion is in still in the beta, the quests and their rewards are bound to change.

Second part of the campaign
You are sent to the
Broken Shore
to tackle the increasing demon invasion and help with them back along with
Armies of the Legionfall
. Khadgar gives the initial quest,

which leads you to the Legion's home turf. After a short
solo scenario
, most of the
Broken Shore content
opens up to the player. The base of operations for Alliance and Horde players will be the sanctuary
Deliverance Point
.
From this point on, the Broken Shore campaign will continue with total of 11 new segments which are part of the Broken Shore achievement

. Among the first few segments, the player is rewarded with
a new champion and their champion cap is increased to six
.

also unlocks two new tiers of
Order Hall Advancements
to the player's disposal and along the way some new world quests open up as well. When the campaign is completed, a final questline for the Class Hall campaign will open up which will reward the
class mount
. Obtaining the class mount opens up some additional rewards like toys and pets which vary between the classes.

Argus Mission Campaign
Please note this section might contain some errors as things have shuffled around since PTR, so updates can be expected.
Patch 7.3 added
Argus
and countless demons for players to tackle with. While there's a main questline,
Class Hall missions aren't required to complete it
. Instead, there's an
optional mission-related "campaign"
available of which progress is tied to the main questline. This mission questline unlocks
three Argus-themed troops
to player's disposal to help beat the
new missions with various rewards
. These missions in question are unlocked from the questline as well. At the end of the campaign, player is rewarded with an

The Argus mission questline doesn't start right away after landing to Argus as players need to complete first few questlines in
克罗库恩
before the first part of questline starts. One can roughly divide the questline into three sections as they follow roughly the same pattern: they all provide a new troop and armor set and at the end of each part a new set of reward missions are unlocked. Naturally, player is required to do several Class Hall missions along the way, so it's worthwhile mentioning that
you can find a Scouting Map on the lower floor of the Vindicaar
instead of having to run back to your Class hall to start the missions.
1) Krokul Ridgestalkers and Krokuun missions
After unlocking the
Krokuun
and
Antoran
world quests from the quest

, a new quest appears in the eastern

. Head out to meet with

who provides you with few short quests. When done,

3) Lightforged Bulwarks and Lightforged missions

Order Hall Resources
Recruiting troops and keeping missions running in your Class Hall isn't cheap and nothing comes free! In Legion, pretty much every mission-related action consumes the new currency,

, so it's good have an abundant supply of them around. There are several ways to gain OR and most of them are listed below, but do note that

Class Hall Campaign
At the start of your Class Hall Campaign you are made sure to have the needed resources so that you won't find yourself unable to progress in the quests. While this isn't very consistent supply in a long run, you are occasionally rewarded some OR in the later parts of the campaign.
Treasures
Broken Isles zone treasures aren't either very sustained way to get OR, but they do pile up and are a very good source in the beginning of the expansion. There are several chests hidden around the Legion zones each yielding some

amount depends on the chest type
) so keep your eyes open! After reaching
Honored
reputation with a zone faction, you'll be able to buy a treasure map which shows the nearby treasures in the minimap as for that zone. The map can be purchased from the faction's quartermaster like

Rare Encounters
Around the Broken Isles you can come across some special events which are denoted as in the minimap. Most of these encounters require you to kill rare monsters which have a chance drop some Order Resources (
not guaranteed though
). It's always a good idea to tackle the encounter because there's usually some other reward waiting for you. Note that some of the monsters aren't meant to be soloable and might require assistance from the other players.
Bonus objectives
During your adventures you might come across to these one-time objectives in the quest areas. On several occasions these objectives reward a good amount of

along with player experience, so they are definitely worth doing for. Most of the time you can get the objective done while doing the quest(s) you came for.
World Quests
The motherload. World quests offer the biggest and the most sustained way to get OR. After reaching
level 110
and completing

you are presented a bunch of quests around to Broken Isles zones which can virtually be anything from picking herbs to killing monsters. Their rewards also vary greatly, but one of them can be
several hundreds of

, depending of the quest's difficulty. These quests have limited availability and usually new quest pops when the previous expires so you might want to prioritize quests rewarding OR if you find yourself lacking the resources.
Emissary Caches
Once per day, you are presented a "quest" in your World Map to
complete four world quests
for certain faction or in certain zone. Doing the needed world quests and then turning in the quest will yield you an item like

which can contain a hefty amount of Order Resources as well. However, the cache can contain other items too and thus you aren't guaranteed to get OR.
Combat Allies
You can assign certain
champions
to be your
combat ally
around the Broken Isles. While you have a Combat Ally active, you can acquire Order Resources when you
complete World Quests
if your Champion is using certain equipment or you have researched certain Order Hall Advancement. You can read more from the Order Hall Advancements from the next subsection and the champion equipment is covered in a
later section

Shortly after doing the

. Order Hall Advancements can be thought as a talent tree for your Class Hall where you research one advancement from each tier while progressing down the tiers. Researching requires some

and after researching an advancement from a tier, it is possible to change to the other advancement in the same tier. Doing so will cost some Order Resources and time; 0

upgrades the lesser troops

Champions
During your Class Hall campaign you will come across certain NPCs who will pledge their loyalty to you and help you repel the Legion by joining your ranks as
Champions
(
the game also refers them as
followers
). While a good majority of these champions are notable characters from the Warcraft lore, there are several new acquaintances left to discover. It's also rather self-explanatory that the champions are tied to your class thus
each class has their own set of champions
which are only available to them. Every champion is acquired from the Class Hall campaign.
The main purpose of champions is to send them on various
Class Hall missions
which yield experience to level up the champions, various champion related items and occasionally some rewards for the player as well. Certain amount of missions are also needed to complete during the Class Hall campaign. Secondly, it's possible to assign certains champion as
Combat Allies
to aid you in different ways in the Broken Isle zones. Combat ally can appear as a guardian or it can be an ability which is either a proc or usable on demand.
Each class has access to
nine or ten class-spesific champions
and few mutual champions, but initially only
five champions can be active
at any given time. This active
champion cap can be raised
by one by completing the
later part
of the Class Hall campaign. The
Tier 7 Order Hall Advancement
will also raise the cap by one and thus the highest amount of active champions you can have is seven.
Rest of the champions have to be deactivated in order to start new missions or assign a combat ally. You can activate one champion each day for . The (de)activation can be done by visiting the Scouting Map in your Class Hall. Generally the status of your champions can be checked either from the Scouting Map or from the
Class Hall Report
pane accessible from the icon in the minimap.
Leveling and Quality
Champion's starting level is defined at what point of the Class Hall campaign the champion is obtained, but their starting quality will always be Common (
with few exceptions
). This basically means that the newly-acquired champions are either level 100, 103, 109 or 110. Regardless of their initial level champions gain experience (
mainly from missions
) up to level 110 which is the level cap for champions too. At this point champions keep on accumulating experience to raise their quality, up to Titled. Better champion quality unlocks the following:
Uncommon - Second champion ability
Rare - First equipment slot
Epic - Second equipment slot
Titled - Third equipment slot

Item Levels
As said, level 110 is the maximum level for champions, but their progress doesn't quite stop there. At level 110 champion
item level
is displayed and set to 760 and you can start raising it; higher item level is needed in order to beat the more difficult missions. The
maximum item level currently is 950
.
Instead of experience, boosting the champion's item level requires the use of the
champion armaments
up to item level of 900:

For the latter, there are basically two types of Order Hall Advancements which yield the champion armaments. When researched, Druids, Monks and Shamans have a chance to receive the aforementioned items from
successful
Class Hall missions while the rest of the classes unlock an NPC to their Class Hall which allows them to place work orders for armaments. Each work order takes
12 hours
to complete and it costs 0

. You can queue up to four work orders simultaneously.
Note that after maxing out every champion item level-wise (
including deactivated ones
), you'll gain a lot less armaments from missions. Work orders will also entirely stop yielding armaments and contain only champion equipment.
Low-level Champions
Whether it be level-wise or item level-wise, bringing a lowbie champion to a mission can benefit sometimes when you can actually get the success chance to past 100% as they still contribute to the
success chance
and counter mission
threats
. They won't however receive the full experience from the mission; the bigger the difference to the mission level, the less XP the champion receives.
If the difference becomes too great, it will render the champion utterly useless
: they won't contribute anything to the success chance, counter threats or receive any experience - not even the mission's base experience. This will happen if the champion's
level is 5 or more levels lower
than the missions level or if the champion's
item level is 30 or more item levels lower
than the required item level. icon will be displayed if you are about to send some lowbie champion to the current mission. To sum everything up:

Abilities
Each champion will start with a talent specialization appropriate to your class and with an ability typical to the class. There isn't any random factor involved and
champions will always have the same pre-determined specializations and abilities
. Champions will unlock their second ability when they reach Uncommon
quality

appearing in the Class Hall Missions.
A later section
will deal them profoundly, but each mission will have a

Equipment
As your champions reach level 110 and get upgraded to higher quality, they will eventually unlock
equipment slots
which can be used for champion items. The first equipment slot unlocks when a champion reaches Rare quality and similarly, the second slot opens up upon reaching Epic quality and finally third slot at Titled quality. Because reaching these qualities requires a hefty amount of experience it is very likely that you come across some champion equipment during your adventures in the Legion content before your champions can actually even wear them.

When you have a champion available with free equipment slot, you can equip an item simply by right-clicking the item in your bags and then clicking on the champions 3D model in the interface. Equipment is replaced with the same method, but you'll naturally lose the previous equipment. Do note that
you can't add equipment to champions who aren't available
, in other words to champions who currently are on a mission or assigned as a
combat ally
. You are also
prohibited to add the same piece of equipment twice
to the same champion.

Combat Allies
Certain champions have the ability to aid you in the Legion zones as a
Combat Ally
. Their help can be invaluable and can sometimes turn the tide of the combat so they definitely are something to consider for during your questing. Keep in the mind though that
combat allies only work in the outside zones of the Broken Isles
. That means they won't follow you into instances, battlegrounds, most scenarios and naturally to the other continents of the world.
The benefits which combat allies offer basically take three different forms:
A proc based ability
These abilities have a chance to occur when certain criteria is met. In this case it means either you attacking something or taking damage from the enemies, for example

. There's always a hidden timer how often the combat ally ability can trigger.
An usable ability with cooldown
This kind of combat ally ability brings a new spell at your disposal which can be anything from damage and crowd control (
北地寒风
) to a powerful heal (

). The cooldown of these abilities vary from two minutes to five minutes and you can expect the damage dealing ones to have a reduced effect against the harder enemies like world raid bosses. When a combat ally with this kind of an ability is active, the ability will appear in your screen and it can be dragged to the action bars or used directly from the special button:
An NPC which helps in combat
The last combat ally form is the most tangible one as you actually the get champion itself fighting to your side as a
bodyguard
. Usually bodyguards participate in the combat by attacking targets, casting spells and using some certain abilities typical to their class, for example,

. Bodyguard's stats scale based on the player's gear. They also create aggro and it is possible for them to die, but they will shortly ress - even during the combat.
Combat allies vary between the classes, but each class will always have
five or six champions who can be assigned as a combat ally
. Also, each class has at least one Bodyguard-type combat ally and specifically, one of them will have a

ability. This ability combines a proc based ability type of combat ally (1) with a helping NPC type of combat ally (3). By using the ability, the player can toggle between the two aforementioned combat ally behaviors - whichever suits the current situation. You can see what combat ally abilities each class has from
the next subsection
.
Assigning a Combat Ally
A combat ally can be
assigned from the Scouting Map
in the Class Hall. The combat ally section can be seen in the Missions tab and clicking the button with a plus sign allows to choose which applicable champion to pick. It costs 0

to finalize the process, but removing a combat ally is free. There is no cooldown how often one can assign a combat ally.
When a champion is assigned as a combat ally,
they won't be available for Class Hall missions
and their regular NPC in the Class Hall is absent. This also means you can't use any equipment to a champion assigned as a combat ally. However, don't be afraid to use Combat allies only because if you think these champions will drop off the wagon experience-wise; if a champion is assigned as a combat ally that
champion will gain 1 000 XP from each (world) quest you complete
in a zone where the combat ally is active and even the shortest breadcrumb quests will yield this experience. When a combat ally levels up, you are notified in the game chat.

Troops
Class Hall Missions introduce new kind of disposable units to missions,
troops
. As you might already have guessed from the name,
troops are an expendable asset
in your Class Hall, cannon-fodder if you will. This is because troops have a certain amount of
Vitality
and after losing it all, troops will permanently perish. This isn't as bad as it sounds since troops don't gain experience or item levels and they can't equip items. The sole purpose of troops is back up champions in the missions as you have only handful of them. This also means that
you can't send troops alone to missions
; they always have to be coupled with a champion.
Recruitment
Troops are recruited from certain NPCs in your Class Hall which come available rather early when you advance the Class Hall Campaign.
Recruiting basic troops takes 30 minutes
per recruited troop and it always costs some

, depending on the
troop type
(
which basically states the troop's effectiveness
). Generally, there are three different kind of troop types available to each class:
lesser troops
,
greater troops
,
powerful troops
(
powerful troops require certain
Tier 7 Order Hall Advancement
) and
Argus troops
(

Argus Mission Campaign
). Few classes (
Death Knight, Druid, Monk and Shaman
) have an option for a fourth troop type, a
special troop
. The recruitment time for these troops is 12 hours. After the recruitment time has passed, the process is finalized from an interactable object which appears near to the recruiter NPC.
While troops are a never-ending supply, there are
limits on how many each troop type you can have alive
at any given moment. By default,
the limit for lesser troops is three and greater troops two
. The powerful troop has a cap of two and the class-specific special troop is limited to one. All of the Argus troops are limited to two each. You can increase the troop limits for lesser and greater troops by one if you research the
Tier 3 Order Hall Advancement
which is available for all classes (
for example,

for Mages
). The default Class Hall information panel (
at top of the screen
) also displays your current troop caps and their usage:

Vitality
Each troop type has a certain amount of
Vitality
which is displayed as hearts in the user interface. Lesser troops have the vitality of two, greater troops vitality of three and both powerful troops and Argus troops vitality of two. Special troops have only one vitality.
Each completed mission (
the outcome doesn't matter
) will reduce troop's vitality by one
so essentially vitality tells how many times the troop can be send out on missions before the troop withers and is removed from your army. There are some ways to negate this vitality loss like
破碎灵魂
(
Demon Hunter
) or
痛苦压制
(
Priest
), but they aren't guaranteed to work on every mission and all classes don't have the access to these kind of abilities.
Lastly, be vary of the mission threats marked as
Lethal
. If this threat isn't countered, the troops in the mission
will lose ALL their vitality
even if they had more than one left.

Abilities and Troop Upgrades
So you can recruit troops and you send them to their horrible deaths but what troops exactly contribute to missions? Simply put,
troops increase the mission success chance
with whatever abilities they have and possibly also via certain troop affinity bonuses like

, but with few exceptions
troops never actually counter threats
.
Because troops don't have levels or item levels, they can't be under- or overleveled mission-wise and thus (
unlike with Champions
)
the success chance increase is always static
with troop abilities.
Lesser troops always increase the mission success chance by 15%
while the
greater troops add 30%
to the success chance.
Powerful troops also add 30% to the success chance
, but additionally they have the ability to
counter one of the non-boss threats

Like greater and powerful troops,
special troops add 30%
to the success chance, but they also can have
either a random specialization
from your class
(Druid and Monk

). Keeping these in mind, it's possible to get the success chance to 100% or very close even if your Champion doesn't have the proper threat counters.
Argus troops
are very similar with each other as their focus is on countering
阿古斯精英
which appears in most
Argus missions
. In fact, they differ from each other only by their secondary ability which
adds success change by 75% when one of the non-boss/non-Argus Elite threats is present
. This means that in worst case scenario, Argus troops won't raise success chance at all!
It is possible to increase the troop effectiveness further by
upgrading either your lesser or greater troop
with the
Tier 4 Order Hall Advancement
. The choice however, is mutually exclusive and you can only upgrade either lesser or greater troops, never both. So Demon Hunters have to decide whether they upgrade their
灰舌战士
with
纳迦忠仆
or
伊利达雷精锐
with
恶魔之力
. As an exception,
Monks
have access to both troop type upgrades via their Tier 2 Order Hall Advancement

and in that case, the Tier 4 choice defines which of the troop types has a chance to be upgraded even further.
The tier 4 upgrade doesn't affect to the troop cost, maximum amount or their vitality; it basically affects the troop's appearance and abilities (
generally
) either by upgrading the existing ability (
lesser troops
) or adding a new ability (
greater troops
). It's comes down to the player's choice which upgrade they deem better. The upgrade applies to newly recruited troops and the existing troops won't be upgraded. The
special, powerful or Argus troops can't be upgraded at all
.

Missions
Shortly after getting your
artifact weapon
, the Class Hall quests will lead you to the
Scouting Map
where you start the Class Hall missions, manage your
champions
and
troops
and assign
combat allies
. The Scouting Map window has two main tabs:
Missions
and
Followers
. A third tab (
Scouting Map
) also exists, but it has very little to do with missions and the tab will eventually be removed.
Missions
tab is where you can view all the available Class Hall missions, start them and view the currently ongoing missions. Each listed mission has the name and duration in the middle while the mission level and item level requirements are displayed on the left side and the mission reward on the right side. New missions pop every now and then and each one will be available for few days unless noted otherwise. Lastly, a combat ally can be assigned from the bottom of this window.
Followers
tab lists your active champions and troops and their details like their abilities and experience. Champion
armaments
and
equipment
can be used in this window. Deactivated champions or champions you haven't acquired yet are also viewable in this tab.
Champion (de)activation
is done by right-clicking a champion and selecting the corresponding action from the menu. You are only allowed to activate one champion per day and it costs to do so.
A stripped-down version of the Scouting Map can accessed from the special button in the minimap. The
Class Hall Report
pane displays the similar information than the map, but you can't start new missions, assign combat allies or (de)activate champions from it.
Basics
To
start a Class Hall mission
you first select a mission you want to begin and then you are shown the mission details and opponents. One of these details is the
mission cost

which can't be obtained by doing the Class Hall missions, but it can be obtained
in various other ways
.
Each mission has certain amount of enemies present and each of them has a threat that needs to be countered if you want to successfully complete the mission. Some
threats
affect to the mission's success chance while other threats can alter the mission cost or duration. The mission
success chance
is denoted as a percent over the treasure chest and if it is 100% or more, the mission is guaranteed to be a success and the mission reward is received upon completion. Further, if the success chance is over 100%, there's a chance to get the
bonus loot
which is denoted next to the "Bonus Roll" -text. Finally, if the success chance is below 100%, there's a chance the mission will fail and you won't receive either the mission reward or bonus loot, but your champions will always (
unless they are too
low-level
) still get that
base experience
which is displayed under the mission name.
Mission Example
Next you drag the
champion
(s) and
troops
to the slots so that you hopefully counter all the threats and the success chance is as high as possible. Starting a Class Hall mission requires that the party has
at least one champion
. It can have more, but it's also possible to leave the other slots empty and send the champion alone to the mission. However, it isn't possible to send a single troop to a mission;
troops always require presence of a champion
.
When you are ready, start the mission and wait for it to complete. Most missions in the Legion run for several hours, so there's plenty of time to go questing or maybe even take that bathroom break you've been yearning for the past few hours. After the mission has ended, you need to come back to the Scouting Map to see the results. A short battle animation and the result is displayed for each mission and this process can be hastened by pressing the space bar.
Keep in mind that your
champions cannot die
or get wounded. Even if a mission fails, your champions won't lose anything, but they will still gain the base experience of the mission. The negative impacts of losing a mission are the loss of time,

Mission Threats Explained
Each Class Hall mission has
one to three threats
for your champions to overcome and on most cases you want to neutralize them all. First of these threats will always be a

or another Boss(es). To counter a boss, the champion needs to have a proper
specialization
while the non-boss threats are countered with certain champion abilities. Each class has the means to counter every boss or non-boss threat at least with two different champions.
It is actually rather irrelevant whether the threat is a boss or a non-boss threat because it is the
threat types what really defines the missions
. Each threat has a threat type and it is denoted by the small icon on the bottom right corner of the threat's portrait.
Bosses will always have
the same threat type,
Powerful
, but the threat type for the non-boss threats can be one of the
five different threat types

Success chance reduction
Bosses will always come as Powerful. Appears on non-boss threats only on the higher item level missions.
Slowing
Doubles the mission duration
Multiplicative. If two of these are on the same mission, the mission duration is effectively multiplied by four.

Doubles the mission cost
Multiplicative. If two of these are on the same mission, the mission cost is effectively multiplied by four.
Cursed
Disables the bonus loot
Caps the mission success chance to 100%. Doesn't appear on early missions.
Lethal
Kills all troops
Kills troops even with full vitality, no effect on champions. Doesn't appear on early missions.
You
don't necessarily have to counter every threat in a mission to maximize the success chance
- only the threats which are marked as
Powerful
and possibly
Cursed
too. Countering the Powerful(s) actually grant you probably the biggest portion of the needed success chance, so emphasize countering them over the other threats. All the other threat types hinder the mission in different ways, but leaving them uncountered won't reduce your chances of beating the mission.
Raid and Dungeon Missions
Occasionally rare missions will appear to the mission pool after your champions have reached certain item level. These missions are available much longer than the regular missions and they will reward an item like

starts a quest leading you either to a dungeon or a raid instance on spesific difficulty which is defined by the item level of the player
. Completing the quest rewards a cache containing an item matching with the difficulty of the dungeon. For instance, if the player's item level is 827, their dungeon quest will probably lead to a Mythic dungeon which rewards a cache like

which in turn will contain some item level 840 piece of epic gear.
These rare missions will begin to pop to the Scouting Map after getting your champion item level past certain threshold. The item level of the missions can be as high as 850 and they also come with an extra twist: a fixed success chance reduction.
Dungeon missions have their initial success chance reduced by 15% and for the
Raid missions the success chance reduction is 25%
. These penalties can only be countered by raising the success chance. On these missions the success chance is denoted on red color and without any bonuses the chance will be negative to begin with. Note that the color will remain red even if you reach 100%, but it doesn't have any other effect whatsoever.
Elite Strike Missions
Patch 7.2 introduced

Command Center
is one of the three buildings available offering several Class Hall mission-related perks such as access to the Scouting Map and a free piece of legendary
champion equipment
when a certain buff (
优秀的勇士
) is active. However, when Command Center is completed,
a set of three Elite Strike missions
will always become available.
Elite Strike missions differ a bit from the other missions. They always have the same rewards:

. Similar than raid and dungeons missions, Elite Strike missions have a fixed
success chance reduction of 100%
from Elite. Lastly, the missions don't have the option for
bonus loot
so there's no point of getting the success chance higher than the 100%. If you have problems completing these missions,
Anshlun's guide
will give you some insight how to beat them.
Note that if Command Center is still up after an Elite Strike mission has been completed, another mission with the same reward should pop up within hours. So if your champions are packed with enough mission time reduction, you can complete several Elite Strike missions of the same reward before the Command Center gets destroyed.
Bonus Loot
For each Class Hall mission there's a chance for some extra loot from a successful mission. If you manage to get the mission's success chance over 100%, the part which surpasses the 100% will be the chance for the
bonus roll
. So with a success chance of 147%, there's a 47% chance that you will get the bonus loot denoted next to the bonus roll chance. Your champions will also get slightly more experience the higher the bonus roll is. Naturally, the highest bonus roll can be 100% and therefore the cap for the mission success chance is 200%. You
won't receive
bonus loot if there are still uncountered
Cursed
threats in the mission because they cap the success chance to 100%.
The mission reward basically dictates what kind of reward will the bonus loot be. On several occasions, the bonus loot will be similar to the mission reward, but there are some deviants to this rule. Here's a short compilation what the bonus loot can be for most common rewards:

Mission Categories
Class Hall missions come from different categories which are denoted as distinct icons in the mission selection and in the mission details.
Mission category doesn't affect to the mission difficulty
, but it generally governs what kind of rewards you will be getting. As history tends to repeat itself, there will be exceptions and you can get similar rewards from the other mission categories as well.
Currently there are
four different mission categories
in-game:
Quest missions
Certain Class Hall missions are required in order to advance in the Class Hall campaign. Every mission that is required for a quest has this distinct exclamation mark icon to emphasize the mission is quest-related. Rewards from these missions are mostly small amounts of artifact power.
Generic missions
Generic missions are the most common mission category around and as their name suggests, they are there pretty much just to keep you busy. Champion experience, reputation tokens, gold and artifact power are the most common rewards from generic missions, but early on you might encounter player experience rewards as well.
Treasure missions
After your champions get to higher levels, treasure missions start to pop up. They usually reward champion armaments and equipment and

, but occasionally you get a mission which reward starts a dungeon or a raid quest yielding player items.
Special missions
Every now and then a special mission appears to your mission pool. There are only a handful of these missions around and they all reward either a pet or a toy.
Success Chance Calculation
It is easy to grasp the basic idea how the Class Hall mission success chance is calculated, but there are some features that aren't quite that obvious. This subsection tries to unravel the how the calculation is done behind the scenes and what makes it tick. Things might wander a bit to theorycrafting, but the most mind-boggling stuff is hidden behind a toggled content later on.
Abilities and items which add to the success chance (SC)
work cumulatively
. Meaning if ability A states to add 15% to SC and ability B adds 25%, the total success chance increase will be 15% + 25% = 40%. This alone simplifies matters a great deal as you don't have to worry about calculating the actual percentages. For the record, mission duration reductions however work multiplicatively; two champions with

WON'T reduce the mission time by 30%, but roughly by 27,8% (
1 - (1 - 0.15)^2 = 0.2775
).
There are only two factors which reduce the success chance:
1)
threats with a
Powerful
threat type and
2)
Dungeon/Raid missions; Powerful(s) essentially reduce the success chance by 100%.
If the threat type isn't Powerful, that threat doesn't have any effect to the success chance
. Countering all the Powerful threats in a mission will raise the success chance close to 100%, but you can't ever have 100% chance with one champion alone. The champion has to have some equipment or other ability/buff boosting the success chance in order to nudge it over 100%.
Each champion has a
base contribution
to the success chance even if they don't counter Powerful threats in that particular mission.
Countering the same Powerful threat with multiple champions increases the success chance, but only up to certain point. The cap for one Powerful threat is 90% when there's only one Powerful in that mission. If the mission has two Powerful threats, the cap is 47,5% for
each
threat. Champion's base contribution is excluded from these caps. All this means that if your first champion counters Powerful threat granting 60% to the success chance, adding a second champion with the same counter increases the success chance only by 90% - 60% = 30% (
plus by the champion's base contribution
).
Champion's base contribution and Powerful counter contributions are
modified by the champion's level or item level
. If the champion's (item) level is greater than required, it will raise the success chance contribution further. Similarly, if the (item) level is below the required, champion's contribution will diminish.
There exists a threshold after which the additional (item) levels won't contribute anymore to the success chance. The
upper limit for champion levels is +5 and +30 for item levels
. This means that if the champion is 6 levels above the mission level, it adds to success chance as much it would if the level difference was 5 levels or 8 levels.
Same goes with underleveling; champion's success chance contribution diminishes and after a certain point champion isn't worth anything.
For levels the lower limit is -5 and -30 for item levels
. Starting from those thresholds the champion's success chance contribution is 0%, they won't gain XP and their abilities won't counter threats.
Note that
non-Powerful threats are binary
; they are either countered or not. Despite the penalty to the success chance increase, the low-level champions will still counter these threats until they hit the lower limit.
To sum everything up, here's a table of values how much a
single champion
can add to the success chance
without any equipment or buffs

Basically everything above can be combined into mathematical formulas which can be found behind the toggler below. Please keep in mind though they aren't probably the EXACT formulas due to several unknown factors. They probably have some correct parts, but they might not always produce exactly the same numbers than the mission UI.
Success chance calculation formulas
Champion base contribution (C) with no (item) level difference:
C = 10 / N
where N is the number of Powerful threats in the mission.
Success chance cap for each countered Powerful threat (P):
P = ( 100N - 10 ) / N^2
Threat counter (T) success chance value with no (item) level difference:
T = 13/18 * P
which is 0, if the champion doesn't counter the threat.
So if none of the champions in the mission doesn't have (item) level difference to either way, the success chance formula (SC) is
SC = C1 + C2 + C3 + MIN( ( T1 + T2 + T3 ), P ) + B - M
where B is the sum of all other success chance bonuses, C1-C3 and T1-T3 are the base contributions and threat counter values for each champion and M is the success chance reduction from a dungeon/raid mission.
With these formulas can be calculated that the base contribution is 10%, Powerful threat counter is 65% and Powerful threat cap is 90% for missions with one Powerful threat. For a mission with two Powerful threats the numbers are 5%, 34,3% and 47,5% respectively.
Unfortunately, things are almost always more complicated because of the (item) level differences. Both base contribution and threat counters are modified by the (item) level difference. The Powerful threat cap remains unaltered by these differences so lets just assume it's in the background doing it's job to simplify the formulas a bit.
Success chance formula for a champion on or above the mission level:
SC_OVER_LVL = C + MIN( ( CLVL - MLVL ), 5 ) + ( T + MIN( ( CLVL - MLVL ), 5 ) * 3 )
where CLVL and MLVL are Champion Level and Mission Levels respectively.
Success chance formula for a champion below the mission level:
SC_UNDER_LVL = C + MAX( ( CLVL - MLVL ), -5 ) * 2 + ( T + MAX( ( CLVL - MLVL ), -5 ) * 13 )
Note that two Powerful threats in the same mission can occur only on higher item level missions, so the formulas above should be 100% accurate for mission levels 100 to 110. They also imply that the
maximum success chance for a single champion is 95%
(
15% from base contribution and 80% from threat counter
) for "leveling missions".
Item levels proved to be far more harder to figure out because it seems there are some shaky stuff going how the numbers are rounded. Apparently Garrison missions rounded the final success chance always down, but it's unsure what's the case with the Class Hall missions due to several discrepancies. It SEEMS normal rounding is used, but a verification would be nice. The following formulas create a close estimate from the success chance, but aren't probably exact.
Success chance formula for a champion on or above the mission item level:
SC_OVER_ILVL = C + MIN( ( ILVL - MILVL ), 30 ) * 0,17 + ( T + MIN( ( ILVL - MILVL ), 30 ) * 0,5 )
where ILVL and MILVL are Champion Item Level and Mission Item Levels respectively.
Success chance formula for a champion below the mission item level:
SC_UNDER_ILVL = C + MAX( ( ILVL - MILVL ), -30 ) * 0,34 + ( T + MAX( ( ILVL - MILVL ), -30 ) * 2,17 )
The problem with those formulas that they only give proper estimate when there's only one Powerful threat on the mission. Having two Powerful threats really seems to mess the success chance calculation. It roughly cuts every success chance contribution in half, but that still isn't enough to get the formulas to match. On top of that, it might a bug (or not), but it seems the success chance bonus from having a higher item level affects only to the champion which counters the Powerful threat with a specialization. I.e. if the Powerful threat is countered with an ability, that champion only receives the item level bonus to their base contribution. Item level penalty however applies normally.
I've kept track of various mission UI success chances in an Excel spreadsheet while swapping champions and raising item levels to determine base contributions and threat counter values. This and several hours of number crunching provided me the information I have written here. I know it's not perfect, but maybe someone smarter can pick up from here and finish the job. So if any reader out there has some idea how the success chance is REALLY calculated when item levels and multiple Powerful threats are brought into play, I'm all ears. :)

will appear which provide you a quest to do in a certain dungeon or raid instance with the given difficulty (

). Reward from these quests are a cache which contains an item suitable for the player's item level.
Lastly, each class has their own Class Order Hall item set (e.g.

) which pieces are unlocked in various ways to complete

. Obtaining
six champions will unlock the bracers
for purchase, even though they can be obtained from the Class Hall campaign too.

Every Class Hall mission related achievement can be found under the
Class Hall > Missions
category in the Achievements. To be honest, there aren't that many achievements around and you will complete almost all of them pretty much by just playing the Class Hall campaign, doing missions and recruiting troops. The achievements
don't have any special rewards

) starting and completing missions, managing champions and viewing world quests.

to their choice of mobile device. Note that the app uses the same login than the actual game, so you can only be logged in to either of them, never both.
The companion app is basically divided into five different sections which are denoted as buttons in the bottom of the screen. Each section contains different features from your Class Hall so lets review them all, starting from left to right:
Missions
The first section is basically the
Missions tab
from your Scouting Map. You can view the available and ongoing missions in it, start new missions and assign/remove a
combat ally
. Starting a new mission is rather straight-forward as you only need to tap the champions and troops you wish to use and after a mission is completed, the rewards can be found from your inventory. Using items like

is currently the only thing you can't do from the companion app.
Recruit
As the name states, your Class Hall
recruitment
affairs can be found from this section; you can train new
troops
and also collect the finished ones. Champion
armament
work orders can also be placed and collected here along as viewing the current progress of them. Lastly, you can pick up and use the researched Artifact Knowledges too via the Companion app.
World Map
Currently available
world quests
and active emissary quests can be viewed from this Broken Isles map
if
the player has completed

. You can also filter the displayed quests from the magnifying glass and tapping your character's name allows you to change the active character for the app. However, the map is
only for viewing
purposes and it's not possible to actually complete any world quests within the app.
Followers
This section covers essentially the
Followers tab
of the Scouting Map. It allows you to view your champions and troops and their
abilities
, raise champions'
item levels
, apply
equipment
to champions and finally (de)activate champions.
Research
The final section is basically a duplicate of your
Order Hall Advancements
tree with the same functionality. In order words, you can start/finish advancement researchs and view the progress of the current research.

About this guide
I hadn't given much thought on writing a guide for the Legion; mostly because I think I had understood the concept of Class Hall Missions and Champions all wrong despite watching the last year's Blizzcon stream. One could say I was kind of caught pants down by the Class Hall Missions after I got approached by Wowhead for another guide and when I realized they are some kind of a mix of Garrison and Shipyard Missions. At first, I was a bit sceptical can I pull it off - especially because I played like next to nothing in the Legion Alpha, but when the Beta began, my WoW tooth started aching and my soul was lost once more.
The writing process for this guide fluctuated a bit. At the beginning, I spent hours and hours browsing the Wowhead database gathering information on champions, troops, abilities etc. and collecting everything to a spreadsheet. After I thought I had everything I needed, I started the writing in the late June. I did most of the writing in bursts and took some time in between. I kind of wanted to finish the guide already on July, but "my creative breaks" pushed the release to August. My late start didn't help much either, but in the end I think it was for the best because the expansion content had already been mostly implemented and I didn't have to spend time on changing my text or guessing how things (
which weren't there yet
) worked. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy(ed) the guide, see you in the Broken Isles!
Any comments, suggestions or corrections are always welcome to keep this guide up to date. Especially because I have played the Legion leveling content only as Rogue and I haven't been able to verify every class related details regarding the champions and troops. Really good guide there are a few small typos however. The things i have found in bold:

Bleh... Out of 8 champions per class only 4 are combat ally's, out of those 4 only one or two are bodyguards...
Was hoping for Whitemane to be my bodyguard among other things.
Its the same thing in WoD, you have that quest line in talador to get the mage tower working and that mage Khadgar introduces you to follows you around, casts spells even Timewarp if you go attack that rare below his tower and they are not bodyguards even tho they were scripted as one.

Great guide Tritox! Lots of great stuff to pore through, I appreciate all the effort compiling it.
A few suggestions:
It's probably worthwhile listing all of the Class Hall advancement upgrades rather than just a select few - if only to demonstrate what you will be passing up in favour of a mission boost.
Another useful addition would be the character level requirements +/- the order resource cost to train and to switch each tier.

With Blizzard focusing on Class Fantasy in Legion I hope I will bond with my fellow druid in my Order Hall. I loved back in Vanilla and BC that spell descriptions were all RP like "draws the power of the wind to summon a gust that knock the enemy interrupting spellcast" and such.

At level 102 (Follower) and level 103 (Character) every "normal/story" quests are giving 30 Exp for completion to the follower.

The Druid tier 1 Order Hall advancement "Roots" actually only improves mission success by 10% on the first mission of the day, not 20%, if a Minions threat is present. Which seems doubly bogus. The guide still says 20% at this writing.

"Before you are given the access to all features of your Class Hall, you are required to do few things first. Upon entering to Dalaran, you directed to the Class Hall and are assigned to find your first artifact weapon. Obtaining the artifact weapon is rather short process and afterwards yourself find using the Scouting Map. From the map you need to decide the first zone of the Broken Isles where you'll be starting the leveling process towards the level 110.
The next part of unlocking the Class Hall Missions begins when you have accumulated 325 Artifact Power which can be acquired for example from quests, treasures and rare monsters. You need to go back to Dalaran to get approached by one of your Class Hall minions who offers a quest to return to your Class Hall."
I went to Dalaran, began and completed the Artifact weapon quest. I then went to the scouting map and selected Val'Sharah. I did some questing in Val, but mainly I ran around gathering treasure to quickly accumulate the 325 Artifact Power. I ended up gaining 360. I then went to Dalaran, waited for about 15 minutes while I ate my food in front of the screen. No one approached me. I am still level 100. There must be some other condition to unlocking Class Hall Missions. Any ideas? I'll edit if reaching level 101 unlocks the mission. Perhaps I just gathered too fast.
EDIT - I went and just did bonus objectives and kills, NO QUESTS, until I hit level 101. I hearthed to Dalaran and immediately a quest giver arrived. Someone else can test it, but it seems that you do need level 101 before the quest giver will appear.

I don't know where else to put this warning so I'm putting it here.
If by chance you get a lvl110 mission with a high ilvl requirement when none of your champions is 110 yet,
do not level the champions
. Just do the mission. An under-leveled champion still counters; a champion that is level 110 but severely under-ilvld will not. And you won't manage to get the champions up to an appropriate ilvl before the mission expires.

ILvl 893 - Lvl 110 - still ONLY 4 followers. No hall quests. Only got my fourth champion a couple of days ago. So far, all I can find to say how to get the champions is "doing the hall quests" but... my son is several levels behind me & has not cleared any of the areas (I'm almost all cleared) & he has 6 champions. He says just Bliz getting me back because of all the *!@#$in I've been doing about the various glitches. Anyone got any ideas?

In order to receive these missions your highest champion's item level has to be at least 800 for the dungeon quest missions and 820 for the raid quest missions.
This doesn't seem to be entirely accurate, either that or my main's mission board is being special. Got an ilvl 810 mission for Neltharion's Lair and my highest ilvl follower is 770 (they're all 110, maybe that's relevant?)...

I am fairly sure it is a bug, but the DK follower, High Inquisitor Whitemane, does not actually counter Minions. Consecration probably counters minions when Paladin followers have it, but as a DK, her Consecration ability just adds a bonus success %. It does NOT act as though it is Death and Decay, which counters minions.

I have a suggestion of something to add to your guide. It's something I noticed on my shaman and I would assume other classes might have something similar.
Under the section: Champions by Class > Shaman > Rehgar Earthfury
When I am accompanied by this champion, he provides me with a buff, where we (the follower and myself) move 100% faster while in ghost wolf form and out of combat.
I also noticed that while I have this buff, it stacks with my passive 30% increased movement that I am granted from ghost wolf normally (40% for resto shaman).
Therefore, while I have this champion accompanying me, I am moving at 130% increased movement speed in ghost wolf form (140% for resto) which is actually faster than mounted speed (100%). I tested this with one of my guildies sometime last week to confirm that it is faster.
I am not sure if all classes get a companion with similar abilities, but i think it is definitely worth mentioning (maybe in the notes sub-section of the specific follower). I know I would like to find out if there are any similar buffs from champions of other classes for my alts.
Edit: This is exactly what the buff that Rehgar Earthfury gives me says.

All class quests have started for me at level 101, no problem, except for my DK. I was in the class hall when I got to level 101, then immediately went back to Dal to pick up the quest. No quest giver was around, no matter where in Dal I went, so I went back to leveling, thinking it might have something to do with my GS. Got to 102, still nothing. Went on second artifact weapon quest. Still nothing.
I'm reluctant to ask Blizz for help on this one, as maybe I'm just overlooking something, but I just can't figure out what it could be at this point.

My current GS is 702.
I boosted her about 1 week ago.
Have finished my gathering skill questline.
Almost finished with Profession skill questline.
I read this whole thread and comments, and couldn't find any answers applying to my situation.

I wanted to choose the next hunter order hall advancement at Trueshot Lodge rather than leaving the game and opening up the mobile app (which I've been using the past few weeks), but couldn't remember the name or location of the NPC who handles that in-game, and couldn't find it listed in any of the guides.

When you have a quest that requires you to complete several follower missions sometimes it may not show the next one for you to select. For example, I completed the first required mission and there was no other avaliable. I tabbed out to check wowhead and 2 mins later it was there.

I am working on a specific OrderHall addon, because mission calculation is very different from the one which works for Garrismo Mission and trying to keep them together will break the one or the other

Seems like I only ever get the mission "Tip the Scales", with a small artifact point reward. I've only now started creating work orders for champion armaments. Dunno if follower ilvl is in play here? If you want better mapping for
LOCATIONS within each of the Class Order Halls
, I suggest you get the addon Atlas and the Atlas module for Class Order Halls. With these, you get the ability to click a button on your main Map Pane which takes you to improved maps with a huge selection of NPCs and UI items.

I notice that nothing was mentioned at all about Tier 5 upgrades to your class hall. It seems that the Tithe upgrade for Priests is particularly confusing to people. It not only grants 100 resources per Combat Ally world quest, but also unlocks the ability to place orders for Blessing of the Order for your Champions. You can see more on the post at the

A couple other corrections:
1. Addie no longer provides rep bonus (I believe this was hotfixed even before 7.1)
2. Meatball does not require the player to be Rank 4 (you can actually complete all missions and quests and get Meatball, with only ever doing 1 fight with Oso!)

Thanks for the guide, I do have a question for the devs (I hope they read these posts too. I think I read somewhere they do.) Is it a flaw in the system or working as intended when I have four champions, three at iLvL 830, and one at iLvL 825. Had bad luck I guess getting the equipment to upgrade as I have to rely on RNG for them to drop as a Shaman. Anyway, the available missions include two at iLvL 830, one a 4 hour and the equipment I have render the chance percentage 85%. The other iLVL 830 I can get 125% success chance but it's for a dungeon quest which I don't do so it's basically useless for me. Great, I'm sure of other players, just not my cup of tea. The remainder of the missions are iLvL 850 which, obviously not one of them can I get a success chance above 75% and mostly they run in the zero to 35% success chance.
What I'm wondering, as this guide indicated it does some good but not much, as I read it, to send a champion out on a mission when the iLvL is between 5 and 25 lower than the mission requirement. Why am I getting so many high iLvL missions when my champions aren't even close? I can maybe see one or two with twice as many available at my champions equipment level or slightly above. But, to have 5 missions at iLvL 850 and 2 at iLvL 830 when my champions are, not undergeared, I mean iLvL 825 and 830 isn't anything to sneeze at, but it's also not iLvL 850 ready. It's almost like just wait and see if the next set of missions are closer to their level so I can take a chance to get the gear to lvl them up. But with a success chance of 35%, there doesn't seem to be a reason to send them out, is there? Or will the RNG drop for the gear still roll even though they can't succeed in the mission? At which case, 300 order hall resources is a tad steep for one piece of gear that may or may not drop.
So, is this broken or working as intended? If it's working as intended I think the dev who designed it must be on some kind of kewl drug and should share with the rest of us.
If it's broken, can we get it fixed soon?
Hopefully a dev, especially the dev responsible for the development of this system, reads this. Nice if they responded too. :D

This is not all however as the Broken Shore campaign will still continue - for total of 11 weeks. When both campaigns are completed and the player is Exalted with the Armies of Legionfall, a final questline will open up which will reward the class mount.
So does this mean that if you do not complete it within the 11 weeks you will not be able to finish it or get your class mount? I would very much like to make sure that I will be able to finish this as I will be unable to play for a few weeks but don't want to miss out.

Somehow searching google for success chance calculations never turned up this guide, so I did my own research. Here's what I found to be true, and you can double check your formulas against my findings:
Champion Base Value:
10% + 5/6% for every 5 iLvls above the mission requirement, capping at 5% (30 iLvls).
Boss Value:
65% + 2.5% for every 5 iLvls above the mission requirement (determined by counter Champion), capping at 15% (30 iLvls).
Boss/Powerful Value Limit:
(100 * # of Boss/Powerful Threats - 10) / (# of Boss/Powerful Threats ^ 2).
Multiple Threat Divisor:
Champion and Boss/Powerful values (and limits) are divided by (1 * # of Powerful Threats - 0.1). Equipment, Troops, Hall Upgrades and Abilities unaffected.
Cursed/Disorienting/Lethal/Slowing Value:
0%
iLvl Penalty:
Champion and Boss/Powerful and values (but not limits) are reduced by 16 2/3% for every 5 iLvls below the mission requirement. Counters, Abilities, and Equipment stop functioning when the difference is 30 iLvls or more.
I have not looked into differences created by levels, only by item levels. At a glance your results seem almost identical to mine, just expressed as formulas rather than values.

For those who might have read an earlier version of this guide, or perhaps have outdated information, or have been playing the game since launch and are used to only having only five champions and are expecting one additional slot, what that means is you can now have

For 7.2 and with the ilvl limit of the champions increased to 900,
DO NOT LEVEL THEM TO 900 ONE BY ONE
. Level them all together, with only 5-10 ilvl difference between each. The class hall missions will follow the ilvl of the higher one, and screw your plans if you have like 1-2 900 ilvl and the rest at 850-ish. Since even old missions, like the ones giving gold will start increasing in ilvl requirements too.

I noticed one piece of legendary champion equipment missing from the list- Cloak of Concealment. it's the only one I've gotten so far, but I have 3 spread between two toons. It increases mission success by 15%, and gives and additional 15% increase for missions with spells.

How to set up champions and make game gold with Legion class hall missions
You will have in total, six champions to send out on missions. (order advancement tier 7 choice taken)
To cover all mission types (the program will see if you are lacking on 1 type and will create a heap of missions where you are lacking a mission type reducing the overall missions you can participate in) so is optimum to cover each type twice.
You have 8 champions, you need to choose which six (6) are best suited. Now for the fun bit..
There are 3 champion specialization types
There are 3 champion ability types (the first ability as the 2nd ability is a random ability that should best suit your set up)
To best cover all missions you need 2 champions to have each specialization covered. That will result in the 3 types of specializations being covered twice.
Then you also need to shuffle them so all 3 abilies are covered twice also.
Keep in mind that you will/should have your followers (champions) twinked out with trinkets in their respective equipment slots.
A premium set up should include;
1 Vial of timeless breath (40% increase chance for missions longer than 8 hours)
1 Auspicious fetish (flat 15% increase)
1 "trinket" that best compliments the type of troop you chose (this should be the type that costs 85 etc... not 20 resources)
* replace these with legendary types as you gain them via the command centre bonus on Broken Shore with those that also give a bonus to both flat success chance of 15% as well as random like 15% missions with spell etc
Also keep in mind, you DON"T need to have 3 champions/troops per mission. As long as you are happy with the success chance on a mission, feel comfortable to send missions with ONE (1) champion only.
100% success chance means just that, you will achieve success on that mission and recieve the stated reward. If you also want the bonus reward (which should ALWAYS be sought for game gold reward missions as the bonus pays 1500 game gold in adition to stated reward) then you should aim for 200% success chance. This will be easy to achieve in most cases by using 2 champions and 1 troop.
You should now be able to have 4 missions going at a time.
Prioritize game gold reward missions at all times whilst always aiming for 200% success chance.
Next important type of Class hall mission are those that reward champion equipment that are an upgrade. (these should also have 200% success chance if possible to give you rewards to increase broken isles faction rep).
Missions that reward artifact power are the last type you will then prioritize. Anything over 100% success chance on these are acceptable. Dont aim for 200% as 105% seems to reward the bonus often enough, especially if you are able to send out two (2) 100% missions as opposed to one (1) at 200%.
You should be able to send out minimum 2 missions per day per character(alt) rewarding game gold. At 200% success chance, that means 3,000 bonus gold as well as the stated gold reward (usually around 600-900 gold per mission) that means minimum game gold generated by class missions per day is 4200 game gold.
If you play ALOT all day like me, you will have days you can send 4 or 5 of these missions rewarding 2,100 game gold per mission.
If like me, you have 15 chars, that's minimum 30k game gold per day all from your class order hall missions and all from you basically doing nothing, (once you have it set up as outlined above) other than ensuring you have enough order resources to fund your missions. These order resources are best gained by completing the 4 world quests when offered per zone.
*Check what missions are available often, via the shortcut on your minimap.
Also, ensure you have a champion as a combat ally with trinkets slotted that reward order resources and game gold. That way each of the world quests you complete gives you buko resources. Before long you will have in excess of 100k order resources ensuring table missions can run non stop.

It goes heavy on the idea of the items - i.e. Skull of a Fallen Foe for Warriors (+20% when accompanied by Shieldmaiden Warbands or Valkyra Shieldmaidens). I have 12 level 110s, all their followers are ilevel 925-950. All the missions I get now are for argus equipment, and the bonus chests likewise.
So my questions are:
a) I assume this means the +20% for T2 troops items can now not drop from missions - haven't seen one for ages, and therefore the only way to get these items would be to choose the armor class hall perks or some world content stuff; and
b) Is this advice about +20% with T2 troops outmoded now? i have piles of +40% and +50% for mission duration, spells, minions, hazards as well as flat chance increase of 30%, 25%, 15%. In your view are some of this now the best, and which ones do you use to max 200% missions?

Thank you for all your hard work compiling this guide! There's one thing I can't seem to find an answer for: What determines when the next mission in a series will appear? For instance, I'm currently working on Where in the World is Mathias?, which is the last of the rogue campaign and am waiting for the last mission to show up on the list. Any idea what triggers a mission to show up? <3

How can you force dungeon quests these days? Above it mentions they are available on the Scouting Map, but I've never seen any in 6 months of solid play. Is there a way we can force the class missions to include, by perhaps not completing certain missions/quests..?

How do you get the Combat Ally to accompany you? I can see people running around with theirs in tow but all I have is the (rather under-powered) special combat ability button.

I understand that two or more equipment items for mission time reduction work multiplicatively, but what about combining a single one of these items, say
Archaic Seerstone
, with a champion's ability like
Flying Carpet
? Any chance that would work additively?
