You get this achievement by killing a player while wearing "Blooming Rose" Contender's Costume or similar costume.

Completed by killing 1 other person where both is using one of following:
参赛者的“盛放玫瑰”装, 参赛者的“紫色幽灵”装, 参赛者的“雪色猫头鹰”装, 参赛者的“圣徒骄阳”装, 参赛者的“暗夜恶魔”装

Using the item grants you an extra button with abilities that you can use on another player using one of the 5 items. The ability your button will cast is randomized with each use:
直拳 - the weakest ability dealing 10% max hp.
大力横扫 - the medium ability dealing 20% max hp in a 4-yard cone.
跳跃攻击 - the strongest ability dealing 30% max hp, jumps 7 yards forward, and dealing damage on impact.

The items can be aquired from 查普曼 for 100g.
Check the different maps on his page, to find his exact location (he can be found in more than one graveyard).

Note 1: Places which are sanctuary like Dalaran, making it impossible to damage people. And therefore you cannot complete the requirement there.
Note 2: To avoid ress time, you can do it inside an instance. I did it in Siege of Ogrimar. And we got a kill every 5-10 seconds. When I died I lost the extra ability, so we had 1 person completing the achievement followed by the other.

You do not actually have to be in a duel with someone to complete this achievement, you can just whack the people around you.

This achievement have to be done outside off any city, you need to defeat someone without the usage of /duel and kill them.

(Remember both need to have the costume on)

inside cities the costume does no damage to the opponent.

get friends/guild and do it together. Every time you kill your opponent they have to wait the normal resurrection time. So if you want to do the 50 achievement in one row , calculate 2 hours....

Several things to keep in mind if you want to earn this achievement:
- You just need to buy the costume during Day of the Dead, the achievements can be earned all year round.
- If you die you keep the costume buff, but you cannot use the costume attacks until you use the costume again.
- You can just chain kill one of your friends with the costume for the achievement. It doesn't matter if you kill someone with ressurrection sickness, you will still get credit.
- If multiple people are hitting a player, only the player who gets the killing blow receives credit.
- Level is irrelevant for this achievement, as all attacks deal percentage based damage. This means that you can kill a level one character and receive credit. However, level 1 characters have a lot of passive health regen, so they are impossible to kill. Consequently, if you want to do this achievement without dying a lot, you should do it on a level 1 character.

Costumes should have a longer cooldown so people don't switch in and out of them!
And shapeshifting shouldn't be allowed to make it more fair!
Right now druids and other self healing classes have an unfair advantage!
Also it would be better if it was a duel instead of just random people to avoid kill steals!

To complete this achievement and its descendants (风光大葬！ & 甜蜜的头盖骨), both of you MUST wear one of the contenders outfits:

These are all sold by 查普曼 in Dalaran for 100g each. All of these costumes have a 1 minute cooldown, and a 10 minutes duration and does NOT vanish if you die.

Once you wear the outfit, you will get a new button, which can be one of 3 abilities:

直拳 - A melee range ability
大力横扫 - A close range (4 yards) ability
跳跃攻击 - A leap ability

Only these abilities can take health from the target, both MUST (as noted in the start), wear this outfit in order for any of these abilities to cause damage to the target. Despite the achievement says 'defeat', it does not apply to duels.

I have not yet tried to do it in a battleground, so for now I take it as you must get the actual killing blow to earn credit towards this achievement.

Having a friend to help you and act as a dummy for some 10 minutes and quickly ressurrect with sickness is an easy way to quickly earn this achievement.

Tip of the year:

This achievement is actually easy once I figured out how to trade efficiently :)

Gather a friend or two, and enter a new raid instance, like Siege of Orgrimmar. When you die and release, you will spawn immediately and without a corpse run. That means: No ress timer, no ghost run.

Stand at the point of ressurection and let your friend kill you. If you are more than 2 people, you can get double/triple etc killing blows instead. Just spam the Release button and you will spawn at the very same point again, making it easy for the person who's gathering, since you can start "loading" a jump or sweep directly after they die.

With 3 persons in the party, this will be done in a couple of minutes without a problem. It's better to let one person complete the achievement first, so you don't havce to wait for the item's cooldown to finish.

When you're about to die, use this macro to get out of combat and heal yourself.

/cancelaura Santo's Sun

Standing at graveyard with a friend who spirit ress the hole time is also a quick way to turn these achievements.

When someone hits you with Jump Attack or Strong Sweep you get stunned and it's annoying, but since the stuns are buffs you can just right click to remove them instantly. And with a little macro you don't even have to click to remove them.

/cancelaura strong sweep
/cancelaura jump attack

And to click the button to use the attacks you can use this macro.

The best way to do it is to take as many friends as possible and go inside Siege of Orgrimmar raid, right in front of the instance "door".
The reason to go to SoO is because when your friends die, then they click the resurrection button and they ress immediately without waiting for some timer or anything.

Have your friends use the special item and stack, then you just have to kill them using the special attacks that you are given to the special extra button.

I took 2 of my friends and i was killing them over and over again and i got all 50 kills in less than 10 mins.

If you have an anti-death ability like Purgatory, Cheat Death, or Cauterize, spec out of it before doing this. They don't count.

Protip: these kills net Halaa battle tokens. Get a raid group together, get naked, and punch each other silly in the graveyard. I racked up all 170 tokens in half an hour.

I see references to 50 kills, did it change to one? It looks like you get this achievement for 1 kill.

If you want to be basically invincible, be a level 1. Their health regeneration is insane and everything is scaled down.

If, like me, you have your choice of "victims" to help you get this achievement, there are a few things to note. Obviously, your victim/friend should be naked. (I've a feeling typing that sentence will put me on some government watch list) If your victim is a druid, choosing 伊瑟拉之赐 will make this take a *very* long time. I'm not sure it's even possible. Warlocks are great though! With 爆燃冲刺 they really go down quickly. Not 生命分流 since you are silenced while wearing the costume.

Also handy to keybind the /click ExtraActionButton1 macro if you haven't already.

There is a horrible bug right now. Due to the low level mechanics, any toon under level 10 (might be lower? I think it is 10) has a buffed heal rate while out of combat. The most powerful attack takes 30% (flat rate, like fall damage). So at level 2, toon hits like a truck (jumping still takes 30% of a 90s health!), but heals faster than even the jump can damage. It takes roughly 3-4 people to kill a level 2 for this achievement - with luck and well timed attacks. But the level 2 has no problem taking out a level 90... Making level 2's (as far as I've tested) nearly invincible for this event.

If you loose your special ability to punch etc. after dying, just put the costume off and back on again (by clicking it in your inventory)

Seems to be bugged in 6.2. (Posted November 1st, 20 minutes after event started)

After donning the Contender's Costumes, you cannot be killed by another Contender. You'll be reduced to 1 hp, but never die.

Expect an incoming hotfix.

Edit: As noted in the comments to this one, duelling now works!

Had a lot of trouble getting it to trigger inside an instance, or rather we didn't manage at all.
We ended up going outside and engaged in a duel with both wearing the costume. Winning the duel seemed to trigger the achievement.

So in short:
- Find friend and both equip costume
- Duel friend with the abilities
- Win duel

Notes: (may or may not be relevant)
We were in a xrealm raid group and on the bridge (gy) of Hellfire Citadel.

Dueling seems to be the only option to make this work now (2015). Being in raid or just any PvE area makes it impossible to "kill" the other person and get credit.
However, you don't kill your opponent anymore (becasue you are in duel stance), so you can do the achievement everywhere you want.

But of course there is another downside, there is now a shared cooldown of 1 minute by all the costumes, and your opponent will loose the costume. So after every "kill" you have to wait until cd is ready and your opponent can wear the costume again.

Best solution is to get a group together, kill people one by one, so by the time you done the others, cooldown on first should be ready again.

Achievement does NOT NEED EVENT to be up to get credits.

edit : Apparently holy priests do die on each defeat, so make sure not to do this in holy spec

Put on your costume. Duel a friend outside the main city. That's all you have to do.

You'll need to re-costume for each duel, before the duel.

Does not work inside a city or inside a dungeon/raid zone.

Easiest way to do this is via dueling.

1. Grab a friend, guildie or stranger that has a contender costume.
2. Meet up anywhere you can duel.
3. Both put on costume
4. Start the duel
5. Have one person stand there and the other do all the punching.

For the two achieves after this one... 风光大葬！ and 甜蜜的头盖骨

6. Once the duel is won start a new duel immediate
7. The person who lost the duel should start punching the person who won (this prevents health regen)
8. Once the cooldown for the costume is up the loser should stop punching
9. Once out of combat don the costume and let the other person start attacking you again.
10. Rinse and repeat.

The second achieve (风光大葬！) requires 20 wins and the third (甜蜜的头盖骨) requires 50 so make sure you put aside some time to do this if you want all three achieves.

Edit: Special Note if a warlock is involved and they have life tap have them use it right before putting on their costume for you to start punching them.

You can create a group of 5-6 people and go to the Gurubashi Arena. Once you are there, disband the group and wear your costume. This will be done in a couple of minutes without a problem. It's better to let one person complete the achievement first, so you don't have to wait for the item's cooldown to finish.
It's important to disband the group because it won't let you 'kill' your friend.

If you are bugged like I was (can get people down to 1hp, but never get credit for the 'kill,' though you still count as a kill for everyone else), you might HAVE to ./dual someone outside of a sanctuary area. I know it says you don't ./dual people above for credit, but doing this was suggested by a GM and it actually unbugged me. I was able to 'kill' a person in the dual, and after that the achievement count worked as normal.

make second trial game account and same battle net account and kill each other as many times you want, i had to start duel with the lowbie and kill him, to get unbugged

No longer need to duel - did the trial account trick and just kept "killing" the lowbie.
Just need make sure both toons have the outfit on to count.
Takes a bit of time as once "killed" there's a countdown until can reapply the outfit but just rinse and repeat for all 3 achieves

Use the toy you get from the vendor at the graveyard and you gain an extra ability icon. You can damage other people who also use the toy. Defeat 50 opponents to get the final achievement. You can win-trade with a friend. The abilities can crit.
The leap is very strong, you can waste abilities to cycle to it.

Rogues and druids can stealth while in costume apparently.

Oddly enough as a warlock, used noggenfogger to make myself small, summoned a soulwell in the zerg and hid in the soulwell and sniped people seemed to work the best to get progress on the acheivement. Then when people realized i was in the soulwell they started to jump there but I wasn't and then jumped on them.

Even if you do this with another player, who will willingly let you beat them up, this achievement is really tedius, and sometimes it won't work in 3 wins.

Something to look for though:
-Flare means one of you won. It will make piff! sound
-It seems that it has a higher chance for either of you to win, if both engage in combat
-Sometimes it felt like exiting the costume and healing up worked, but probably not need to be 100% full hp
-If the counter was stuck, I just went out of the costume, healed up and tried again after half a minute or so
-Even though the opponent is at 1 HP, do one more hit for the killing blow!

Doing 1-20 took probably almost 30 minutes.

Edit: Actually. This is pretty fun, if you're inviting more people. We were able to get 2 wins in a row, by hitting eachother, in a group of 3. Use LFG tool and get minimum 3 people! Also feels less buggy when you're more than 2.

Edit 2: Eventually made a raid, and people had really much fun! Go for it. The more the merrier!
