TREASURE MAPS INFO:
Prequest: Loot 巨龙群岛补给袋 from 原始始祖幼龙 and complete item quest 寻宝资助人
It never dropped for me during lvling, but always dropped from 1-st NPC when i got there at max lv
So you buy 考古学家神器笔记 from 编目员杰克斯 and find the first treasure 金色巨龙高脚杯 - it is intro treasure, and you get 1-st map for free
Search and loot all the random treasure chests you can find

探险队斥候的背包 renown 2 with 龙鳞探险队
翻动过的泥土 renown 5 with 龙鳞探险队 and will need to buy 小型探险锹 (buy/craft alot, you will always want to have them in your bags)
魔缚宝箱 renown 16 with 龙鳞探险队
You can get 6 maps before Renown lvl 21 with 龙鳞探险队 and 5 more after.
2 maps are from intro quests and 9 are from random treasure chests drop
Hard part is to loot the map from random treasure chest and the rest is easy.
1 map drops every 50-100 chests
Use the map and it will highlight the location of the treasure
Treasure icon will be visible when you enter the subzone (Waking Shores, Azure Span , so on)
Loot the treasure and get the reward

You get 1-st cluster inside the treasure
And you probably want it to be on you main or alt with Jewelcrafting profession
Because you can use all clusters only 1) to craft Jewelcrafting pet 2) to buy a transmog

To get 灭熊指令 and related treasure you have to earn renown level 21 with 龙鳞探险队.
Quest 珠光红玉龙崽的传闻 appears. As soon as you finish it gem cluster maps can be randomly found in , 探险队斥候的背包, 魔缚宝箱.

Not sure why these maps have to be this extremely rare. this is just insane.
I've done all the treasure hunter achies so far, and none of them were such a bad experience... I have to say that Treasure hunter of the dragon isles is WAY too hard to complete. Those things have fewer drops chance than mounts. I've been opening every disturbed dirt and bag since the launch of the game and only found 2 maps so far... This is not a fun experience at all.

Finding treasures should not be a mindless grind till you die, finding treasures should be fun and interacting, solving puzzles. and riddles, exploring secret places not clicking on a pile of dirt, and hoping you win the lottery. Funny enough there is one treasure that is what treasure hunter achievement should be like, and that's the Posessive Hornswog chest in the Waking shores... weirdly enough that's not even needed for the achie while that's one of the few things that a treasure achie should look like. But no, blizzard wants you to click on a pile of crap in the middle of a field a million times. wow, what a "treasure"...

If you agree with me on this one, please send feedback to the devs in the game... lets's hope they won't make such trash again.

For those of you still looking for Sandy Wooden Duck, the map you need is on the ground beside Yennu (54.91 75.47). Once you've collected the map from the ground, you should be able to find the treasure elsewhere in the zone. Titan Panel says my location is Thaldraszus: The Flowing Forest. I hope this helps others that have been working on this achievement.

As of patch 10.2.6 the maps seem to be incredibly common. I'm not joking when I say I have received more maps in the last 5 minutes than I have since launch. Maybe it's bugged maybe it's intended but I would farm these out asap before Blizzard gets wise. I'm pasting this comment into each of the Treasures of X for the main zones as they all appear to be changed.

In The Waking Shores zone, the Magic-Bound chests are sometimes replaced with either a "Icy Lock" or "Molten Lock". These can be opened by various spells of your class or by using the "Mechanism Bypass" spell you get from "Expedition Supply Kit" at the Dragon Scale Expedition.

I have opened 2 of these so far, each containing a map which is needed for this achievement. Making this achievement alot easier than opening 1000 Disturped Dirtpiles...

Edit: The "Icy Lock" or "Molten Lock" seems to be found all over the Dragon Isles and not just in The Waking Shores. Just looted a 3rd Molten Lock and this one contained a map as well. So 3 out of 3 so far.

A piece of information that i think everyone with a hard time getting the maps should know...

I thought my character was bugged because I had already opened more than 200 探险队斥候的背包 and got no maps.
Already had my 寻宝资助人 done on the char and no map on my bag.

So i decided to buy a 小型探险锹 and go for 翻动过的泥土... 2 hours later i had all the maps and the achievement for all 4 maps was done.

I hope the information was helpful.
