Yeah...I bought this for 15g on the AH and resold it for 90 the same night =D I don't understand why someone would want such a midlevel epic, but maybe it's good for a 39 twink? Whatever the reason, I'm satisfied!

Sold for 40g because i couldn't be assed selling it, doesn't seem to be a popular shield. Spent the money on a Widowmaker... Far more useful for a rogue

I was soloing ZF tonite and on my 5th or so mob this thing drops. Its crazy! Soloing ZF is not only really easy but im gonna have enough gold to get a flying mount, its insane...btw, how much should it be sold for in the AH?

Several seen in Garona Auction House (Horde Side) and one dropped for my lvl40 lock today from a Lvl40 Jungle Stalker raptor near the arena in STV.

This shield is often on sold at the Ah on my server
I bought mine for around 60-70 GP

for a level 40 Paladin this was a huge investment.
I further paid to get it equipped with a Thorium shield spike and respec to Protection which i think I will keep to the mid 50 levels.

This is now amazing for grinding i can take on 8-10 level 35-37 at a time and 5-6 40+ levels at a time

If you are "just" using it for armor i am not sure it worth the money, but I have rebuilt my specs all around the shield and it is working very well for me with an armor class of 4.5-5k.

For a time limited player I can still level almost every night and I almost never wipe in instances because of my increased survivability
I would recommed also equipping yourself with a fast weapon because being limited to 1 H weapons your DPS weapon ouput will go down (compare to a 2H).

I got 4x small radiant shard ;)) (waste of money, i know)

But at least now i know, and i share this info with you ;)

The shield from SM, Aegis of the Scarlet Commanderis much much better. Green Tower is purple, so what? If someone wanna be purple with 1300 on it's shield it's ok 4 me, but the real tank would rather grab a green shield with 1500+ health with great stamina & str.

i'd say that aegis of the scarlet commander is better, this one got 5 more sta and 200 less armor and a pretty nice proc, but since aegis of the scarlet commander is easy (maybe boring) to get, and for free, and it got (in my eyes) better stats and a bit better armor i'd take AotSC anytime before this

Just got this baby for 5g buyout...strange world,i know it isnt the best shield but cmon,it is much more worth then 5g lol.Well i am only lvl 27 atm,but i am looking forward to use it with lvl 36.

The shield is lame. Just go to SM, get a better shield that's free, and lasts. They just kinda screwed up with shields. The one in SFK has like 600-700 armor, and then one that drops in Gnomer has like 800-900 armor, and then this thing with 1300 armor, and in just a few levels one with 1500-1600 armor? That isn't epic? o.O

This shield just doesn't seem worth it. You buy an expensive shield to tank so you'll level fast because you'll be doing instances, and it's easily replaced.

Maybe if the Aegis didn't have as much armor, but it does and will stay like that I guess.

This just dropped off High Inquisitor Fairbanks in Scarlet Monastery. Group was a 39 rogue, 40 hunter, 39 mage, 36 paladin, and 37 warrior. The 37 warrior got it. Needless to say, he was a bit excited. Though I personally agree with the earlier comment that the Aegis is at least as good, if not better. Only a couple levels higher.

I was doing the "Split Bone Necklaces" quest. My level was 38, the mobs I had to kill were between 40-43.

I got some help from:
A) Level 46 Tauren Hunter
B) Level 43 Undead Mage

When a level 40 Skullsplitter troll dropped this. I was easily needing it. Yay, I got it, and showed it off for days later to all my guildmates and local people. I love the proc on this thing too.

Found this shield in AH for 50g, and it was a big upgrade from vile protector. Anyway, if you actually tank properly the proc DOES happen, and it's a life-saver against shamans. Additionally, it's got 7 more block% than the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander, and 5 more stam. Honestly, it's more of a personal preference, but I think this shield is the better one.

This is an inexpensive shield which is epic b/c of it's high armor at level and it's unique proc, The Green Tower. The proc rate is extremely low while soloing but might be more active while AOE tanking. Given that the buff effect is similar to Thorns (Rank 1), it is unlikely to stack with any rank of Thorns or other such damage shields, but it does stack with Retribution Aura. This is a tankier upgrade than any other shields at level, but if you're going for reflect, consider the higher and more reliable damage from Thermaplugg's Central Core which carries the same effect as the level 60 PVP shield.
