This is an interesting step in blizzard making more of a "feel" difference between fury and arms. Where fury is supposed to be mindless, angry and very deadly; arms is supposed to be well reserved, trained and precise like a good soldier. The other ability added for fury, Raging Blow, adds a great feel to the fury warrior's nature.

Arms, meanwhile, will have access to both Deadly Calm and Battle Trance (again, as of this build), making entering an enrage less important (the change to Wrecking Crew makes only Mortal Strike critical hits enrage you, most likely due to the high crit strike chance of Improved Overpower) than directing and conserving the flow of rage where it's most important. Arms won't just play differently than fury because of its many procs, which has hampered fury's design in this expansion, since if you put in a proc-based ability like the original Impending Victory, it seems like an arms ability. It will play differently because arms will be more about making sure to conserve your rage until just the right moment than the other trees.

Could be used in conjunction with some other abilities to give Arms an extremely strong opener in PvP.

Pop Deadly Calm, Charge, Colossus Smash, Mortal Strike (Hopefully critting). This should leave you with enough rage for a Throwdown/Piercing Howl-Bladestorm Combo.

im just glad im not the only one who thinks this would be a great way for arms warriors to open up on a target since they would generate rage while using attacks. if anything DID survive you'd likely be raged capped and enraged and they be bleeding....which doesnt look good when you throw Inner Rage in after all that and hit an execute or overpower for the targets max hp. oh this will be fun.

Cannot be used during Inner Rage.

Can be used BEFORE Inner Rage.
do not works Inner Rage -> Deadly Calm
works Deadly Calm -> Inner Rage test by myself.
May be a bug and will be fixed. But now it's useable!

what i wanna know is if this effects the extra rage consumption of execute in any matter does it allow the use of spamming execute or is there a hidden catch where it is free but you don't get the added benifit that you would if you spent the extra rage or what... someone please find this out for me

If you're an orc, this can bring and exceptional amount of burst with Bloodfury PVP wise.

Or if you're a human and you get a proc off your 残忍角斗士的胜利徽记, it can provide even more burst, it's just it's not on-demand, unlike the orc racial.

And faster attacks doesn't hurt as a troll

Warriors seriously need to see a therapist...

Not only does their concept of Anger Management get them angrier, but Deadly Calm is a perfect lesson to teach the kids - bottle all your anger up, and let it explode. You do more damage that way.
