The flyer NPC's will go down fast so its best to dps them first. Also assign a warlock or druid to pull out a warrior to keep them feared or rooted just incase you need a little extra time to regen some mana.
What my guild does is dps's the Flyers first then the warriors then the major. We assign a druid every other group to hold a warrior rooted in place so we can get our healers mana up to the 75%-80% mark. This is very important to do just before Rajaxx comes so you can go in at near full mana and health. Make sure your druid has a mob that does not have one of the friendly CC guys on it. Also don't wait to long to kill the rooted mob or the next wave will come before you killed him, we usually wand the rooted mob.

If you're Friendly or better with Cenarion Circle, Andorov will give you an aura that restores +200 HP/sec. Often that's enough to keep everyone up, so try to grind to Friendly quickly, and *keep heals on Andorov.* He'll tank Rajaxx for you just fine, as well as healing everyone. Amplify Magic on the raid will up the HP from the aura to 350, which generally outweighs the additional magic damage you'll take.

Rajaxx has an area knockback, so it's very helpful for healers to stand with their backs against a wall. Healing Andorov is the most important thing in this fight, and he needs to be healed up after those knockbacks, so anything to minimize the time he's not getting healed is very important.

After all the changes, at current these are the facts.
If you die, you CAN sneak back in right between waves.
If you're friendly+ you get the general's command aura.
He always has 5 mana and health pots.
Other than wave 3, amp magic does wonders with his command aura.
I suggest having one healer who's sole job is to watch the General. Warrior reserve taunts for when the general is at low health (on Rajaxx himself).

This is a rediculous(sry for spelling) boss fight as boss #2 for a 20-man.
Sockbaby's tips for PWNING the ahn'quiraji Military
1.DONT TALK TO THE NPCS UNTIL EVERYONE IS READY---I cannot stress this enough! too many good raids die because of no man
2.ADHERE TO THE HIERACRY OF SMACKDOWNAGE kill flyers, then named mobs, then finally kill warrios
3.KEEP THE NPC'S ALIVE! they do more dps than any of you can, but they have no armor(one of them doesnt even have a shirt)
4.IF YOU ARE FRIENDLY WITH CC, KEEP CLOSE TO THE LEUTENANT(sry 4 spells) he gives u a 10% haste and 200/3 HP buff!
5.KEEP THE NC'S ALIVE!...again....it's important
6.LET THE NPC's TANK RAJAXX. dont worry, they're big boys...just keep em alive and raj will die a painful death!
GL(you''ll need it)
the fight is like this----8 waves of about 8 or so elites, fear bomb them when u can! after 8 waves of grueling, bug-stomping action, RAJ with try to WTFPWN you....he has an AOE thuderstomp with knockback and takes 50% off of you, but it;s no biggie, the leiutenant's arua will keep u up
HAVE FUN!

General Rajaxx is the 2nd boss in the instance, and is mandatory to fight before you can get to any other bosses besides Kurinaxx. The Rajaxx encounter consists of many waves consisting of 1 miniboss, and vary amounts of flying and cleaving elites, and warrior like elites. DPS the miniboss down first, then kill the flying mobs, followed by the warriors. Use hunter traps, roots, and fears to keep the mobs you're not fighting away - these are the only forms of crowd control that work. Also keep the NPCs that are involved in the fight alive, they help a lot. When the general himself comes, let the head NPC tank him, focus heals on him. If you are above neutral with the Cenarion Circle he has an aura that heals you. Since Rajaxx does AoE damage, this is very nice. If you are not above neutral, make ample use of bandages.

With a long even like this, it's easy for casters to run out of mana. One way to deal with this is to isolate one of the warriors in a wave and wand him down. This will give the casters a chance for their mana to regen enough for the next wave.

Here is a list of several things to know about the General Rajaxx fight which will make killing him vastly easier:
1. There are 8 waves, the 8th being Rajaxx himself, each wave comes with an officer. Once the officer is dead, it is possible for people who have died to zone in.
2. Each officer in the 8 waves has a special ability, the most dangerous being Captain Tuubid (2nd wave) who chooses one person and all mobs go directly to the player to kill; Captain Drenn (3rd wave) aoe lightning attack; Colonel Zerran (7th wave) increases in size vastly increasing his damage and the damage of the other mobs - is purge-able. When Drenn dies place Amplify Magic on the entire raid.
3. To deal with Rajaxx's aoe knockback, have the raid, excluding the warriors, stand in the corner to the left of the large arch from which the mobs emerge. From this position healers and casters won't receive the 40 yard knockback and will always be in range to heal the general and the warriors.
4. Taunt off Lieuntenant General Andorov when his health is anywhere between 60 and 70%, warriors should keep their backs against the wall, once again eliminating the huge knockback.
5. When the waves enter the doorway either aoe fear (warrior, priest, warlock) or have a mage frost nova (bear in mind they have proximity aggro when frozen so they WILL attack whatever is closest to them).
6. Every healer should have a /target Lieutenant General Andorov macro in case the main healer needs assistance.
7. Pull a warrior from each wave toward the narrow area between Kurinnaxx and the doorway to Rajaxx, take that warrior to 15% and regen mana. When the next wave starts to come take it down and get back in place.
8. There are 3 minutes between each wave (with the exception of Rajaxx himself which seems to be until you kill the last mob of the 7th wave). The npcs will call the next wave if they are inactive for too long, so continually pull mobs to them.
9. Have the raid against the rocks facing the doorway, but not on the rocks to avoid evade bugging. Warriors should stand behind the npcs to intercept anything that gets past them. Warlocks can place their imps in the middle of the 'fighting area' so no matter where group members end up they have Blood Pact.
10. Warlocks need to remember fears are leashed, if a mob goes into the area with the other npcs, do not chase him, he can only be feared a certain distance from the warlock. By chasing, the warlock allows the mob to go in further which can aggro the next wave.
11. Designate healing assignments, minimizing overhealing is essential to survival. When Rajaxx comes it is all heals on the Lieutenant General and the other warriors when possible, everyone else must bandage or use potions/tubers.
12. There is a known bug with no wave coming, regen health and mana, get the dead up because 2 waves will come at once. If this happens, the fears are the most important thing to do. Have the officers tanked against the wall (where eventually the raid will stand on Rajaxx) and the other warriors pick up as many Needlers as possible, leaving the warriors. As the needlers die, the warriors can pick up any loose mobs, but grabbing all of them at once will lead to a lot of dead plate

Four manned him today with 2 ret (both 4/5 brutal) 1 warrior who was fury (also with 4/5 brutal) and a disc priest in a mix of S2/S3.
I tanked as ret and we downed him easily our first attempt dispite not having any idea of what to do. The little gauntlet thing at the beginning was a blast, though we were unprepared for the last two waves to come at once. That said, we still managed to kill him. Was a lot of fun.

I wish they had the protection-pally improvements pre-BC... all of that AoE CC would have been extremely nice and orderly. Pre-BC, the trick to this fight was CC out the butt and to run back when you died... if you didn't die you were a lucky person. If you died less than three, it was a successful kill. Keep Andorov, the Lieutenant, alive if you want some phat major healing/mana potions along with epic-crafting BS recipes!

Solo`d as an 80 Feral Druid in Heroic/Naxx/Emblem gear.
His knock back takes away 50% of your HP, so be sure to barkskin + pop out and heal if needed. Make sure you save frenzy regen for when he enrages because you don`t really want to be in caster form with that. I had one of the NPC`s aggro him after a knockback once as well, so I instantly healed myself to full and started again.

Also solo'able at 78 protpally, 500 Defense, 20K HP.
Just remember to spam Holy Shield, Seal of Wisdom, and Judgement of Light, heal up one holy light when you can, don't be afraid to pop bubble or lay on hands in a pinch.
He hits for about 300-500 a swing until enraged, then 500-700, but it's his AoE stomp that hurts >_<
Hope that helps some?

People are saying his area knockback effect does 50% damage, but I was getting at least 75%. Can anyone confirm this? He first knocked me back and my health was almost gone when I looked, so I bubbled and healed to full. When he knocked me back again, I watched my health drop very far. Each time after that kept knocking it lower and lower, till I was barely staying alive with seal of light. I couldn't stop attacking to heal because my hp was way too low, and I finally died after about 45 seconds.

From a level 74-80 4-man group perspective:
Excellent fight, we've never been to AQ-20 before.
The adds were easy to down. Tank almost never needed a heal. Just keep Earth Shield up and he will/should be perfectly fine. Let the tank stand in the doorway so it can jump on the mobs fast. Even on cloth the mobs didn't really do a lot of damage. About 400 at level 80.
I think this will be a pretty hard boss to solo. Unless you don't take much damage from regular attacks from the boss and can heal up from the thunderclapping effect he has.
For a group like ours it was pretty easy and tank and spank.
He never took more then 50% hp away from the group by the way.

Solo Protadin -
The Trash
It was a lot easier than i thought, i made a few mistakes in letting the NPCs stay under the AoE clouds an thus they died, so other than remembering to move the packs out of the hurricanes, just pick a corner and soak up all that sanc mana and aoe em down with your various abilities.
As for Rajaxx
I was getting hit for about 8k from the thunder claps.
This guy pretty much never misses... even against a level 80 protadin (me) about the only viable way that i could see this working somehow is with Ardent Defender and keeping yourself just below 35% hp at all times. This was keeping the claps to about 900 per.
The problem is, like i said before he rarely seems to miss for some reason... i mean my avoidance had to have been nearly 10% or lower at best (usually around 50%), so BoS wasn't giving much mana back at all, and i therefore went oom pretty fast.
I'm going to try a few things and will post my findings on how to kill this beast solo. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine

I did this solo as a level 80 Prot Warrior. I only have 25k HP unbuffed in mostly heroic gear and about 1300 block value for larger shield slams. I opened every wave with a thunderclap + shockwave and made sure to keep the adds off the NPCs. Keep in mind they give you a healing buff (200hp/s) if you are friendly with Cenarion Circle, which was more than enough to keep me at full health until General Rajaxx came out so save your cooldowns for him.
When fighting General Rajaxx I opened with a shield wall for the first knockback. I believe it hit for somewhere around 3-4k (could be partial resistance involved or something). The second knockback I used enraged regeneration to heal myself back up. I beat him with about 8k health left due to the annoying knockback damage.

Very easy to solo as a feral druid.
For waves simply demo roar/swipe/back against the wall/swipe/swipe/swipe till dead - if you need to shift out for a quick health topup between waves (even if you only are a little hurt you might as well) - repeat till boss comes. pretty much a straight tank and spank against the wall, you just have to be careful of the move that takes half of your current health. Make sure you save your frenzied regen for when you are very low on health or it's just going to be wasted.
Also, all heals - frenzied regen, trinkets, potions should be used immediately AFTER his 50% health/knockback move if you are going to use them - don't waste them by healing only to have 50% of that immediately taken away.
Again, not much of a problem to barkskin/shift out/heal unless you are down to a minute amount of health you'll be ok. But agian, don't shift out to heal unless his big move has just happened or you may be caught by it in druid form with painful results.

If you're trying to solo this guy; do
NOT
start the event before the NPCs get there. As soon as I pulled the two first packs, Andorov shouted "Remember Rajaxx when I said I'd kill you last?" and then nothing more.
The NPCs didn't spawn at any point, so I had to kill him without their DPS, stuns and the additional healing.
It is doable to kill him without any help, but it's a lot easier if you get the NPCs to help you, as their dps can be very helpful.
--
This was done as a Protection Paladin
EDIT: typo in Andorov's name
EDIT 2: There's no need to worry too much about the knockback damage, as it's based off of a percentage of your current health. When I was at 5k health, it barely did any damage to me, and with Judgement of Light up I managed to stay for a few percents of his health(untill I decided to pop Lay on Hands for the mana, and nuked him down)

the npc's come much later then they used too back in classic days but they stil come. they are a huge boon if you are soloing this boss. yust be alittle patient, andarov and his soldiers come eventually.
Myself as hunter soloed rajaxx quiet easily, andarov's aura kept my allive from thundercrash (i occasionally bandaged though since he can pretty much onehit you if you get aggro after thundercrash). Andarov can also stun the boss, he does this once every thundercrash (do mind this ability can be dodged by rajax).

First time I did it I had them, easy fight (feral, lvl80, Naxx gear) - 2nd time it was a bit more challenging :P (no buff / extra dmg etc)

2 manned with 2 Shaman
1 Elemental - 1 Enhancement
This thread (up to this point) is rather misleading. So I want to clear a few things up. If you wait around for a few minutes after killing Kurinnaxx then Andorov and his crew will run out and stand near to the corpse of Kurinnaxx. Talk to Andorov and it will start the event. He says something like ''If it bleeds we can kill it" and then he shouts the line ''Remember Rajaxx when I said I'd kill you last?'' followed by ''I lied'' and the event will start. Follow the npc's. Make Andorov your focus target. (Right click his portrait and select ''Set as Focus'' you can then move around the focus box if you've never set anyone as your focus) Make sure that he stays alive, especially if you're trying to solo this.
When the waves start, the enhancement shaman made sure that the named guy dies first, throwing out a chain lightening here and there to grab the attention off of the healing aggro that the elemental shaman is getting. (He was healing npc's and throwing some lightening. Because we had read this thread we were expecting something a lot harder) So he pulled up the name tags of friendly targets (Shift +V) and watched the health of the npcs.
On this thread someone mentioned 3 minutes in between each wave. Not sure when they changed that, but it's definitely not the case now. The waves will keep coming one after the other. They go down so fast you don't really have a lot to worry about, just make sure the named guy goes down first because a couple of them have a knock back. (also keep in mind that because the waves keep coming back to back, conserve your mana as well as you can if you're a mana user because you don't get to sit and drink. Save shamanistic rage and innervate whatever you have for Rajaxx)
Now for the boss. After the waves finish, Rajaxx come out of hiding. Andorov will start with aggro, however I thought it was silly to let him tank and instead I (the enhancement shaman) frost shocked Rajaxx. Pull him back against a wall. His main ability is that he will do a knock back which will consume 50% of your health (no matter where your health is currently at. So if you have 10k health the knock back will take 5k health. If you're at 2k health it'll take 1k health, etc.) I just saved my maelstrom and healed myself up after the knockback and continued to kick his butt. He goes down fast and Andorov will heal you as well.
Pretty easy fight! It's not as scary as it seems on this thread =)
Have fun and good luck!

Just attempted him on a 80 hunter with BM spec and crocodile tank as pet.
The waves went really smoothly, no problem there as long as I had my pet engage the first few mobs that came so that the thunderclap took a majority of the adds. Then I just feigned and proceeded to kill the named mobs first, and then just volleying the rest. At times I just kept on chugging at a few mobs to regain mana.
The problems started at the General. Truth to be told I hadn't read any strategy before, so I didn't know what to expect. Every time he resetted aggro with his thunderclap I had to run away so that my pet could regain aggro before the general reached me. This was because I was at pretty low health and so the general would pwn me if he reached me.
What finally doomed me was a very unfortunate outranging from my pet the second the general enraged. Mend pet had just run out, and when I finally got into range to apply it my pets health had dropped too low. In the end he died from the raging General and I had to feign.
To those hunters trying to solo this, I suggest to somehow place your pet against a wall as the General is engaged, maybe by running to a wall and calling the pet over. I believe that as long as the pet can regain aggro quickly enough after a thunder clap, then this would easily be soloable by hunters.

Soloed easily as a 21/50 Warlock.
Targeted the wave-mobs one by one with felguard to get aggro, used Howl of Terror a few times to make it easier.. corruption on all the mobs and just kept healing my pet and refreshing corruption + throwing in a few nukes when possible.
If I was low on health/mana at the end of the wave, I just turned off pet's attack and bandaged up etc. before killing the last mob and triggering the next wave.
The boss himself was a tank & spank, only thing worth mentioning is the nasty AoE which he does every 10 secs or so.. hits you and pet around 5-7k iirc.. keeping Curse of Weakness + corruption (siphon life) on boss and draining life + healing pet was enough in my case.

The adds were nothing, I used seal of command for extra AoE, and myakah used seal of light, but it didn't seem like it was needed. Then the boss pulled, and we tanked him against the wall as soon as we found out about his thunder clap, and I, unfortunately, DPS'ed him from the front. I had to actually worry about heals on him, but that was mostly covered by Art of War procs.

Useful trick for any DK trying to solo or tank this guy. His thunderclap can be fully absorbed by a well-predicted antimagic shell cast. He seems to do it about every 30 seconds or so?
In case you're having issues with running out of health (possible at weaker gear levels), you can use AMS to soak one and give you a breather while you continue to top up your health. Even if you're not having problems, absorbing it will completely fill your runic power, so it's never a bad thing.
Edit - Somebody on the site out on a downrating spree or something? Some useful info being downrated, and not just my own...

Soloed this guy as a blood death knight tank. The pulls before him are easy, just keep smacking them until they die, eventually you'll get them all and the general will go for you. The packs go for automatically so don't be a hero and pull them all at once or something.
The general does a thunderstomp that does a lot of damage. Like previous posters said you can time them at around 30 seconds, just make sure you keep your health above ~17k. The other thing is disarm, which for a death knight at least means major problems since you can't death strike for health. And topically army of the dead does nothing.
You can also get some npcs to help you out, just get close to the entrance you canme through. Gear was from naxx and icc 5 man heroics.

I was able to solo this on my holy priest. After killing the first boss, I figured I'd just try this one to see how far I got, not really thinking I could finish it. However, I managed to make it.
I used my shadowfiend whenever possible, as well as any other mana-returning spells. I used holy nova to burn down the trash. Every time there was only one mob left, I would refrain from killing him, and let my mana regen a bit until the next group came along.
For the boss, I just conserved mana and kept dots on him, bubbling on cooldown and using Prayer of Mending and Renew on his knockbacks. If mana was low, I would wand in between. I used my shadowfiend again when he was up, and took the boss down after an epic 18.5-minute fight. =-)

Definitely doable as Shadow Priest.
I'm in 4pc Shadow T10-251 but have ilvl 200 dps trinkets, and my other gear is 251+ Healing gear -- so yes, I'm way over hit from spirit and my gear is not exactly optimal.
The biggest issue here is mana management. Your Shadow Word: Pains (and apparitions) and any Holy Novas you throw will easily dispatch the enemies, though you may find it helpful to throw the occasional Devouring Plague or SW: Death for instant damage/self-healing.
Shadowfiend on CD, Disperse on CD, Shield on CD, and even Shield up and Hymn of Hope when you get a chance (the lull between phases is a great time for this). Other than when you HoH, always be moving.
I did fail to keep Andorov and his men alive, despite doing a bit of Holy Nova when mana allowed or my health required it, but the incoming damage never ended up being anything I couldn't handle.
The boss himself goes down quickly and easily to standard Spriest single-target damage, though continue to shield on CD. Put your back to a wall to deal with his knockback.
For a properly geared Shadow Priest, this fight should not present too much challenge.

Boss has a significant knockback attack that gets in the way and seems to hit pretty hard (or has particular abilities that do) but quite doable.

The only scary part about this fight is his knockback which does up to 50% of your current health in damage.
Don't be afraid because he chops 50% of your level85's health in one hit..It is fairly infrequent so just my normal heal cycle gets me back to full before it is used again as a Paladin, and anyway even if you dont heal it seems like each progressive hit does less and less of a percentage damage and it'll never kill you anyway.
EDIT: This comment was to let solo'ers know that this guy is no less a push over than any other boss. His knockback may do 50% of your health, but since it is percentage based it never actually kills you, and he will be down before any more than 3 are ever cast.

Required a fair amount of healing, but nothing that wasnt easily overcome. Kept priest out of range of the trash guantlet and just aoe nuked until the boss initiated the fight. Then started laying into the boss with all offensive cooldowns as normal. Once sufficient threat was built up, brought my priest into healing range of my paladin. Every so often he will do a knockback and a massive chunk of the paladins health would disappear, so i spammed greater heal a few times, prayer of mending and then renew to keep her nice and healthy. Then just kept nuking the boss til death. Could have used ligthwell but to be honest, i doubt it would have been necessary.

The waves were very easy, take next to no dmg. There is alot of punting around, but you dont go too far. Target the Captain/Major of the group, and use aoe moves to kill the rest. I did them one pack at a time, but I probably could have taken 3 packs at a go.
The general was pretty quick kill. Nice healing buff from the npcs, pop your back to a wall and destroy.
Took maybe 4 minutes to go through the waves and kill the General.

The first and foremost goal should be to keep the 5 NPC's healed, the fight can get much more difficult in a hurry without them.
Also be warned that you can be feared into the room and aggro the next wave before you are ready.
Keep 1 Warrior alive on each wave till you are ready for next wave, you can talk to the NPC's on last wave to have more control over the course of the fight.
Wave 1: Center - Captain Qeez
Swarmguard Needler x2 - Qiraji Warrior x4
Wave 2: Right side - Captain Drenn
Swarmguard Needler x5 - Qiraji Warrior x1 (last)
Wave 3: Left side - Captain Tuubid (has AE)
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
Wave 4: Further left - Captain Xurrem
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
Wave 5: Further right - Major Yeggeth
Swarmguard Needler x4 - Qiraji Warrior x2
Wave 6: Deep left side - Major Pakkon
Swarmguard Needler x4 - Qiraji Warrior x2
Wave 7: Deep right side - Colonel Zerran
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
Then: General Rajaxx (NPC's must be alive to make this easy, else the challenge is significantly harder)

1. Dont talk with the NPCs.
2. gather in the open area where you killed the scorpid
3. pull first wave
4. root 2 flyers
5. tank the boss of the wave and nuke it
6. offtank/ crowd control rest
7. nuke flyers
8. nuke melee BUT leave 1 alive
9. keep the one melee rooted by a druid and feared by a warlock
10. regen mana by standing around... (sorry but this is a horde taktik we dont have the paladins to regen mana ;) )
repeat above for all waves, just a little change at the last wave, before you get to the fight with Rajaxx. before killing the last mob talk to the npc and let him kill the last melee mob. Make sure when the last mob is killed your raid is as close as possible to the gate to the room where the waves are standing around or ppl get randomly portet to the boss and die instantly.
now just keep the npcs alive -> aura that heals 200 life/tick -> you only need MT healer and healer for the npc, party is healed by the aura. dont put too much attention on the 4 melee npcs, just keep the boss alive so the healing aura is applied and this is a freaking easy piece of #$%^ and you always go with full mana into next wave.

This is pretty easy, we killed him 2nd try (we dont have the best gear, about half our tier 1). The trick is to keep the lieutenant and his guards alive until rajaxx. Make a macro to target them and monitor their health. The lieutenant does amazing DPS, but his HP isnt the best, so you should watch out for him the most. Let him tank rajaxx the most you can, then when he finally dies, use your MT. By the time he died for us, Rajaxx had only about 20% health left.
easy as pie.

The next waves comes if you kill all Warriors, not the others or the captain. So keep one to regen mana. It seems that the third wave is harder than others, cause of the AOE dmg spell of the Captain (I once have been hit to 2000.

The event is bugged for us. When we killed the last warrior of the 4th wave, the all remaining waves attacked us. We sent a ticket to GMs and they reset the event.
BTW you have to put Detect Magic on the last wave's boss, and dispel him when he enrages or it will be impossible to keep the tank alive.

The hunter trick, where you pull him with a pet DOES work. However... He is insanely tough. He slaughtered the NPCs in seconds and didn't take him much longer to kill us. I think you gotta go through all thw waves first.

This is what we did:
We activated the event using Andorov and his friends.
We downed needlers first while NPCs tanked the Qiraji Warriors. We then kited one warrior as we killed the others so we had time let the healers/casters mana up and heal the NPCs.
We assigned healers to the NPCs and made it their mission to keep Andorov and his men up at all costs. The Lt. General's buff is too key to the fight to let the guy die.
When the waves ended we sent in our warriors to spam sunder & generate threat on Rajaxx as Andorov and the remaining NPCs dps-ed him down. Nature resist pots are good to mitigate the General's AOE knockback and damage.
If you keep the NPCs up, Rajaxx is going down.

Very nice event, a bit confusing at first :)
What we did is make sure our allies NPC survive the different waves.
Each time Main Tank grab the 63+ mob and we DPS his ass like hell... other warriors are to offtank the warrior mobs, the bees (don't know their name in english) are second in list for kill.
We save ONE warrior mob appart from the raid and use him to regen at the end of each wave. Once killed, next wave comes.
Use your fear every time !
Once some aggro was gained, fear the crowd and make sure to kick the 63+ down ASAP, he takes a lot of mana from the healer, I am 7/8 with MC gear with quel serrar and drillborer... 100 nature resist with buff too in this case... he does punct :D
As for ajaxx, make sur you go after him once his aggroed, don't fight him outside, we had bugs while fighting him in there... textures problems and aggro resets... 100% life during our second try, that sucked ^^
General will most likely be the one focused, use your warriors to taunt and draw aggro away from him in order to let him survive... his area buff is so massive that he will heal himself very fast, and you as well !
In case of AOE KB, well it does 1/2 of your current HP damage... but general buff will heal you in no time ! With 100 NR I was saved from many KB BTW :) *resist* ! :D
Dropped that insame two hands sword, looks bad ass, and stats are really awesome too :)

Holding one warrior at bay in entangle no longer works as of patch 1.10 .
The waves are set on a timer type mode. Where no matter what you get the next wave attacking you.
Not sure of the time frame to work with but it seems to be roughtly 5 to 10 minutes between waves.

On the test realm 1.11 I went in with 20 guys, and we stayed against the wall in the room before the general's terrace, so when he stomped he couldn't run after the healers and casters, we could keep him aggroed. I got on the raptor pre made mount and pulled him into that room and I main tanked until about 3/4 way through healer stumbled and I died. I watched as the warriors spammed excecute and sunder...and we beat him. This was our fourth try lol, we wiped so many times...and he didn't drop any epics, only rares, some codex for healing...and some drapes. there was four items. I was tired after that so I left and I'm hoping to do it again sometime soon. General Rajaxx was taken down. :P

Do not fear the first wave or you might pull others.
Take Needlers first, then warriors, then the General.
Take down the General of the 3rd wave FIRST.
Dispell the General of the last wave ASAP.
Keep the Lieutenant General ALIVE AT ALL COSTS. If you lose him, reset by running into Kurinaxx's room.
Do not fight Rajaxx outside the gates, as there are SO many bugs that may make him evade, and there are no real walls to keep everyone from flying backwards after his AOE.
Notes: Wiping or resetting (you can only reset the boss fight) will respawn all of the packs. Packs seem to be on a timer, rather than based on what you've killed in the previous pack. Mana is VERY necessary. Always have Master Loot on so your guild ninjas won't snag it all ;P

When you heal while fighting rajaxx, use the lowest rank heal you can. I can do rank 1 lhw and with my +healing gear I heal for about 300, which is all you need. It also helps to stand around the general for his aura: it alone is enough to heal you.

Yes he is the 2nd boss of AQ 20 man. You start the fight with 5 lvl60-61 elites helping you, but in all honesty...they're not much help.
Once the event is started by by talking to one of the NPCS there will be about 6 waves of mobs that comes at you. Each wave will consist of 7-8 mobs in it. Do whatever kind of crowd control you can to do deal with these mobs. You cannot drink between the waves so be sure to conserve mana however possible, this is an endurance fight for the most part.
After the last wave the General himself comes. He's a big, huge mean looking guy. Watch out for his knockback ;) All in all, this is a really fun encounter.

And also, the waves seem to come MUCH faster since the patch came in. We used to have no wipes on this part, and we had a very balanced group. And the bats in ZG now explode(again). Did Blizzard even tell us about this? :|

Its not neccisary to use the NPC's. We wiped and they hadn't respawned. (FYI The re-spawn on the npc's is only 10 minutes, not 2hrs.)
So we started it ourselves. as we were destroying the 2nd wave we kept one warrior alive and rooted, while we let our mana-sissies regen mana. If you dont use the NPC's You can take down time at the end of teh waves and regen mana.
The only thing to keep in mind. YOU CANNOT GET THE NPC'S MID-ENCOUNTER. They will reset the Trash and it will be a nasty wipe.

Ok. What we did is we did not talk to the npcs, then I the OT was assigned a warrior and then we took the fly guy things first and crowd controlled the rest of them. Kill the things in order of Fly guys>warriors(except one)>general and then save the last warrior and have him crowd controlled while the mana users spirit regen. Then when everyone is full on mana have the leader again assign targets for the next grp. Rinse and repeat. The boss himself was difficult. He hits about 800-1500 on me as a tank, and he drops agro every once and a while. The key is if u die u just have to run back. Scince its not a long run you should be fine and it doesnt reset the instance. Oh yeah and our NPCs got slaughtered in the first 20% so honestly they didnt help that much besides giving our healers less work to do on the rest of the grp. You should probly pull him into the room where the first boss was so the people who died dont have to run as far. As for the knockback have one warrior be tanking him and then have another warrior with the main grp and have the warrior with the grp pickup agro and take him away from the grp again. Very sucessful strat. We killed him on our first try

The NPC's assist whether or not you talk to them (but you have to fight in range of where they run to line up if you want their assistance), and the waves do not wait for all previous mobs to be dead, they are timed, and fast enough to wipe you if you don't have the dps.
评论来自

ok, this is an extremely easy fight if u can keep up the named npc and have almost everyone friendly with cc. just manage through the waves using aoe fears roots etc theyre timed so dont bother saving one. then since andarov gives u an aura that restores 200 health every 5sec, nobody needs heals, the only aoe he has is a 50% health thing but itll only kill u if ur below 200 health. just watch out for the cleave and andarov will be the only person in need of healing

To initiate the fight, you speak with the Lieutenant General that appears after you defeat Kurinnaxx. The battle, as described before, consists of 7 waves of elites, each headed by a captain.
In my experience, having fear rotations done by warriors, priests, and potentially warlocks buys enough time to take down the captain. After that, it's simply a matter of having druids entangling and hunters chain trapping while the rest of the group DPSes the mobs down one at a time. It is extremely important to focus fire on targets-- the mobs have too much HP and hit too hard to effectively AoE them down.
Our group initially started and lost the lieutenant general AND all the friendly elites in the first wave of mass chaos and wiped. Afterwards, we simply began the pull and realized that waves will not come until ALL the mobs during the previous wave have been killed. As a result, we would have druids chain entangling ONE mob while the rest of us regenerated mana, raised the dead, and renewed our buffs. Had the NPCs been alive, we would have no control over the time it takes to kill each wave and unable to start each wave fresh.

Once you kill
Kurinnaxx
make sure no one talks to the Human NPC. Only the main tank is to talk to him, when everyone is in position and ready. The next fight is a triggered event that starts when you talk to the Human NPC. Rajaxx will yell: "The time of our retribution is at hand! Let darkness reign in the hearts of our enemies! No longer will we wait behind barred doors and walls of stone! No longer will our vengeance be denied! The dragons themselves will tremble before our wrath!.
General Rajaxx is an extremely long fight, so the only option for this battle is to conserve mana
Basically, waves and waves of Qiraji Warriors and flyers will keep pouring in. Once a wave dies, another is sent within only two seconds.
Wave 1: Center - Captain Qeez
Swarmguard Needler x2 - Qiraji Warrior x4
Wave 2: Left side - Captain Tuubid
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
Wave 3: Right side - Captain Drenn
Swarmguard Needler x5 - Qiraji Warrior x1
Wave 4: Further left - Captain Xurrem
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
Wave 5: Further right - Major Yeggeth
Swarmguard Needler x4 - Qiraji Warrior x2
Wave 6: Deep left side - Major Pakkon
Swarmguard Needler x4 - Qiraji Warrior x2
Wave 7: Deep right side - Colonel Zerran
Swarmguard Needler x3 - Qiraji Warrior x3
You need to drink in this short lapse of time if you can. Warlocks and Mages need to put a lot of DPS here on mobs. ALL Warlocks need to fear units constantly, and dot the main tank's target while keeping a watch on the feared mob, to recast fear on them again and again. Druids can entangle-root mobs, and priests should use their Fear-2 mobs ability, hunters might get a chance to place traps in between waves. This orchestrated mob control will ensure the survival of all the 20 players, and keep you save from too much damage. Remember to dot the main tank's target while fearing or entangling. Once it dies, move to the next target -- rinse and repeat, until everyone is dead. Making the fight last longer by crowd controlling is good -- in that lapse of time your healers and DPS casters are regenerating mana.
Once you've finished all the waves, General Rajaxx will make his way to you. Looking into his room, start running towards it and make a right as soon as you pass through the door way. If you're a healer, this is a good place to stand. Generally, the MT needs to keep his back to a wall so when Rajaxx does his AoE knockback or MT knockback, he doesn't go flying across the room and can easily restablish aggro
If you keep the 4 Kaldorei Warriors and Human healed, you won't have much trouble. They have tons of hit points. The challenge is if you wipe and they die. They won't respawn for at least two more hours, so you will be left on your own without the NPCs.
Once you've killed Rajaxx and the NPCs are still up. Give it some time and they despawn and give you 1000+ reputation with Cenarion Hold. You can also pull mobs to them and let them take care of business.

This encounter starts when you talk to the Lt. General NPC (with a great one-liner from the movie Commando, I might add). There are seven waves of enemies before this boss. Each wave comes with roughly 7 mobs consisting of one Captain and various combinations of Needlers and Warriors. The Warriors are slow but have plenty of health. The Needlers are paper by comparison, but are very quick and can do some mean damage if you're not careful. My group tried mass fearing/trapping/rooting the mobs, and taking them down one by one while the MT tanked the Captain of each group. It worked up until the 3rd wave, when that Captain started using an AoE lightning attack. We could get to the 4th wave, but by then we had been all but decimated by the wave before. Any advice on this encounter would be greatly appreciated.

My guild has not been able to get past Rajaxx due to these bugs.
We have attempted about 5 or 6 times. Every last attempt was bugged.
The first time was the most frustrating. We cleared to the very
last wave, and all of a sudden the few remaining mobs started evading.
All the previous waves suddenly respawned and all of them came out at once.
Every subsequent time after that we get to the 3rd wave and it doesn't come.
We have tried pulling manually, but the timing is off from that point and
we end up getting multiple waves at once, evading, etc..
Finally opened a ticket with a GM after the last attempt. Response?
As canned as SPAM. "Yes we know, sorry for the inconvienance. Our
developers are working on it."
If they can't fix it, just remove it!

Our raid returned to the instance the day after failed attempts on Rajaxx to discover that the instance had not reset as normal. There were no trash mobs, the coffers were back, and we had no NPCs. We thought, oh crap, until we realized that we didn't have the waves, either, only Rajaxx himself. Without the Lt. General, it was quite a different fight. We were able to really learn a lot about him. I posted the following elsewhere as well:
It is still possible to take Rajaxx if the NPCs are dead, though it is a longer and different fight. At least two tanks are necessary, one standing against a wall with the rest of the raid, and the main tank holding Rajaxx away from the raid. The tank standing near the raid is there to taunt Rajaxx and pull him back out to the main tank if he heads toward the raid. Because of the lack of the Lt. General to hold Rajaxx, the aggro wipe caused by Rajaxx's thunderclap means that the next person who does anything will gain aggro. Because it takes a moment for the tanks to get back aggro, no DoTs or HoTs should be used. Because everyone but the tanks has low health through most of the fight, anyone gaining aggro will likely die in one hit.

Here is what works for our group:
Do not talk to the NPCs.
For each wave have a tank OT the captain type guy and kill all but 1 of the others (chain fear the fliers and tank/root the walkers. Focus DPS one at a time). When you have 1 walker left kill the captain and then wait until everyone regens their mana before killing the last walker (this can be a while if there is low spirit so use the Divine spirit on mana users). Note during the regen time one war can be tanking the walker, rotating heals so regen is faster.
After all 7 waves, regen then talk to the NPCs so you have them for the fight. Let the main NPC be the main tank (dont try to grab aggro from him). Heal the npc and try to get Rajaxx as low as possible while hitting him from ranged. If the npcs die then use two tanks or kite him around. Believe you can freeze trap him too if necessary. Remember you can graveyard run if you need to.

My guild has taken down Rajaxx twice so far, but on our third try (Tuesday 9/19/06) the event got bugged. After the 4th wave was killed, the NPC does his usual yelling and then we wait... The 5th wave didn't come for a minute or 2 (it usually takes 10 sec) and we were all out of combat (usually in combat for the duration) so we decided to pull one group. We started killing the group that came and then halfway through, another wave came and wiped us.
We figured if we would have waited it might have been fine so on our second attempt after we all healed up and let the NPCs respawn, the same thing happened right after the 4th wave. We decided to wait it out. This time, the next wave eventually came by itself. We killed it. The next wave came by itself and then, halfway through, the next group came early and wiped us. Something in the timing is off.
Anyone else having similar problems around the 5th-7th waves or can think of something else we could try?

Genaral Rajaxx unlike most other raid bosses in instances is suspectable to some forms of crowd control, i.e Hunter's Freeze trap. After a near wipe on him one of the hunters in my guild pulled him into a freeze trap and proceeded to chain trap him for a minute. enough time for casters to regen mana. When you think about it, it makes sense that it works on him, as all the other mobs in the 6 - 7 waves before hand can be crowd controlled in similar fashion
Had us all laughing the first time it happened as we didn't think it was possible. Not sure If Frost Nova or Engtangling Roots or such things also work but could someone post if they do?
