I got this tonight and slapped a mongoose on it. I know the mongoose works because I have seen the animation and lightning speed buff, but the enchant doesn't make my sword look like lightning. This is strange because hope ender has the same graphic as spiteblade and the mongoose lightning shows up on that.

To be made BoE as of 2.4.

The easy availability of the S1 sword means you still won't see many Rogues bother with this, but it's definitely a good choice for a DW Warrior's offhand.

actually you should learn to read cause he said and I quote 14agi-28ap which is completely wrong I know what he was trying to say but he said it wrong yes you can increase the amount of ap you get from the 14agi on spiteblade but you have to spec to get it other wise its just 14agi=14ap so actually its you that need to learn to read fenam

For a rogue mainhand would spiteblade be better than this? Basically does the additional .1 attack speed on spiteblade make up for the slightly lower dps? ( disregarding the stats on both items )

One of my favorite swords in the game. My dwarf paladin used it for tanking from level 70 up until about 79; nothing else I saw during those levels could outdo the damage (and thus threat) this thing could do. Now I have a second one, which I look forward to equipping on my blood elf tank at the appropriate level.

after camping doom lord for awhile leaving a alt i dont really play there who can easly solo doom lord kazzak this dropped for me. didnt take very long to sell and it sold for 10k

Very Nice blade Got it From the Ah an lasted me For a Few Once got To Northrend. Was a 68-70 Hunter. Funny thing is Its Not a Hunter Weapon I just wanted To use It For Such a Awesome sword lol. I thought this might be good for a hunter (no im not looking for a hunter/ no hunter arguement) with one in each hand and one enchanted mongoose one savagery to get a constant attack power and a boost when mongoosed procs of course it would be hard to get with rogues and warriors and mabe another hunter competing in a 40-man just looking for advice and to be told if maybe there is something better.

Very nice looking sword, DW these is only bad because a 2.6 speed weapon doesn't make very good use of combat potency; it's a decent DW setup only for a hemo rogue.

While it is true that Rogues want a weapon down around 2.8-2.9 seconds, it's also true that BC has very (and I mean VERY) few lvl 70 Rare and Epic weapons with speeds in that range. Unfortunately, 2.6 sec is one of the better MH speeds you'll find on weapons these days.

not wery good for pvp but rocks for pve,rouges will now be at the top of DPS meter list.All good pve rogues i've seen have this item so its not realy bad drop afterall.

Great weapon, got buffed along with everything else in one of the patches a month or so back. I was getting white crits for 1200-1300 out of it on the Mag fight we did right after killing Kazzak. Now I get to go enchant the damn thing. =)

Looks pretty cool also; it's worn across your back like a two hander.

I'm a Fury warrior by the way, so for me, and I'm sure all the rogues, this sword is only missing one thing: plus to hit rating. However, the crazy AP and top end dmg on this thing justify using it.

Drop is kinda nice even though there are 1h swords that are better. If you are having trouble getting this sword (cuz Doom Lord has over 4 Million health) try making a Blazeguard with the BS profession. This sword looks cooler though and its worn on the back :)
