Took me 18 kills to get it. My main isn't a skinner either. Terrible drop rate.

Whilst the quest token drop rate is terrible, the end quest chain is surprisingly heartwarming, almost worth the effort.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Brave Researchers. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of the Waking Shores which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Quests in order I done:

1a. Behavior Analysis "Homework" - Interact with 3 Sleeping Whelp: /way 42.53 79.37 /way 42.35 82.59 /way 43.52 84.97. Then Report back to questgiver using all conversation options.
1b. Scientific Meat-thod - Slay Pudgy Riverbeast until loot Extra-Delicious Riverbeast Meat, drop rat is around 10-20%.
3. Secret Research - Wait few sec. and press on Explorer's Crate wait 10-15 sec then speak with Iyali then wait another few sec.
4. Identifying the Source - Slay Trakhan 44.53 80.54
5. Bring In the Expert - Collect 5 Sunlight Flower they are monitor by Eltie with almost 1M HP xD You need flying to get to them. Use Fear or stun to pick up ( or wait xD ) and run xD. Location:
/way 43.08 79.44 Over ground
/way 43.46 82.99 Over ground
/way 42.06 77.58 Over ground
/way 40.53 80.02 Over ground
/way 38.67 82.33 Over ground
6. Theory in Practice - press on Injured Proto-Whelpling then speak with Tyrgon and give him a name ( Bob) after that storyline will finish.

You're not doing anything wrong. The drop rate is just terrible. I killed 10 or so before it dropped.

Absolutely AWFUL drop rate, as others have said. You'd think blizz would put a cap on things like this instead of RNG.

I just did this quest and only had to kill 2 Pudgy Riverbeasts.

it took forever to get this completed. The drop rate on this is very low but I was able to get my skinning skills up!

So, I have, uh, more homework... Professor Tyrgon's lessons are super tough! He wants us to find out what proto-whelps, uh, eat! Yeah... I already know the answer! It's riverbeast meat! Can you bring me a piece of riverbeast meat? Some riverbeast meat would be a great "visual aid" for my project. But it has to be a REALLY good piece, ok? Like... the ones from Pudgy Riverbeasts. One like a momma proto-drake would give their whelp to make them strong because, uh, it will make Mister Tyrgon happy.
