I glided over, was a few feet away horizontally, but at the top of the tower rock, got dismounted, fell and died. Ghost flew back and rezzed right at the edge. Wait till there's a breaking in the twisters and dash in to the orb. Careful or you can get blown off the top with some damage.

Stay as far right to the cliffside as you can. That's the only thing that worked for me. GL
On the next part, time your passing on the first Chaotic Updraft and then stay to the left.
For the next area, there's a whirlpool-looking thing that will shoot you to the next place where the Orb of Primal Gales lies. Click it and the Chaotic Updrafts stop.

The tornados send you backwards based on the direction you're facing. If you turn around and walk into them backwards, they'll send you across to the other side you're trying to get to (just avoid the circles).

Anyone understands why I have this quest but my friends don't? And it says the didn't complete some prerequisite quest but there are literary no other quests around to take or complete?

To be eligible for this quest you need to complete A Key Element which is obtained from Orb of Primal Stone which drops from NPCs in the area.

Boy Blizz is really impressed with themselves on this one. They are going to make you do it no matter what. They don't let you fly, they don't let things like Demonic Gateway work.

This is a great example of a horrible quest design, and I cannot imagine why they keep adding ridiculous time-wasting quests like this into the game. There is no fun or value added to the game with this. Why waste your time adding it in only for players to hate it, complain about it, avoid it, etc.? What's the point? Why does Blizzard keep doing this?

As a Demon Hunter, Fel Rush off the cliff.... change directions and Fel Rush back onto the cliff. Didn't get hit with the wind once.

I present You Storyline Beyond the Barrier. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of the Waking Shores which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Quests in order I done:

1a. Site Salvage - Quest from Elementalist Taiyang 66.04 58.15. Rescue 5 Beleaguered Explorers: /way 67.51 57.93 /way 67.85 57.89 /way 66.36 56.74 in tower /way 66.15 55.55 in the hole /way 66.86 54.97
1b. Unearthed Troublemakers - Slay 12 Earth Elementals
1c. A Key Element - From 1st mob i kill doing quest 1a+1b i loot Orb of Primal Stone that give me this Quest. Return with quest 1a+1b to cave /way 66.77 56.32
4a. Rapid Fire Plans - Loot from mobs 8 Primal Flame Fragment them use it to make Orb of Primal Flames.
4b. Distilled Effort - Fly to cave 70.66 56.66 and Slay Acequian to get Orb of Primal Waves.
4c. Lofty Goals - First speak with Scout Ri'tal 70.62 63.15 then avoiding small tornadoes go to speak with Scout Francisco 70.13 61.54. then same avoiding small tornadoes, use air throw to jump and collect Orb of Primal Gales 68.31 61.49.
7. Let's Get Theoretical - First speak with Elementalist Taiyang then wait until all of them will use element on barrien then Blue circle on the ground will appear stand on it and use extra bar.
8. Beyond the Barrier - Get inside room Slay Discordant Watcher and pick up Fragmented Record Rubbing next to wall 66.11 55.02 then go out and see Elementalist Taiyang in camp 65.81 57.42 That will finish Storyline.

I found the easiest way to finish this was to scroll the camera all the way out then move it straight above your character. You can then see the simple, predictable patterns of the tornadoes and the placement of the large &*!@#-winds.

As soon as players accept all three quests to find primal orbs (Lofty Goals, Rapid Fire Plans, and Distilled Effort ), Acadia and Tae'shara begin to bicker. Before it can get out of hand, Taiyang steps in:

Acadia Chistlestone says: Don't be daft, Tae'shara. Fire is more powerful than air. It consumes it!

Examiner Tae'shara Bloodwatcher says: And yet without air, what would fire be? We are not working in a vacuum, Acadia.

Elementalist Taiyang says: Your hypotheses have merit, but I think we will find the answer lies in combining our efforts.

(The player makes their way to a windy ledge above Hornswog Hollow, only to find that Scout Ri'tal seems to be disoriented by some kind of elemental effect.)

Scout Ri'tal says: Hey! Over here!

We found the Orb of Primal Gales, but it's made the wind go berserk!

The player asks, "Where is the orb now?"

Scout Ri'tal says: Francisco had it a second ago. He's just up ahead!

Scout Francisco can just barely be seen on the other side of a field full of Chaotic Updrafts. After some fancy footwork, the player reaches Francisco, only to find that he hasn't fared much better than Ri'tal.

Scout Francisco says: My head just keeps spinning...

I had the orb in my hands--it spun me in circles and made all these whirlwinds!

The player asks, "Where is it now?"

Scout Francisco says: The orb is on the ledge over there. Please get the whirlwinds to stop. If I hit another, I'm gonna... urp...

Use the ledges above the Chaotic Updrafts.

You’ll see a stone bridge. Coords: 70.8, 63.8. Fly up and walk along the high
ledge. You will soon be dismounted. Look for the point where part of the rock path slopes downward. Coords: 71.2, 61.5. The last part of the slope is steep, but the slide is survivable. You’ll slide down near Scout Francisco.

You can bring something to give you a slow fall, such as a Goblin Glider Kit or Revendreth parasols (Stylish Black Parasol, Weathered Purple Parasol) and many other items.

You can also avoid the Chaotic Updrafts by walking along a lower ledge. However, reaching it requires jumping while moving forward several times. Did it once, but couldn’t replicate it.

I tried flying around the Chaotic Updrafts. Worked for one character, but it’s now a no-fly zone. My alt was dismounted and fell to earth.

How do get Revendreth Parasols

Stylish Black Parasol is looted from a treasure chest in Revendreth on a high pointed platform near the Charred Ramparts flight point. (Coords 38.4, 44.3)
Weathered Purple Parasol is the reward from the Achievement Parasoling. Requires completing the World Quest Parasol Peril in Revendreth 10 times.

Description

Air is a powerful element. It cuts through stone and fills sails to take us where we need to go. My hypothesis is that air will be the most effective at removing this barrier. It's simple, really. My scouts report they've found the Orb of Primal Gales. Scout Ri'tal can lead you to it. You can find them near Hornswog Hollow. Quickly!
