being a fire mage, i find it amazing to have a spell such as this. imagine running away from a melee class, or even a caster. dragon's breath, free cast (sheep), bandage = good to go.

Spec: 2/46/3 I am a fire mage to the bone. Dragon's Breath is great when you need those extra precious seconds to get off that winning spell. Finally an alternative to CoC. Blizz must have realized that since CoC side effect was a slow, the fire alt. to CoC should be a blind type effect. Good Job Blizz.

I saw a mage do a spin wile breathing fire and disorient everyone around him. HE them proceded to lay down the AoE. It was pretty epic.

Somethings I would like to clarify:

1. No turning around doesn't have the effect one would want. DB has a cone of area effect where it works when it is cast, just like CoC. Fullstop. Turning around doesn't deal damage to creatures around you.
2. CoC and DB cool downs are triggered together. If you cast DB, CoC is on cooldown and vice versa.
3. Aiming the thing is not that hard but for best effect just stand dead straight in front of the creature/mob you want to hit. If you are in a group and the tank has all the creatures on him just mana shield, go in where he is and cast. All of the creatures will get a hit. This is great with combustion...

*4. This one i am not sure of. Any input on this is appreciated!
It seems from my experience that CoC has a wider cone area with a shorter depth. While DB has a narrower cone but with more depth. Am I in the right? Are they the same? Personally since i am a fire mage i only use CoC once in a while, but when I did use it before I got DB it seemed that it worked like that.

it looks really awsome too, were far from the little whirlwind of CoC, this time there a dragon head that appear in front of you and actually spew out the fire, epic spell with epic look

DB is hard to aim... unlike CoC which has a huge radius (even untalented) DB has a very small radius. not much of an aoe because it's generally for very close combat seeing how small it is.

the graphic for this spell owns though XD

thats what you think, but its says that DB is a 10 yard radius just like COC untalneted

Frost isn't always better than fire... Frost is better for instances by far I agree but fire is better for pvp because, can save you in more 1 on 1 confrontations becuase of the power and since there is more damage its easier to kill casters

i dont think frost is better in instances, i mean if there is a person tanking tehn i would think a fire mage is better becuase of the high damage and its better if u kill the more quickly because the longer it takes the more the healer waste mana. but if ur running or something then frost would be better. frost is also good if ur lik well solo.

fire is PvE these days, however it requires more skill to use properly in PvE becouse of the larger amount of threat it generates. therefore DB is usefull in PvE becouse of the time it buys for the tank to take over and it used to clear aggro, but i'm not sure if that effect is still there. and DB is just $%^&ing awesome ofc

frost is for mages who should go roll a preist because they want more defense fire and/or arcane is pure mage, being just about every spec b4 with a lvl 70 mage i have to say fire is my favorite to me arc/fire or refered to as 3 min mage is for pvp (even without the CDs you still hit really hard) and fire is more raiding in my opinion and its pretty good in soloing too actully, frost i guess is soloing/5 mans but people who are saying that mages that spec fire makes it too hard on the tank if the tank cant keep the agroo i suggest u get a new tank because they obvously suck at it i always have tanks who can easily take my agroo along with everyone else's just fine
