Despite some comments suggesting otherwise, this quest does still exist in TBC Classic.

While most (normal) people will simply buy Felsteed from a trainer at level 30, those that refrain from doing so will be offered this quest at level 40, provided they are a gnome or human (I can only imagine the same holds true for the Horde versions). Note that there are two mutually exclusive breadcrumb quests, either Summon Felsteed given by Demisette Cloyce or Summon Felsteed by Briarthorn. Both lead to Summon Felsteed.

This quest was offered to me at level 40, even though I already trained in felsteed at level 20.

If you're like me, and are wondering if there's a way to save money on training in journeyman riding, this quest will not help with that, nor lead to one that will. You have to pay for journeyman riding in WotLK Classic in order to train in dreadsteed at level 40. No need to run out and complete this quest, unless you want the small amount of xp and/or are going that way anyway.

The price to train in journeyman riding is 45G, for me at honored with my faction rep, so much, much better compared to what it was before. The 'free' training in fast riding was for completing the long, original dreadsteed quest.

I hope you do not expect us to wait on you hand and foot also. You may be growing quickly in power, but you still are a pup when it comes to true knowledge and understanding. If you're not careful, corruption will overwhelm you and your weak will.

But I should get to the point: Strahad wishes to speak to you. He is still residing in his tower overlooking Ratchet in the Barrens. I suggest not taking too long.
