You find the camp going from the Iceflow lake up, you pass the cave with the bears and then you turn right. As said, some weed get droped by seers, others you find in baskets.
the Seers are 8 and 9 lvl

At 41 44 are 5 ground spawning points and several mobs. Depending on who else has come through its easy to do the quest in one sweep. Ive never found it to be hard.

This is a tough quest. Took some retreating as a lvl 7 pally. It is very easy to get three or four mobs on you at once.

As a level 9 gnome mage, I died twice, and would've died a third time if not for a health potion. I got 3 from baskets and 3 from seers, lots of both can be found at the very north-eastern part of the north camp, at , on the hills right before the drop off. Entering by the bear cave was easier, allowing me to avoid two useless mobs, and pick up a seer on my way north. To avoid a pull with 3 or 4 mobs in the north camp, go around to the south and then east, as far as you can away from the camp, but be careful not to fall off.

While the baskets were easier to get to when many people were doing these quests, it is much safer just to farm the trolls from drops, instead of trying to get the baskets. Your safest bet is to just avoid densely populated areas of trolls, and just kill the loners all along the cliff edges.

What worked best for me: go up the ramp, go right, follow the ridge. Next to the trees there are some baskets with shimmerweed that you can open without pulling any seers on you. Continue along the ridge, killing seers and finding another basket with shimmerweed that you can open without getting attacked. With a little luck, you will have enough shimmer weed. If not, then wait for seers to respawn or just attack the group of three.

This is a difficult quest if you're a warrior and very impatient. >.< Yer better off grinding off mobs for the lost XP if you drop it.

Recently, while I was grinding rep for Gnomeregan Exiles and Ironforge, I accepted the quest, and the drop rate seems to be very high. It took me 8 kills and 3 baskets to get the 6 Shimmerweed I needed. The only reason I killed the last two is because they were with another in the cave. Very easy quest for quick reputation.

go west down the river. right before the river curves right, then left to form a lake, theres a trail. kill the frostmane seer. the baskets are around the camp

had 2 or 3 trolls on me at once and was still ok. got close but once I got it down to 1 or 2 trolls, I was able to stay healed and kill them off.

It was very easy at lvl 8.. I thougt it was harder they said so here..

But i find them at 41.44 in small Shimmering Basket and the trolls got them.

For this lvl 8 pallie, it was the first quest that was not a complete cakewalk. Combination of longer aggro range than previous quests plus ranged attack meant you could very easily end up with 3 lightning bolts on you at once, so I gave up on the baskets 'cause of the respawn and took out stragglers.

I've died 5 times. Everytime I start opening a basket I attract the attention of several seers. Tried sneaking up on a seer, but when I tried to kill just one, I got ambushed by several. Might be easier with something other than a rogue.

The path that leads up to the tribe of Seers is at 37,42, directly east of the lake beside a small cave.

I think this one is too hard for a hunter on his own. When you shoot the first target you get chased by two or three Frostmane Trolls who shoot at you with magic and try to chop you up. The path approaching the camp is narrow, so there is no room to move about for a hunter, nor an opportunity to attack from a different angle.

I spent hours looking for these trolls (I even explored in the far east of Dun Murogh, for the stupid sap I am. It says "high up in the hills to the east" after all :-P). Then the tips here brought me closer, but still no luck. It turns out the path leading up to the troll camp is directly to the left (=north) of the cave entrance where the bears prowl around. Watch for the torches sticking in the ground. The bear cave is, as mentioned, to the east of the Iceflow lake.

There are actually two camps. The first can be found by following the path straight up. The second is nearby. Take a left turn somewhere at the top of the path and cross the suspension bridge. Turn right to find the camp. To the left is another path leading down. Watch out for those trolls! :-)

this quest was easy as a lvl 10 dwarf hunter i thought that it would be a lot harder when i got quad teamed but me and me beary lasted and took em out and got it down in under 5mins

The trolls and baskets are in Shimmer Ridge, Northwest of Kharanos. Go up the hill, and you'll find a small camp of trolls, and baskets scattered all over.

i wasen't that hard to do as a level 8 hunter.Take out ones at time undtil there is a basket you can get without getting attack by the frostmanes.

This quest wasn't too hard for a level 10 mage. I fireball'd one of the mages in the the group to death, and ran away.. healed, came back and polymorphed the second mage, killed the third, then killed the second. Then I had free access to the rest of the camp... you know the rest >:D

As an engineer Pally lvl 9, I use Bombs for ranged weapon (30 yrd range). I tried the 41,35 location. 2 of the Seers (mages) begin to cast before they within in my range. All mobs begin to run with up to 10% health remaining and attrack adds. Just the attraction ofone can domino to others yards & yards away. I got 4 single adds this way on one attempt. On one run the mob i killed respawned before I ran back from the grave yard so dont dally as I did. Good thing I got 2 pieces from drops and only had to open 4 baskets.
Crummy reward, good XP & Rep, for me 775 & 250.

Unbelievably easy for rogues. Just pickpocket the trolls v.high rate and no need to enter combat if you are careful. Solo'd lvl 8.

For me, it was very easy. I have two chars, so I just went on my lvl 31, killed all trolls and then went on my other to then just take the shimmerweed from the baskets.

My advice is to carefully go around the outside edge and pick the trolls off one at a time (they occasionally drop the weed) and in between them are little sparkling baskets that have the weed in them.

::Is it just me or is anyone else getting the notion that the trolls got something better than stout going on up in those hills? *Lights up... and takes a deep drag* Ah... that could just be me:: LOL!

rogues can use their pick pocket ability to get Shimmerweed from the seers without getting into a big fight (if you succeed)

its the south east side of the lake called shimmer ridge on your map it should show a small cave and the path to the village is just by it

if you are a decent level its a simple job of killing a few mobs of level 8 casters and raiding the baskets for the weed

for those that want coords its around 40-43

This quest isn't too difficult as a level 8 warlock. If you are going in to solo it, do not even try to go into the camps. Instead, try to work your way around the perimeter getting the seers that are standing by themselves. You should be able to get about half from drops and half from the baskets by doing it this way and not dieing.

my hunter just killed the troll mages at the perimeter of the hill and looted the secluded shimmerweed baskets. the trolls DO drop the shimmerweed, so i didn't have to actually invade the camp. did this solo without pet at level 9

go to 37,42 and head up the path. all the co-ordinates at the camp itself dont indicate how to get there, since its up a hill

Level 9 at the camp at 41, 44. Stealth in to the opposite side of the camp and pick them off one-by-one. With Pick Pockets and killing, plus two baskets, I finished this off in under 10 minutes.

Of course, without Stealth, you would have a tougher time of it. Work your way around the south end of the camp and do the same process. Don't bother entering the camp by yourself unless you want a trip through Dun Morogh's White-And-Whiter Land.

Easily soloed at level 8 with a priest, I was in the camp at 41, 44. I only pulled two once and they were pretty easy to kill. The rest I just pulled one by one.

Be careful, because they do run away when they have less than 20% life.

i pickpocketed 1 shimmerweed from 4 different seers, got one basket, and then finally took 1 basket that was in the center and jumped off the mountain side :)

Didn't get a kill, finished in under 3 minutes

Soloed this with a 9th level dwarf warrior. Just raid the baskets after you kill the seers, but you'll need to pull them without getting three at a time.

I'm on a quest, a quest to make the perfect stout. I know I can do it -- brewing's in my blood. I just need to find the right recipe...

The Frostmane trolls grow a plant, shimmerweed, high up in the hills to the east. They use it in their strange, tribal rituals. We dwarves haven't found much use for it, but it has a unique taste...and I want to experiment with it in my brews!

Get me some shimmerweed from Frostmane seers, or swipe it from the trolls' shimmerweed baskets.
