If you die on this quest, you have to take a corpse rez, since you don't rez at the Skettis graveyard. Therefore, don't die!

He comes solo, does a lot of damage but is not immune to cyclone or maim. Use maim to interrupt his shadow bolts and main-cyclone if you feel the need to heal yourself.

This is also very doable as a Balance Druid, but you MUST remain in Moonkin form to do it. Every spell he casts on you will Hex you for 3 seconds, essentially keeping you from doing anything until you're killed if you try to kill him in caster form (you can shift out of it however). If you need to heal, cast Cyclone, shift out, and heal yourself, then get back into Moonkin before he can hit you.

I took him out before my trees despawned and only took 5 debuffs. Very doable with decent gear as Balance.

Died as feral cat on 1st try came back and used a magic resistance potion and he did a lot less dmg and I downed him very quickly. much less need to stun or heal.

The debuff will stack to a maximum of 20, so it's very easy to do in healer-gear if you know how it works.

Tried it in bear and couldn't do enough damage to kill him before the debuffs got me. Also he was immune to bash. In cat it was easy, just maim to interrupt his casts and he died very quickly.

Another easy one!

Got into my cat gear and at ~2250 AP and 30% crit, this bad boy was annoying, but not at all difficult.

It may be slightly difficult/tricky to see when he is casting, but you may even be able to absorb a few of them anyway. Do as much DPS as possible and, no matter how many combo points you have, lay a maim on him when he begins to cast. Personally, after the maim, I went behind him and did a shred each time, just for the added DPS.

This guy is a bit easier, imo, than the Eagle Essence (the one you fought before). I had no reason to cyclone, no reason to heal myself, nothing!

Did this as full balance in balance gear. Got 10 stacks on me - just cycloned, using HT and Rejuv, back into Moonkin to finish him off.

Solo'd this in moonkin form with 801 spell damage. Drop your treants on the guy then go into moonkin and start spamming wrath. You may want to go with the cat form strategy if you don't have 3/3 celestial focus because he shadowbolts you often which will interrupt your wraths.

No one mentioned the Hex.... I got chain hex'd into a frog which did not break when he hit me so he kept me perma frog, knockback, shadowbolts... he kicked my butt very easily.

So I came back 18 minutes later because I was mad that he beat me so easily.... took an Agility pot and a Defense pot, had two trinkets ready which boosted my AP (one at a time) and maim'd my way through it.... make sure you maim him when he does the Twisting blast as that has the knockback and a hit for 1500 damage.... last tip... make sure your back is not to the water!!!! Not unless you want a swim. Good luck and don't panic just slow and steady... no hex this time as well.

Might be a good idea to stand with your back against the mountain. I was thrown in the water, and it wasn't pleasent with him casting hard-hitting bolts at me. Although I survived, it would have been much easier if I wasn't thrown in the water.

Just finished this quest, was a last minute moonfire that saved me :) As a 70 moonkin this fight can be tricky, treants to start (Though they soon get AEd) then put dots on, nice big starfire, and then interrupt as much as possible keeping dots stacked.

Chain hex is very nasty indeed. Hots helped me through (Barely)

This quest is actually pretty easy as a boomkin. I used a https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=41492. Took almost no damaged, dropped some treants and spammed wrath. :D Most spells came up "immune" until then end and by then his health was doable.

Well I gotta say this one was tricky as a 61 point Resto druid with no feral gear.
So this is what I did.
I ran that mob out of his 58k mana, sitting there in tree form, beating on him with my branches and just throwing Rejuvs and Lifeblooms on myself and occasionally a regrowth.
Took a total of 10 mins to kill him and yeah I had a 20 stack of the debuff on me but it wasnt that bad since my healing easily takes care of his damage.
Every once in a while I just popped out to moonfire and popped right back into form tho I probably could have gone to bear or cat by the time he was OOM since his melee attacks dont do much damage at all.
So have hope Resto Druids this entire line is soloable for you ever with little or no feral gear.

Shadow Resist gear made this a joke for me as a moonkin. Resisted all the marks and knockbacks with 283 resist (my sharaz gear). If you are lazy like me and haven't saved up 5000g till you are in BT, use your SR.

HA! Now that was fun. Did it as a moonkin, no real trouble. DoT and trees, wraith spam, pop a few HoTs about halfway through, make sure the statue is between you. I used Cyclone just for the fun of it. I only have 47 shadow resist, but I was still getting plenty of immunes to his spells. No problem at all.

You don't have to take a spirit res. I was stupid enough to believe the people who said you have to . . . then I flew over and realized I just wasted some gold and 10 minutes of my time.

Rule to follow: If you're not sure, don't talk like you are.

OK champ, tell us then, where to go about it? I hoped that i choosed spirit res. because now i just wasted 20mins Searching for a path to get to my corpse. I'm so stuck now, I can't go back to spirit. and Can't also find my corpse. Give us a clue man will ya?

Had no problem with him, rake, mangle and build 5 points then use rip. remember to refresh your rake and your mangle, when you see him start tp cast the knockback, turn into bear and then when you're flying feral chrge him.

Go back to cat and interrupt him if you get a chance, the main thing is to kill him quickly.

This was tough because although I could maim, shift to elf form, heal and switch back again, my mana ran out quite fast and I couldn't then shapeshift anymore = dead.

If you didn't accept this quest quick enough, the owl disappears and you no longer have your whistle to summon him... In Evergrove in Blades Edge Mnts, the night elf that you got the quests from CAN give you a new one. So no need to sit through an hour-two hours waiting on a GM to tell you that.

I did this as a pvp resto druid, but pve resto is the same. And for those who says "he must be killed asap", i say that they do not even think about what this mob do.

I switched to cat and began hiting him. I ignored the shadow bolts and when he started casting the other spell (i dont remember the name) i maimed him and get out of cat form casting a lifebloom, and a rejuv if too low on health. Then moonfired him and back to cat.

When there were too many debuffs on me, i waited for a maim, then got a bit far and began cycloning him until the 30 sec debuff time was over (if you maim him thats about 8 to 10 seconds that the debuff do not refreshes, the other 20 seconds is for rotation of cyclones stoping his casts of shadow bolts, not cyclospaming, clever use of the druid interrupts, feral charge, etc., for the debuff not refreshing). I hope you got the idea.

This guy was too easy. Not sure the duration, perhaps 5 mins or so of combat.

Took a Fury warrior friend with me. The hex was a little annoying, had to heal myself a bit, but total of maybe 45 seconds of battle. Simple.

Died the first time just all out dpsing him. Second time was cake, just make sure you always have enough energy to get a maim off, when you have excess energy throw in a mangle if you're feral. Maim his twisted blast, and heal during maim if you need it. Soloed in newly-70 gear, feral spec.

I also died the first time I attempted this quest because of not stunning him during his Twisted Blast spell. Got him the second time though:

Activate the statue
Throw on a regrowth and rejuv
Shift into cat
Start accumulating combo points and make sure you have enough energy to Maim when you see him start to cast twisted blast. It is a huge knock back that costs you precious time and also allows him to get off at least one or two shadow bolts.
Heal while he is maimed if you need it.

Killed him on the second attempt.

If you die, you don't have to spirit rez. You'll spawn in the Skettis graveyard. Just find your way to where the Skyguard camp is, and jump down the water fall. Jump down once more and you'll be at your corpse.

Just hit 70 wearing nothing but quest items, self buffed.

Used 1 maim to stop his twisted blast, thats it. Very easy fight
Debuff stacked 7 times and i had 60% hp left when the mob died.

Starfire opener, then kept him dotted until he fell over. He doesn't seem to have special magic resistance, unlike the eagle's guardian.

The debuff stopped stacking at 20, any damage was easily healed through. Treeform makes you immune to hex.

Very very easy to solo as feral with a Major Shadow Protection Potion. Begin the fight with Major Shadow Protection Potion, then dps when you can while maiming twisting nether and shadowbolt. My potion cooldown was a bit over halfway when it died, i had 5800/8400 life left w/o any healing.

If anyone has trouble, buy Major Shadow Protection Potion and use it. It makes this fight extremely easy.

Here's how I beat him (I'm hybrid resto-balance with not enough points for either tree form or moonkin form):

As soon as he becomes attackable, open up with Moonfire + Insect Swarm + Entangling Roots, then RUN (Cheetah form)! Stay outside his casting range while he's rooted and you won't take damage and his debuff won't get a chance to stack. You can even get the debuff to wear off if you're clever. When roots break, repeat the process, dot him up, root him and run. Heal when necessary of course, but you won't be taking much damage with this method.

This was ridiculously easy as a balance druid with ~6000 armor and ~700 spell damage in moonkin.

I just waited until he became aggro, then popped my treants on him and cast entangling roots, insect swarm and moonfire. Then I just pounded him with Starfire and it took about five seconds for him to go down. He took perhaps 15% of my health off before he was in the dirt.

use moonfire, insect swarm, wrath and healing touch. all you need.

this guy was a lot easier to take down than the eagle boss (i needed help on the eagle)

25k HPs and casts shadow dmg.

Very easy to solo as 80 boomkin with 1400 bonus spell power 16.8k armor. I just spammed a couple of wraths and popped treants then one single Starfire took him down.

As of WotLK, all of these quests can be soloed at lvl 80, regardless of spec and very minorly of gear.

I'm full spec resto, nailed the bear-boss easily with wraths, barkskin, and bash to intercept the Starfire.

Wrathed down the second guy; all attacks missed me cause of lvl, so they should miss you too.

Rooted and Starfired third guy. I was critting for 23k, which is about 4x the amount I normaly do. No worries, his 50k goes down easier than 1k.

So all this talk about bringing a friend and speccing properly and strategy is basically out of date at lvl 80. Have fun soloing

I was able to solo all these guys at lvl 70 as boomkin. Each one was super easy, (granted.. I have near 1k spl pwr even at this lvl!) Just threw up dots, summoned trees and wrathed myself to the end of the quest chain.. now on to heroic SH!

Put your cats butt up against the statue that you use to summon him, when he knocks back the first couple of times this will save ya from flying, by the 3rd time though it seems that he is no longer in a good position (at least when i killed him) to use that to stop ya. Another thing is you can wait on using your maim till he starts to cast the knock back. You should try not to let yourself get below 40% hp because he also has a area affect shadow damage spell (similar to arcane explosion) that really starts to hurt towards the end of the fight when you have a lot of those debuffs stacked up.
2nd try, I'm not epic'd out, am feral (tank spec'd). It's really just a matter of keeping dps up through those first couple of knock backs and using your combo points to maim, pop out and heal, then back to dps.

Despite all the comments below about being easy, this was a tough fight. I died 4 or 5 times but, eventually, I beat him with only 500 hp left. Don't give up - just try and try again.

I got turned into a frog at the end of the fight, then blasted into the water. But I had so many bleeds on him he died anyway.

also will recieve a debuff add 10% magical or shadow dmg each time u get hit by a shadow bolt.

I agree with the butt-up-to-the-statue.
With a newish 70 build (2279ap, 30.75%crit), I ripped at 5, then maimed on the first blast with 5 points.
I downed him with 6500/8400hp left.

In cat form, I parsed at 700dps and burned him down in under a minute with only a loss of about 1500 hp (out of 10k). The Recount showed the mob has a bit over 25k hp total so pretty weak and squishy. Even a gimp geared druid should be able to handle this one solo.

Just like the quest previous to this, if you die you will not be able to get back to your body. This NPC has 23k health and his shadowbolts hit for 1.5 to 2k damage. It's suggested that you bring a healer, otherwise this is a straight out dps fight.

Okay... you cannot simply pop out into caster form and heal. If you go into caster from (and he isn't stunned or MAIMED) then he just turns you into a frog and keeps casting on you, over and over again. Stun him, then heal. Like it was said earlier, I wouldn't suggest doing anything with your combo points other than popping out to heal (unless you actually still are feral and can just dps him down before needing to even worry about health or maybe only needing one maim-heal later on).

I'm a feral druid, surprise surprise. I tried the "put your butt agaisnt the statue" and it worked ok for the first 2 knock backs. I died the first time, but the second I just dps him down. I kept 5 points on him, then just use maim, heal, and back to kicking ass....actually easy once I got the tactic down. It's not hard, none of them were and no, I'm not in epics. Location is 60, 60.

Just hit it hard and fast,.. save soem energy to maim him.
Maime for 3 dots or more and it will be giood since maim got about 8 sec cooldown or such. Then you got one ready right after again.
Soo mainly mangle it and so on,.. be ready to maim,.. then mangle on again.

Key is to save your energy and dots and this is no biggie.

60, 60 confirmed coords.

Fresh 70, still in quest greens, extremely easy. You really shouldn't get hit by the blast at all, and just endure the shadow bolts. Yes, you do need to burn him, but not so much that you need to use your combo points on anything other than maim. When you maim, cast regrowth, then go back into catform and keep hitting him.

By my first maim I had lost 1k health, second maim I skipped (shouldn't have, but I just tested it out), third maim I had lost 4k health (8k total health), didn't need a fourth maim because he died.

How to do The Falcon's Essence:

grab the quest
go to Terokkar Forest > Lake Ere'Noru /way 60,7, 60,1
interact with Shrine of the Falcon
defeat Guardian of the Falcon and loot Essence of the Falcon. Can be done in cat form. DPS race, has a huge knockback, can be done solo.
use Arthorn's Sparrowhawk Whistle and return the quest

Miniwing's Defeat of the Guardian of the Falcon

By this time in my journey, I'm ready to defeat Anzu's guardian of the Falcon. Just like the guardian of the Eagle before him, he is stealthed and he won't be seen until you touch the guardian statue. Anzu's guardian cannot be seen, as he must keep the Falcon encased in stone bound.

Only the Raven priests knew of the presence of the Falcon's spirit-prison, and the hidden knowledge of the bound spirit gave them power and solidarity in their Raven worship. Anzu's followers knew that Skettis was sacred, but only its highest level of initates knew the exact nature of Skettis's hidden powerful history. Anzu and his followers suppressed the power in the Falcon and he or she lived in a stone, just on the other side. It must have given all the prophets of Anzu who knew of the Falcon trapped in stone a reminder of the power of their god Anzu, with his enemy guarded for life by the highest powered priest and warrior.

Only a druid both with the knowledge of the greatest secrets of the Cenarion Circle and with great power would be able to learn how to untrap the spirits from Anzu's former rule. Only a druid within the Emerald Dream could help the druid obtain the relics to learn the ancient flight form, but this power cannot be used until the false god and heretic Anzu threatens the Emerald Dream no more.

Nightmares of Ravens encroaching on the Druidic slumber must die before the power of flight is shared. We must protect the Emerald Dream first and foremost!

The Falcon's Essence

Defeat the Guardian of the Falcon, obtain the Essence of the Falcon. Use Arthorn's Sparrowhawk Whistle to call Arthorn's Sparrowhawk to relay news of your success.

If you lose Arthorn's Sparrowhawk Whistle, return to Arthorn Windsong at the Evergrove for a replacement.

The second spirit bound by the raven's followers was the falcon.

It was subdued and imprisoned close to Skettis as a reminder to the raven-priests when they held power.

On the shores of Lake Ere'Noru, to the northwest of Skettis, you'll find the falcon's shrine.

To overcome the falcon's guardian, you'll need to use the falcon's strengths to your advantage. Use the speed and grace of your cat form to defeat the guardian before it reaches full strength!
