Good for all direct DPS types but not affliction locks there curses are not direct dmg so most of their attack besides shadow bolt and a few other spells would work for this

This isn't exactly true - other classes have their own individual benefits from crits as well; e.g. I as a Balance Druid have Nature's Grace (0.5 second reduction on next spell's cast time); Feral Druids have a talent that restores energy or adds additional combo points on crits while shapeshifted; I'm sure other classes have their own variations, but I can't think of them off the top of my head at the moment.
