These boots will become the go-to mage boots in Phase 1-2 of Season of Mastery due to them being the only boots with a Spell Hit bonus. 统帅的丝质裹足 are superior, but due to the high rank requirement they're not a very realistic goal for most players. Previously the Omnicast Boots and T1 were considered the pre-raid BIS option. The PVP boots are also easy to combine with 骑士中尉的丝质裹手 for the +23 Spell Damage set bonus.

In Phase 2, you could possibly replace them with 雪盲软靴 for some situations if you're lucky enough to ever obtain them, but the Spell Hit bonus should still make the PVP boots superior for raid boss encounters.

In Phase 3, however, multiple items with spell hit are newly introduced, and these boots could finally be replaced. 林格的暴风雪长靴 and 灵风长靴 become new targets for acquirement.

Come Phase 4, we finally reach the Bloodvine Set, which combines Spell Critical Strike and Spell Hit with high Intellect and Spell Damage values, making them the premier choice for PVE players.
