T0.5 (also known as Dungeon Set 2) upgrade to the hunter (and sometimes Enhancement Shaman, though the set bonuses were totally a waste for them) Beaststalker Armor. T0, which was required to turn in to receive T0.5, dropped from the "big four" instances: Upper Blackrock, Lower Blackrock, Stratholme and Scholomance.

It dont matter what the costs are, cause if you have the time, money, and man power for the summonings, and everything else involved with this quest, you may as well be in a MC+ guild, and just go for better gear... Im a BM hunter, and would love to complete the set just for the uber buffs to my cat, but alas, it just doesnt seem worth the time and man power to do so... Unless your in full DS - GS, and have nothing better to waste your time on... just my 2 cents...

lol, I'd rather just hand in my BS gear and pay 600g than have to do these quests (45 min Baron run = HARD! =s) I's not a money issue, the quests are the hard bit =)

I did all the quests and now have the complete BM set finally.It took a while(about 3 months of almost everyday playing) to get all the BS drops and do the quests,but once it's all done,it is well worth it.I wish the set had more bonuses that help the hunter(+1% crit or chance to hit) instead of the pet bonuses,but still glad I completed the set.As far as I have seen I am the only hunter wearing the complete tier .5 set on my realm.Honestly there are only 2 real hard parts of the quest line.45 minute Strat Ud run and killing Valthalak.The 45 minute run is so hard coz it takes a full instance of no mistakes while you're rushing through mob after mob.It took me about 12 tries(came within 1 minute a couple times)to complete the run,but that was with PUGs(had 3 of the same guys all runs).We never had a warrior in group either,my turtle tanked Baron.Baron is the easy part,getting there before the timer expires is the hard part.

Back to the point.I have had tons of people comment on my gear coz they all know what I had to do to complete the set.Any hunter in a big guild can get other gear drops even if they suck coz the others in the guild did most of the work and could make up for their adequate abilities.The same can not be said for someone that did all the quests and completed their set.The 45 minute run has to be done with only a 5 man party,and since 1 has to be a healer only,that only leaves 4 to fight all the mobs at a frantic pace.There isn't enough people to make up for adequate abilities in any class.I personally am glad the 45 min run was so hard.It stops all poor/average players from getting their tier .5 gear set and let's everyone else know who the best players are in each class by seeing the set they have earned.The set bonuses for 4% chance to regain 200 mana and +40 AP is awesome,the +200 mana has helped alot more than thought it would and +40 AP is great for any DPS class.All in all,i recommend completing the set.Not only for the extra damage you will do from now on,but from the respect you will gain from others that can't complete the quests and decide to choose a easier gear set coz they aren't good enough to earn this set.

BTW,im 0/31/20 speced and noone out dps me in 5,10 or 20 man raids,not even the epic geared mages/rogues or crit/survival speced hunters that chose the easier gear set.With 31 marks spec I still have well over 400 agi and 1250 RAP unbuffed.And thats with a neck that has no agi and a ring that has only stam and int.When I finally get a couple better items I will be getting close to 500 agility.So,you don't need lightning reflexes to have great agility,just great gear from lots of time and hard work.If you're not capable or it seems like it's too hard to complete the tier .5 set quest line,then most likely you need to practice more with your character so when you do get it,you will be good enough to wear it.Also,just a side note,I'm in a 350+ man guild now and I'm 1 of 2 people in entire guild that has completed the quest line and has the complete tier .5 set.The other is a rogue that everyone has tons of respect for also coz we all see the set he wears and know how good of a player he is.

DEWD this stuff is hard to get! i remember when beaststalker's mantle pants and cap were tough, but this is crazy!

Its not efing worth it to get everything on the .5 set i mean, if you say you spend months of time to get crudddy .5 set WHEN you can use that time playing everyday get into a raid guild do and MC over and over again to get giantstalker set. Its a crap load better and no more trying to gouge your eye out because the quests are so damned tedious.

Get the 1st three of the set, easiest ones to get for the 1st half of the bounses and then just use beastalker for the other bounses. It evens out.

Doing MC to get Giantstalker gives you experience in that instance and you also get OTHEr great loot when not getting the giantstlalker.

think about it a bit more.

.5 set isnt uber to be fought over

these are only by the tiniest amount better than beaststalker shoulders and as far as i am in the quest u have to pay 20g+ to get ne werte so i wouldnt pay 10g for what these r worth

Wear them until you get Bone Golem if you want, but you don't do the chain for the blue pieces, you do it for the purples.

ok ive seen that only some of the parts are better than DM and other stuff, this are NOT.

i mean look at Bone Golem Shoulders and check out the difference

This is a reward from completing 告别安泰恩 / 告别安泰恩. (Although can't confirm this myself yet, other quests in the chain award the shoulder piece in addition to the boots and pants and other online database resources indicate that this is indeed true.)
