Note on the screenshot: the robe he is wearing is not the primal mooncloth robe, even though it looks like it matches.
The belt he has on is the primal mooncloth belt though.

Very good healing and mana regen, but a bit too squishy for my taste.

Just a note on these when worn with the Primal Mooncloth robe as the 6mp5 from the shoulders appears to go missing when equipped at the same time as the robe. I tested this out with a variety of gear and the problem only occurs when wearing these two pieces of the set.
When wearing both individually the bonuses do go on, but when adding shoulders when wearing robe my total mp5 only goes up by 1 (from the spirit). It could be either the mp5 from the shoulders going missing or the 6mp5 enchant I have on my robe.
Alternatively it could just be a bug with WoW's UI displaying the information incorrectly. The 'bug' does only occur with these 2 items. I reported it to a GM who told me it is a known issue most likely with the shoulders.

Any ideas as to why this is the only unsocketed item in this set?

Yes, because all other craftable epic shoulders have sockets on them!

Isn't it a bit odd that this dosen't have sockets?
All the other epic 3 piece tailoring set items have two sockets each, giving shadoweave and spellfire 6 sockets total, but mooncloth only has 4?

It's advisable to wait to make this piece when your tailoring is past 370. That way you're ensured a skillup.

Just a fun fact - the undead character on the image you see when zoning in Eastern Kingdoms is wearing these shoulders.
Another option could be
Mantle of Prophecy
which look the same. These are more likely to be the shoulders she is wearing as they are pre-BC.

Just a comment on the modeling of the Primal Mooncloth Shoulders. On my dwarf, the two parts that appear behind the heads of the undead (as seen in the screenshots) do not appear when worn on my dwarf. I have tried removing all but the Primal Mooncloth Shoulders; with patch 3.02 I even got a haircut (to bald); even switched the flag of Show Helm / Show Cloak... Nothing seems to help.
I have submitted a screenshot of my dwarf for reference.
Any Ideas?

With all due respect, you really need to learn about itemization for the priest class then. O-o With the set bonus these are equivalent to tier 5 in many ways. The shoulders themselves are the weakest part of the set, but the set bonus alone adds about 25mp5 in a raiding environment. I find myself switching these in, in place of my tier 5 in long fights because of that fact. O_o The belt and the chest piece are both amazing pieces that you won't find upgrades until SSC/TK level, of which the upgrades are quite marginal. These are a very worthwhile investment. The whole set costs max around 1k G and it will last you a very long time. That set bonus is VERY difficult to break when balancing gear.

Is there a good reason why all 3 pieces of the other tailoring sets have sockets and these shoulders don't?
评论来自
Allakhazam
In fact... not having socket sucks, but sorry to disagree, this is far better them the Hallowed ones... This ones have 92 healing+ and the hallowed only have 42! Ok, the hallowed have more spirit+, but this ones only have -6 spirit+. The only clear advantage hallowed has is thay they have stamina bonus... but this ones have restoration of mana... After this i would choose Primal Mooncloth Shoulders as my main equipment and the hallowed secondary.
But maybe all depends from the rest of ya gear...

It says 'Requires Mooncloth Tailoring' making this very nice set of items only useful to Mooncloth Tailors. 375 tailoring and specialization in mooncloth needed to equip these.

This is for druids too, tribal LW set isn't good for healing! So, druids, go and level your Tailoring!

balance druids wear cloth because there isnt a very good selection of spell damage gear in leather. also if they are moonkin they get a %400 armor increase which makes cloth even that much more appealing.
评论来自
Thottbot
If a druid goes through the effort to make this, then whats your problem?
They can make full use of it so its fine.
评论来自
Thottbot
jeez you guys making such a big deal over it... Druids (Resto/Balance) were cloth! these are the best healing pieces in the game (could get some with more stats but healing wise i mean) and they are MADE (not droped in a super 40man raid boss) so 1) if you can make them 2) you have nothing better... Why not use them?
评论来自
Thottbot
Its kind of funny that the spellfire and shadow sets you can socket all three pieces, yet this shoulder piece there are no sockets
评论来自
Thottbot
I HIGHLY agree with that last comment. Having NO sockets kinda takes the "EPIC"ness right out of it. weak blizz, weak. You can do better.

Well, as for druids use of cloth or leather, ive got another one for you.
Im a paladin with soon the entire set, the two I've got is rocking compared to my Blacksmith set for healing.
Of course I lack a bit of armor (...) but if I am a healer in a instance I want to spam quick n powerfull.
It works great! :)

I can't understand why people is fighting about if druids can use it or not. It's a crafted item, it's not like they get it from a boss in balck temple, come on!

I'm not against druids using this set, but I'd just like to point out that the druid's Windhawk set is better for a resto druid than the Primal Mooncloth set.
https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=29522/风鹰胸甲
Druid's do not need mana regen as much as a priest or paladin does. Also the set has a bonus to healing then a second bonus to spell dmg AND healing so it stacks and you still get a nice bonus of healing + you gain stam/int/spirit and spirit is a key to a druids healing in tree form.

Introduction
Well, to start off, there are three Tailoring Specs. Spellfire, Frozen Shadoweave, and Primal Mooncloth. Each for diffrent classes/specs. They can be learned in Shatt city, southeast? of the Horde battlemasters.
Spellfire - Mostly used by Fire/Arcane mages, but also good for Destro Warlocks. The set consists of:
Robes
,
Gloves
, and a
Belt
.
Frozen Shadoweave - Used by Affliction Warlocks, Shadow Priests, and Frost Mages. The set consists of:
Robes
,
Sholders
, and
Boots
.
Primal Mooncloth - Mostly used by Holy Priests, and maybe Resto Druids? I don't know alot of this set. The set consists of:
Robes
,
Sholders
, and a
Belt
.
The first time you spec into one of the sets, its free. But every other time you switch, it costs 150g.
Spellfire Set
To make Spellfire Robes you'll need...
Spellcloth x14
Primal Fire x16
Netherweb Spider Silk x4
To make the Spellfire Gloves you'll need...
Spellcloth x8
Primal Fire x12
Netherweb Spider Silk x2
To make the Spellfire Belt you'll need...

Netherweb Spider Silk x2
For JUST the spell cloth x26 you'll need at least...

So in total, you'll need...

Netherweave x468 or 24 Stacks
Arcane Dust x52
Netherweb Spider Silk x8
For the Primal Fire, I would suggest farming the Fire Elementals in Negrand on Elemental Plateau.
For the Primal Mana, I would suggest farming Mana Seekers and Mageslayers at Wizard's Row in Kirin'Var village in Netherstorm
For the Netherweave, I would suggest farming some other primal, I.E Primal Fire or Water, selling them, then buying the Netherweave off the AH with that gold.
For the Arcane dust, you could use the method I suggested for the Netherweave, or if your an enchanter, run lots of instances and DE gear you get, or buy cheep greens/blues off the AH and DE them into Arcane Dust.
For the Spidersilk I would suggest going to The Black Morass aka The Dark Portal in Caverns of Time and farm the spiders there. Just don't get close to Medivh

Primal Water x38
Primal Fire x26
Primal Shadow x26

Arcane Dust x52
Netherweb Spider Silk x8
For the Primal Water, I would suggest farming the Eel's in the lake outside of Shatt, or the Water Elementals in Skittis
For the Primal Fire, I would suggest farming the Fire Elementals in Negrand on Elemental Plateau.
For the Primal Shadow, I would suggest going to Pools of Aggonar in Hellfire Pen. and kill Terrorfiends for them.

Ive wrestled with this for months in my head and ive decided that the killer + healing just isnt worth it. a Complete mooncloth set really does make a priest a glass healer.
WTB a little stam or maybe a socket or two!
Go for the Tier 4 healies instead, priests, imo.

Im a lvl 70 Resto druid and have contemplated the thought of making the primal set cause its cloth. I have the whole moonglade set and then realised that the primal may b cloth but it brings my bonus healing up dramatically. As they have said b4 and i have resarched the primal set is really the best crafed healing set regardless of cloth. I have made the belt and now are in the process of making the shoulders. I recommend all healing druids to do it and see the diff in ur healing when u do :P
