Iv ran Rend 10 times total and have yet to even see these drop meaning they are a very unlikely drop but with enough luck Rend will drop them for you on the first run.

I was in UBRS and rend finally droped the valor shoulders i had already talked to the whole group about rolling for them and told pallys not to cause it wasnt there class set. they all agreed with me and we moved foward. well when rend droped the spaulders of valor i rolled need and everyone passed except one pally who rolled need. he ended up winning them and said i thought they where a upgrade and didnt see the name of them.

so the purpose of valor isnt for pallys its for warriors so stick to your classes armor please.

The shoulders do still drop off Rend

I did Rend today but right before Rend came out i disconnected. But by the time i got back they had killed Rend and another warrior had gotten the shoulders.

So i havent actually gotten the shoulders but i do know they still drop off Rend.

The bottom line on whether paladins should be able to roll on Valor set items is easy to determine and it's something I have not seen mentioned on any of the threads for the 8 Valor pieces (although I must admit I have not read every post on all 8 threads). The bottom line is this: The Valor set upgrades into the Heroism set through a series of quests obtained in Orgrimmar if you're Horde and either Ironforge or Stormwind if you're alliance. Paladins CAN NOT receive these quests. If a Paladin goes to get his or her upgrade quest they reveive the quest for the Lightforge set (and I apologize for not knowing what that upgrades to but I'm on Horde side 60 warrior). THAT is the bottom line. Yes, a paladin can equip any of the pieces of the valor set, but they can not get the full usefulness out of them that a warrior can. Therefore, if you are in a group and a piece of Valor armor drops it should go to a warrior first and if none of the warriors present needs it then and ONLY then should a paladin be allowed to roll on it. End of story, thank you for playing.

Dropped on my first UBRS run. Pally tried to roll, but ML gave it to me anyway.

Later, The Beast dropped the Lightforge shoulders. We both left happy ^_^

i've ran rend 21 times now and i've not even seen it omg. if it drops sooner or later and someon wins over me in rolling im about going to commit suicide. i'm just glad i'm not part of the alliance where the lolladins are friggin ninja looting the valor items. its like warriors taking a lightforge item from a lolladin :)

Got them on my first run at lvl 58 (as warrior ofc)...guess i was lucky :D

I've been to UBRS 12 times, shoulders have not dropped, i have gotten almost everything in there for a warrior, the draconian deflector, plate wrist, plate leggings, valor chest, dal rends set, brilliant chromatic scales. But I have neva seen valor shoulders drop, i keep getting out rolled on fire resistant plate helm and no valor, I had to take lightforge spaulders instead, which are off 'the beast'. Blizzard should up rate the dropping percentage.

I was running UBRS and I was the only tank because the GL thought we had enough casters to make up for lost tanks well in the start we did ok then one left right before rend so we got another warrior. I had been there for the entire raid so far and when Valor Shoulders drops the GL doesn't even wait for rolls and gives them to the warrior who just came. He tells me " is in are guild and does constant runs with us so I feel he needs them more then you, I'm sorry man you can get that shieldy thing if you want." The person who got them was AH epiced out and had much better shoulders and no valor on currently. I have no idea why he would get them instead of me even though I had been there the entire time

Why do pallas think this is for them? its better suited for warriors. i woz in UBRS last night when it droped for the first time for me. I woz so happy so i needed straight. Then the 2 pallys in the group needed as well i woz so pissed off, and of course 1 of the pallys won the roll. the pallys didnt hav none of the valor set and i only need 3 more parts to complete it.

So please pallys if there is a warrior there ask them if they want it or not before you go needing on it.

okay i have a few lvl 60 chars

ive done ubrs full for about 140 times, (no %^&*) if not alot more, i stopped counting at the 100 :P

and i NEVER seen em drop ONCE on any of my charters?,

bad lucky charm for valor shoulders? hm?

Well since he was trying for so long and the patch was not out meaning he could have gotten valor easier. And for many of us warriors who are trying to get valor, we are trying to do it before 60 so we do not look like a nub when we get into final game instances.

I got those nice shoulders in my first run at 58......but i did it with 4 70lvl friends of mine and i was the only one wearing plate. I m lucky because i got em....but because there was no freekin noob Blood Elf (Blood ninja guy) need em ;)

Ive been posting 50s twink gear(warriors) for ahwile but im stumped on shoulders.I know its not Stockade paulders(gay) and im not sure whether it is those bulkly iron spaulders....Someone please put their input?

Im 70 so it doesn't matter but anyway, my warrior friend wanted them so i ran him with 3 other 70's some paladin kept on nagging to get in, so we let him in, we down Rend and they drop warrior rolls need and the paladin says those look so kool and he is wearing lightforge spaulders, he fukn needs and wins.

MORAL=Stick to your own fukn class

For obtainable shouldrs, Wyrmslayer are the best for dps warriors from level 46 until the PvP shoulders at level 60. Spaulders of Valor are just not realistically obtainable anymore. A follow up question: are any of the level 60 epic shoulders realistically obtainable since the Burning Crusade expansion?

This is a great set if you dont have the BC but if you do really dont waist your time unless you want to look cool. But really love this set.

i have a war and i know that now with the bc there is lots of better armor, but i thought, for the heck of it, y not just COLLECT the valor set(and the other tiers) for fun? Unfortunately...I have run all the places that drop the pieces and all ive gotten are the dang bracers!

well they where initiatly intended to be lvl 60 end-game schoulders for Molten Core attunement and warriors could get an upgrade for these if they take the quest and got the 3 pieces needed and so on but pally's got there own set and they see the valor schoulders drop and say in thereselfs let me fricking ninja that *!@# of that warrior piss off noobs warrior gear end of story get lightforge schoulders pub-beer-i gay pally's

I've seen some paladins with pieces of Valor set... especially with these shoulderguards... and it makes me feel sick. We warriors leave you and your Lightforge alone , so do us a favor, and do not even consider having these. Ever. Please. Even if there was no warrior with you when these were found (which I think is very unlikely), it's just plain WRONG. Argh.

6? Ive been there 30+ times, not seen a single Valor drop, Ive seen pretty much everything drop of rend, seen both the Dal rend mainhand and offhand 3 times each and eye of rend pretty much every time, whic hhave a similar drop rate. Ive even been forced ot settle for Lightforge spaulders as they have dropped about 5 times. Maybe he has a grudge against me or something? :P Now Im a fairly casual player, so if these dont drop soon Im gonna give up on them cos its getting painful as Im usually master looter :(

My first run in UBRS and they dropped with Doomsaw. I got the Spaulders and the other warrior got Doomsaw. So now up to 4 out of the set and looking foward to try and get the rest.

Took me 40 runs before i saw them, last blue i saw drop from rend. Always saw the dodge legs and the 1% crit bracers.

I've been on about 83 UBRS runs and have yet to even see the spaulders drop. Either the drop rate is even lower than shown, or God hates me. I have my chestpiece already, and the drop rate on that is lower than the spaulders.

I went on my first UBRS run (as a level 55), and by the time we got to Rend, 3 other members had dropped from the raid. Anyways, we kill Rend and me and one other warrior roll for it and I win. Talk about lucky....

I have gone 13 times to Ubrs and I have not seen them to go out, my girlfriendwas the 1 º time and they went out for her, I sad , because I work for it, I look for group, have had to pay even 15 golds in order that open the door, and my girlfriend without seeking neither for group or anything not to fight for it, they go out for the first one, the life is unjust. Why do you think people?

Ok so my First two runs of UBRS we get up to Drakki but get wiped on him, and there where no valor drops so I was a bit annoyed but i knew the odds of them dropping. on my third run we down Rend but no valor drops so we get to Drakki and this time we kill him he drops Valor breastplate (which I win the roll for) and draconian deflector which i get because the other Warrior has it already so I am really happy and things can't get much better but then on my 4th run we get to rend and kill him and he only goes and drops spaulders of valor which i get. so i guess i am pretty lucky 3great drops on 4 runs :).

I've been UBRS about 30 times, they dropped for me last nite! I was Exstastic! I got my Chest piece of Drakki on my first ever run, got the shield off drakki the 2nd run, got the pole arm off Rend and the Helm of the Gyth on my 3rd...and since then...nought....it's worth it tho...damn those shoulders of sexy :P

dude on my 3rd ubrs run i got these outrolled 2 other warriors at lvl 57...these and the polearm he drops dropped...i outrolled the 2 other warriors on this too they were pissed...it was so sick though and the people who have ran this over 20 times...u need a life ahahahhaa

lol these dropped on my first EVER 10 man instance run we did well and only wiped once in the end 1 warrior rolled against me my roll 67 his 66 ... my heart was soaring though i felt REALLY sorry for the other guy :) cant believe my luck really considering how many runs alot of people have done to get this.

we went in with 15 and there were 3 warriors, i won it with a 95 and the master looter "accidently" gave it to another guy....and whats worse it was a 55 druid! i am pissed. i will prolly never see the spaulders again!

These never drop for me. I have run ubrs at least 20 times. I hit it up constantly. I didn't even find a doomsaw until my 17th run, of which I won it. :) I see everyone else wearing these, but they never drop. I may be forced to buy the Stockade Pauldrons. I'm still using the Big Bad Pauldrons and thats not what u want going into MC.

guild run needed a spot in ubrs, so i went along as a 55 warrior, and so we got to rend, and killed him he drops these and some other garbage that i didn't even care about, so i let one of the other warriors roll first and OMG HE ROLLS A....... ONE. so im kinda happy and I ROLL A....... ONE. so we re roll again. and he rolls a 20 and i roll a 63. good game

ive done like 16 trips into UBRS and nothing for me, not even shield, but doesnt matter.

the battleborn bracers dropped like 6 times and tehy almost have the same drop rates as the shoulders... my friend went 5 times into UBRS and 3 times dropped shoulders! damn even gyth didnt drop helm ^^

I got my valor shoudlers after 20 runs. It was the first time they ever dropped when I ran UBRS. I hit lvl 60, got the valor shoudlders, and got my epic mount all in one day. Good luck on trying to get them. Now it is time to try to kill Drakk so I can get my shield.

These drop rates have got to be off...

I've offed Rend at least 20 times now, and Dragonrider, Feralsurge, Bonespike, and Battleborn have all dropped at least twice, and the all have lower rates. Hell, he even dropped both his sword once. Rend hates me or something.

I have been trying to get these for a long time and have not succeeded.

One time a group needed a replacement tank, and when i was flying in to Kargath they were killing Rend, and they dropped.

I was really pissed, these have never dropped and I wasn't there. Worst part is no one even needed them.
