Night Elf Hunters and Orc Hunters start out with the ability to use bows. Dwarven, Tauren, and Troll Hunters can learn to use Bows from a Weapon Master.

Rogues and Warriors can also learn to use bows from a Weapon Master, with the exception of those who happen to be gnomes. Gnomes cannot learn to use Bows.

Also of note, Trolls get a +1% chance to critically strike with Bows via a racial ability.

Gnomes can learn how to use Bows. Weapon skills aren't limited to the race of the character at this time. Maybe in the future when they put in Totems and Glaives they will but, for now its not.

The easiest way to improve your ranged weapon skill with a hunter is spamming Serpent sting rank 1 on a mob. My friend did it when he got his bow from zg, and he got from 56 to 300 during the zg run.

so the only way ur attack speed changes is if u hav a quiver with more speed %?

Yes. It's the only way for warriors to improve their shooting speed. The biggest bonus you can get from a quiver/ammo bag is 15%.

Speed and Crit Chance are the life blood of any Hunter. These two things are what make us better than Warriors, that and the fact we have a Tank that actually does what we want without whining or cutting into our Loot. Hunters are here to take up the slack that Warriors can't or won't deal with.

The Bow is one of the 5 styles of Ranged Weapon. The other 4 are Thrown, Wand, Crossbow, and Gun. The Bow is used by the more natural races, like both types of Elf, as well as the Troll. The main reason for this is that these races lived in the forests (and in the case of the Troll, the jungle). They carved their own Bows, and have grown in skill over time. Even though they now have discovered the Gun and Crossbow, they prefer to stick with what they know. These races also all can train as Hunters. When they do, they get the ability "Auto Shot" which will automatically fire your Bow at any enemy you right-click on. As for the other classes, they must manually fire, and also do not get abilities for their Bows.

you train bows on alliance side in darnasus
for horde i quess its orgrimmar becose in thunderbluff they teach guns and in undrcity if i remember correctly crossbows so look for orgrimmar

Darnassus is the city on Teldrassil, the Night Elf island north of Kalimdor. You get there from Auberdine in Darkshore. You can reach Auberdine by boat from Menethil Harbor.

I find the guns easier to both upgrade your own ammo and the weapon if you've an enginnner willing to help or are your self.

the ammo is easily better then commericlay available ammo and the guns it yileds are wonderful as well
i wish theyd make a bowyer skill for the game so one could manufacture there own bows and arrows.

i just recently made a rogue & i wanted to know if it is better to have the bow skill or the gun skill. right now i have the thrown skill b/ it seems really boring to me right now.

I'm a level 10 Dwarf Warrior and I can't buy a gun. Do I have to be a certain level? Or skill?

If ur a horde there is a weapon trainer in eversong woods (ruins of silvermoon) thats where i got mine. I had the same problem i had a lvl 36 character rogue w/a bow and a lvl 17 character w/out one finally figured out why, i trained for it before but forgot all about it.

i am also a noob to warriors and i want to know. is it realy worth it to go all the way to darnassus when you can you get a crossbow thats so close! please reply

Any race can use a bow/gun/crossbow. Only class limits what you can use. No class lets you use one of these three and not the others. Bows tend to be a more middle range weapon for speed, with crossbows being slowest and guns being fastest, with exceptions.

Horde train for these in Undercity, or Orgrimmar for guns (maybe). Darnassus for Alliance, I think. Never had an alliance hunter...

There is no "better" weapon type, weapons of each type will have similar dps at similar levels, and at the end game they're almost exactly the same stats. It's merely preference of ammo, availability, function, etc. Personally, I like bows since the ammo can be shared with a crossbow if a good one drops.

At Buliwyf Sonehand in Ironforge (61,89) as a Warrior you can train Fist Weapons, Guns and Two-Handed Maces. Bixi Wobblebonk at the same place give you Crossbows, Daggers and Thrown.
