Don't let the mana cost of prayer of healing intimidate you. It is one of the strongest repeatable AoE heals in the game. Each heal on each target can crit independently, and those crits can proc inspiration.

Say you are in a party with a warrior, hunter (and pet), lock (and pet), and mage. If each heal crits for 2k (a reasonable number with 900 healing, but still ideal), this spell can heal for 14k health total. Even if the heal doesn't crit on anyone, 10k healing is a reasonable expectation.
