i guess its a good PvE fight opener..crap damage, but the most useful spell if u did roots on him... if u have imp.starfire , witzh a stun chance it rocks...

this is mainly used for rooting, or at least i find that. keep in mind u only root when the enemy runs off, so naturally they have low hp. even without specing this up its still effective at taking out those last hp.

I usually starts at a mob with starfire, then root before it comes closer to me. Then dot him up with moonfire and insect swarm and shoots on him with starfires, when root is over I got nature's grasp and walks away from him. And finish of with wrath.

with improved roots, you can usually starfire two or three times before mob becomes unrooted.

Cause of the time zone I'm in raiding with higher lvl guilds is inconveniant, my guild raids ZG but we're still trying to gear up and get better attendances etc. So I can't raid AQ so I just bought the book. Was 50g :(, but thats alot better than the 300+ gold everyone else expects for the AQ books. So I am still happy wth the buy.

My highest SF crit atm is 1688, with 115 spell dmg, moonfury, and DIE (+100 spell dmg).

My best crit with this is 1587 so far, I only have like feralheart gloves/bracers and cenarion belt (bought it). That guy up there who said 1300 with full balance spec clearly had the wrong gear, I crit for 1300 with my healing gear on.

I've seen a balance druid crit a rogue for 2700 with his starfire before in AB. The druid had about +400 spelldmg and also included a staff of shadowflame.

Half the time i am on my druid i can kill a mage before he even has time to cast, if a druid well places his treants and then starfires a mage then he is toast, the only thing this wont work on is warlocks, warriors, other druids and priests.

Nice place to give it a try is AV, Just wanna point something out to some druids, don't spam starfire because you do less damage and use more mana than if you did wrath and also don't bother rooting a mage, he'll kill you lol.

ahem okay, i can see u do easy kill a mage that is AFK, AMAZING actually. hmm 2 arcane Xplosion and trees are dead and silence ur spellcast, 1 fireball + fire blast. blast wave + dragons breath and ur dead. if not, a scorch will kill ya

yea, all you mages need to get out of here. . .or else my moonkin will sit on you. . .besides, if i know i'm going up against mages, i'd just drink my absorb/resist pots for fire/ice. . .when you guys brag about epic mages killing green whatevers, that doesn't impress me. . .besides, mages turn to @#$% once they take on more then a couple mobs. . .my sexy moonkin can keep casting and stomp on whatever gets in her way. . .

This is nice in PvP. With 30% crit you got a good chance to one shot about anyone. I've seen 6k crits with PI in WSG. Just hide in a bush, or shadow meld. KABUME one more HK.

Yogus, i explained what i do in AV, i never said i shoot people in the back, i leave that to the mages who need to, a druid can easily outdo a mage, why? can hit high, can stun, can use treants to interrupt casts and can heal. It makes sense that the druid would win, everytime someone here says "a druid can beat a mage" you hurl abuse at them, stop acting like you're a WoW player, we know you're just an idiot

I have a 60 Balance Druid with +317 Spell damage currently, I can sometimes 1 shot ppl in BG's with my starfire, it normally crits around 2,300 -over 1000 non crit every time.

My gear isnt all that hot with mostly BRD Blues, 3 BC greens, and epic WSG Cloth bracers, soon to have HWL Spellblade which should bring spell dmg to around 380.

I know I cant out DPS a equally geared, skilled mage, but I know my class and play it well - So I can outnuke alot of mages simply because they arent good players. Rogues are easy to out DPS, as long they arent grossly outmatching my gear.

Open with Starfire, Moonfire, Insect swarm, Wrath spam... 5-600 Damage a hit with Wrath, 1.5 sec cast time, if it crits(15% Crit chance) it hits around 1000+, then next cast time is 1 sec on wrath, so I can throw down some good DPS considering I have DoT's active at the same time.

Druids can be hella good, you just have to gear for a specific type of play, and really try at it.

yogus, you don't know what you're talking about. . .so quit posting about your mage, hunter, warlock, and all your other toons that don't really exist :P. . .there's really no class that excels at stopping a druid since we're so versatile. . .and you never know what spec you're stepping in the ring with. . .the only thing that can stop a good druid is an even better player/class to counter their style. . .quit thinking that blink and mana shield will save you. . .the treants will almost immediately break mana shield and then you're nothing but a soft target that can be shot out with a few moonfires. . .hunter's and warlocks are the same fight, just root their pet, summon treants and go to work on them at close range using instant casts and wrath, breaking movement impairments or fears with form changes or charm. . .starfire is an excellent surprise spell if you get the opprotunity and time to use it. . .but don't try and compare shadow-bolt to starfire. . .it's apples and oranges buddy. . .roll a balance druid like i did, learn it all. . .and then come back to talk. . .you'll be smiling about how much starfire has helped you win fights. . .

lol still good tho for a balance druid... and they are not counting the buff up talents in balance so this would probably do like 700 dmg or so.
