Is it just me, or is the formula shown in the website's tooltip flawed?
Consider this rogue with 2000 AP. According to the formula given, his Eviscerate damage would be:

1285 - 1405
Which leads us to a negative damage of -120 hit points.
And it doesn't matter what his AP would be, because it is multiplied by .15 in both terms, so it makes no difference.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

unfortunately his Ability suffers a lot from resilience and armor. When the tooltip says ~1150 Damage, it can actually CRIT for 1150 damage, since resilience really makes this ability less useful. Not saying its worthless, but seeing on Druids "Eviscerate" , from each energy point they gain more damage, and in my opinion, that would be nice to give Eviscerate too.

I cant really decide what is better to use in raids...(eviscerate or envenom or rupture when malice is up?)I have gone crazy by calculating dps etc testing specs and all that stuff...I also hear and see many different opinions about what is better in raids...Can any1 say what is the best spec and what is better in dps to use in raids with some proof plx? Basicly i play the common 19/42/0 swords with 2 @ resist stun & fear effects which is quite good in some fights (aka archimonde where the main goal is to avoid the fire when u getting feared)Anyways i play only with eviscerate as a finishing move (since i have the bonus from T5) shiv to refresh or add deadly poison stacks and ss ofc...I am confused...bah any suggestions? :P

While it may be true that Eviscerate used to hit harder back in the day, I don’t think it’s underpowered. It still has its uses in PvP and PvE (Finishing someone/something off ; while Rupture and Slice’n’Dice is already up ; Dealing damage and still being able to gouge/blind etc…)
Additionaly, with the right spec this can still hit like a truck:
On a target with Exposed Armor (0 armor on cloth/leather targets), with a 19/0/42 or similar Shadow Step spec a critical Eviscerate on a low health target can hit for about 5,000 damage, making it as effective as a 35% Execute in that context.
This can be achieved with 2000 base attack power + Improved Eviscerate (+15%) + Dirty Deeds (+20%) + Shadowstep (+20%) + Critical Strike (+100%)
1405 Base damage * 1,15 * 1,20 * 1,20 * 2,0 = 4,700
The situation isn’t even that uncommon. If your target is low on health and tries to run away, you can Shadowstep and finish the job in a quite impressive way doing this…

I killed a lock with 6500 hp in 4 seconds with:
Premeditation->Shadowstep->Ambush->Vanish->Ambush->Eviscerate.....
pretty easy
Yeah that's great if you like wasting a whole vanish to kill a pansy lock.
I can kill a lock as Muti or Combat (if I get opener) is ten or less seconds.
Why not wait a few seconds and NOT blow all your important cooldowns?
Just something to think about...
Yeah Eviscerate should ignore armor or act like execute ... Its almost useless now that we have resilience.
Or does blizz intend it to be a grinding PvE type finisher? But "finisher" implies its the end of the battle. I have 5 combo points before the mob is below 50%...
If Blizz does we should see rupture get a ... Or at least have Muti not have the prerequisite of being behind the target before you mutilate... hmmmm....idk...

Seems to me the comments from Chanrek are kinda useless. To check if a url or something like that actually work (mostly when it comes to links you may click on), click preview on Add Comment and test it BEFORE posting xD

So, rogues get evis, an attack that deals a set damage. Druids get ferocious bite, an attack that deals set amount of dmg + w/e for each point of energy. Is that fair? Also, they nerfed rogues so they couldn't stunlock... went a little overboard though. They took away our +CP attacks gaining another CP on crit, but didn't take it from druids. And, to top it all off, they attack about as fast as us but don't suffer the -hit chance like us... A little unfair anyone think? On top of druids out doing us for dmg, they get faerie fire. We just can't win, can we?
