Appearently, it cures you of any amount of venom ticks that you might have on your self. Very useful item, especially if you are playing a class that doesn't have a "venom dispell" spell.

I'm rather sketchy on this items capability. As a new priest, I have no remove poison spells, so this stuff comes in hand, however, it seems to work on the venom used on my by the skopashi in Desolace. Skorpashi in that area are around level 30 ish, so I'm confused what defines the level of venom.

are these instant cast or do they require channeling like other bandages?

definately worth it bud. when u have to kill creatures that poison you the bandages save a ton of time. ex: when u finish off a creature that has poisoned you and u need to wait 4 ur health to recharge before moving on to the next creature/mob u would have to wait for the poison to wear off before u begin to gain health again.. these bandages save tons of time.

i know one of the trainers i went to was in SW inside of the castle and on the right side towards the back of the room.

You can usually find anti-venom sacks in Shimmering Flats which is right by 1000 needles. You can get them from scorpians that are about level 31-33. I think theirs about a 75% chance that they'll drop.

BTW, for those who asked or don't know where to find the small sacs for this item, if you click on the picture of the small sac above, it will take you to the locations of and names of all monsters that drop it.

Dispels all poison effects on you, or your target, and does not share a cooldown with anything (~~except other anti-venom~~ bugged and isn't sharing a cooldown). Essentially mandatory for leveling, and it is a cheap way to level up First Aid too.

There are a few options for removing poison effects for classes/races that don't have a poison removal ability (i.e. Dwarf racial 石像形态 or a Druid's 驱毒术, Shaman's 消毒术 or Paladin's 纯净术, etc):

抗毒药剂 (created by First Aid; learned from Trainer).
强力抗毒药剂 (created by First Aid; learned from 手册：强力抗毒药剂).
密林药剂 (dropped by certain NPCs in Stranglethorn Vale).
诺克赛恩之心 (dropped by 诺克赛恩).
滋补药剂 (created by Alchemy; learned from 荒芜之地的试剂 II or 荒芜之地的材料 II).

NOTE: 密林药剂 and 滋补药剂 start the Potion CD, whereas 抗毒药剂 and 强力抗毒药剂 do not, so they are the superior choice for removal. 诺克赛恩之心 requires you to give up a trinket slot, but if the poison was longer than the 30secs it takes to CD after you equip, you could keep it in your bags to remove poisons without needing to carry other items.

Presently in Classic this is bugged, and dispels poisons of all levels (instead of being capped to level 25). Additionally, it's not sharing a cooldown with 强力抗毒药剂, which is also bugged and dispels poisons of all levels. These bugs make anti-venom a very powerful consumable, especially in PvP.

It looks like rogues do have the most use for anti-venom.
When a rogue is poisoned by e.g. a spider or scorpion,
the poison breaks his stealth mode, so he cannot
sneak up on mobs anymore.

In stealth mode a rogue has access to skills not accessable outside
stealth mode, like a big melee attack from the back.

Very important thing to note, "poisons up to level 25" refers to the level of the POISON, not your character level or the level of the mob which applies the poison.

For example you can remove 枯萎毒药 from 恐蝎 even thought those mobs are level 33-34, because the poison is a "level 20 ability".

So this item will remain useful way longer than expected at first glance.
