I think the 2 sec off your blink cooldown is pretty useful considering your main goal is to get away from people trying to kill you in arena's.

I didn't like the looks at first either (it's better at an angle than head on), but it makes your eyes glow blue, which is pretty cool.

This is an excellent helm for a mage if you are hit capped.

While it may lack some of the intellect associated with more traditional raid helms or tier4+ pieces, the armor, stamina and sockets can really make up for it.

Socketing this with a Chaotic Skyfire Diamond Meta Gem, a spell damage Red gem ( Runed Crimson Spinel and Runed Ornate Ruby are easy to obtain ) and a Glyph of Power from Sha'tar revered status makes quite a formidable helm.

Easily worth the investment of a few weeks of arena.

just got it ;) quite an improvement from my old second sight helmet -.-
also...i put a +12 spelldamage red gem and +12 spelldamage + minor speed increase meta gem in it and "enchanted" it with glyph of power :>
i know there are better, much better meta gems but the one i mentioned was the cheapest to me, ill be replacing it when i get the money
EDIT:
the +12 red gem is from pvp vendor for 7k honor...and it gives me round 100 spelldamage ^^ i love it

Where do you find the +12 spelldamage red gems? I search and search the AH on my server and can never find them. Are they rare epic drops?

I use the same +12 spelldamage meta gem that you have ... I need to get some more soulshards to get another one.

12 spelldamage gem is buyable for bout 7k honor from pvp vender in sw. have fun with this thingy :P

*(i stacked stam in it, maybe ill regem to spelldamage later on.. :))

looks fine from the front but looking from beehind on a gnome mage (let the falming begin >_>) it looks like some brain cage :s

amazing looks.. finally female human mages get a crown style head piece to suit them... nice , nice.... after the totally disgusting s2 mage gear, they came up with something stylish. the visual effect is also awesome on this one....graz to those who get it.

whats even better with this piece is that it matches perfectly with s1 mage gear which now costs honor points.

This helmet fits the tall "sexy" races like humans, blood elves, and dranei. With a gnome however, it looks ^&*!@#ed IMO. I like hoods or cowls that are big and don't look &*!@#$ed like spellstrike.

Thottbot is telling me that this helm has a '10 minute cooldown' and 3 expendable charges, but i can see no <Use> bonus.

Can someone please explain?

need a rating from astleast 700 only,
so if u really really $%^&ed up ur rating,
create new team and u get 1500 rating again :p
