In terms of upgraded statistics from the pre-patch Gladiator's Ornamented Headcover, these will gain:
+5 Stamina
+1 Spell Critical Strike Rating
+9 Healing done by spells

Socket types, quantities, and bonuses all remain identical. Intellect and Resilience remain the same. This seems the weakest upgrade of this set, but perhaps we are expected to make the most of it because the meta socket gives it more versatility than some of the other pieces.

Also, this set is a dark version of Crystalforge, the Tier 5 paladin set. Enjoy :)

This is a great-looking helm, but I would recommend the Helmet of the Steadfast Champion (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32084) for all except serious PvPers. This helm has better stam and marginally better int, but the yellow socket and 12 mp5 on the Helmet beat this helm's red socket and 1% spell crit, IMO.

That said, this is a nice helm anyway, if heroics aren't an option for you.

As of Season 4, this now costs 14500 Honor and 30 AV Marks and is bought from Captain Dirgehammer in the Champion's Hall for Alliance and Lady Palanseer in the Hall of Legends for the Horde.
