Done strat about 20 times. It drops, after out rolling a priest, a mage out rolls me and i havn't seen it since. thanks blizzard for not making drops class specific. dumb#$%^s.

why wouldnt a mage roll on this? Considering u get 4 int less then the magisters but u get 6 stam more on the dreadmist belt.

This set is superior to the magisters... I guess I wouldn't roll against a warlock for it, but it kinda sucks that mages have to have worse stats. The bonuses suck for both, so hard to consider those a factor.

Whatever. I'm done. I'll stick to my stupid set and fantasize about the Netherwind set I'll never get...

Probably unrealistic to even hope for Arcanist set.

Actually, you know what, screw sets. I'm making my own set of crit gear!

We KNOW what the magister set bonuses are.
We KNOW they are not bad.

I agree that priests and mages could simply get stamina enchants if it's that big of a problem. Warlocks should get dibs on Dreadmist because it is our set. If a priest or mage really wants it, they can wait for a group with no warlocks that need it, or buy it.

The set gives these bonuses as more pieces are worn:
3: +4 Fire Resistance.
3: +4 Shadow Resistance.
Helps Preists and Warlocks.

5: Increases damage done to Demons by magical spells and effects by up to 14.
Damage done TOO demons? Who Cares? Priests fight Demons Warlocks fight demons. Same Diff.

6: Increases damage done by Shadow spells and effects by up to 21.
Helps Preists and Warlocks.

7: Restores 2 health every 5 sec.
Helps Preists and Warlocks.

8: Improves your chance to get a critical strike with Shadow spells by 2%.
Helps Preists and Warlocks.

So... How is this a Warlock set? Seriously?

Blizzard OBVIOSLY wanted it to be a Universal set as they removed the +pet damage.

It DOES NOT say Class: Warlock.
So GTFO if You think I'm gonna just let that pass. Even If I'm not Shadow specced ,when I'm bored of instances I'll re spec back to Shadow.

Look, I have a lock and a priest, and I'll be the first to admit that this is the only set that a lock would truly want. But just because it's the only set a lock would want, does that mean they're the only ones that should get it? No, of course not. You want money, does that mean that those that don't want money shouldn't get it? Same. Look, when I'm going with my priest into a high instance, I always ask if there's a warlock in the group. If there is I ask the leader to clear it with that warlock if it's ok that I roll on dreadmist...all dreadmist, whether they have it or not. If the lock isn't cool, I say I'm sorry and go for a different raid. Not like it's hard, priests are often invited before even saying they're interested.

So, in final...priests should be able to roll on dreadmist, way before a mage could...but every priest should be considerate to the lock in the group beforehand. Also, you can't say what Blizzard intentions are off what you think, it is only for a representative of Blizzard to say. You don't like that , then I suppose you'll have to get over it...

Okay, Warlocks have more than just two or three spells that crit. Immolate, Shadowburn, Soul Fire, Shadow Bolt, Conflagarate. I know, I have them!

If you are in a reasonable guild, non-warlocks will NOT roll on this, and it will be frowned upon if they do. If you are in a pick-up group, then there is very little you can do.

I admit, I wanted to roll on a piece or two of Devout, but I am not that kind of person. Others in my guild may have wanted to roll on Dreadmist, but they don't. It drops, they tell me to pick it the F up, let's move! Devout drops, priests roll. Magister drops, mages roll.

Simply put if you learn anything that is flamed in here, it's simple. If your with a Priest and there Shadow spec, which lets face it they all are. It's simple. Roll on all there gear. That way, when they complain your a lock just let them know that they can feel free to roll on your gear.

Wether it be for shadow priests or warlocks it sucks. Its stat based with no +damage untill you get the set bonus which only gives you +21 or so. Suggestion, dont waste your time with this set. Go to Dire Maul and get the +damage gear that drops there. My guild gave me the 3 pieces that are BOE and to be honest, im thinking of giving them back.

P.S. For anyone who reads this and doesnt know about Dire Maul here is a very brief synaposis.

Dire Maul is the place to go for gear instead of getting your set items. There are 3 sides, East, West, & North (East being the easiest, then its a toss up between West & North.....they are all simple). So while all the noobs are running endless UBRS, LBRS, Scholo, & Strath runs trying to get their lame set items, you can spend 1/4 of the time in Dire Maul get incredible gear and whoop the noobs asses who get their set. Look up the zone and phat loot.......you'll see what i mean.

Priests talented in Shadow in the higher end game are idiots...sorry priests, your job is to heal. Thats why you are picked for groups, to keep groups alive :)

You can "melt faces" when your solo leveling up, but at 60's, please, keep the tank alive kk thx

Obviously to even a mongoloid this gear is multi-faceted and has a lot of attributes suitable to both shadow priests and locks. There's no bonus on this that is warlock specific.

Obviously, each side is going to #$%^& and moan that they want it. This is where it's the responsibility of the raid leader to intervene. This is so easy to quell it's incredible. You take a look at both the shadow priest and the warlock. You take an estimation of the quality of their gear. If one is wearing greens and blues, and the other has multiple epics (whether this set or no), you give the item to who it would help more - the person with the crappier gear.

Someone with multiple epics trying to wrest this item away from another viable class in the running with lower quality gear is thinking of nobody but themselves, as group leader, fix this issue before it gets out of hand. This luck based system of rolling is so inane it's incredible.

That being said, who in their right minds would want to roll on this crap? In my world, spell power is king, and this set is woefully lacking in that regard. As the poster above stated, the bonuses from the attributes are pretty piddly when you actually get down and add them up. As a shadow priest, this stuff has nothing on my PvP set.

But hey, if someone wants to upgrade a ^&*!ty green of theirs, by all means, give them their fair kick at the cat.

I actually don't see why a destruction Spec warlock doesn't roll on the magister set. i mean the frost bonuses are wasted but he gets alot more out of the fire bonuses then they would they shadow bonus Dreadmist has.
But this set is definately good for a shadow priest as well as an AFFLICTION spec lock. besides Warlocks have higher survivability but Shadow Priest can silence and mind control. So don't say one class is better then the other.
Still tho. i hate having a shadow priest in a 5 man. they pull agro worse then a mage

Got healing gear and everything, but i do prefer to pvp as i dont have time for end game instances. Got 6/8 dreadmist atm (never rolled over a lock) and shadow form and it is consciderably enjoyable, we are probably the best pvp class when are gear is at best apart from a warlock, at best they own all.
I think them people out there that say priests should just heal know there speaking a bit of bull, the shadow tree wouldnt exist if we were surposed to just heal... are warriors surposed to be all defensive? shamans resto? druids resto? no not really. Them classes there i just mentioned also absolutly own in pvp with the right spec and equip.
tbh i do prefer damage gear but for now im sticking with sexy dreadmist, and instead of complaining about how this set is just ownage for you and how long uve been trying to get it for why dont you actually conscider getting some epics? they do exist and yes they do own all and with the right guild there not that actually hard to get. Mostly targetted at priests :S dreadmist dont help to get epics healing gear does.

its the warlock instance set, improved to Deathmist via class armor quests.
go the the warcraft homepage and look at the "high-level armor" page.

scroll the "class" tab to warlock
and you can choose dungeon set 1 (dreadmist)
or 2 (Deathmist)

Proof enough that these sets ARE classed, but not required to the particular class. IE anyone can use any grouping of pieces that their armor class allows.

also, the new bonuses for both sets... just blow.
i want my old dreadmist set back.. the one that took forever to gather.

i have a bunch of resons why dreadmist is warlock amour ok ill try and make this as painless as i can to all wannabe "warlocks" ( i mean of couse shadow priests and mages that take dreadmist not normal warlocks they rule)

1) warlocks are the Only class in W.O.W that can upgrade dreadmist to deathmist why would it be for the other classes if warlocks are the only class that can upgrade it ........ think about it.

2)Dreadmist is the best amour suited to warlocks not to mages or shadow priests Warlocks.

3)Just look at the amour sets on the W.O.W web site http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/items/armorsets/ it showes that dreadmist is warlock dungeon set 1.

4)how many shadow priests/mages do you see walking around with full dreadmist (i mean full dreadmist not gloves belt or bracers that you can buy at your local AH i mean the whole thing)I have not seen any have you ..........NO! couse dreadmist is for warlocks.

5)now time for me to be fair i did an experiment with 4 friends to prove that devout is better for priests than dreadmist...... me and 4 of my friends one a shadow priest went in search of dreadmist amour we got a fullset for my friend and a full set of devount took forever i mean forever got him to use both in a fight agaist 50 enemys each and he did like the fear effect of dreadmist but in the end he found that devount was much better for him and got even better when he upgraded it to Virtuous.
(will put a new message when the mage test is done so you can wait)

and that is my resons why dreadmist is for warlocks and after readding this and your a mage or shadow preist and think the amour is for you and need roll over a warlock who needs it i dare you to make a warlock for one full day try it out and tell me that again and if you do go f*** yourself you selfish S.O.B i hope your computer crashes your account gets disabled and can never buy another copy of W.O.W ever again and i close this by saying Warlock = dreadmist mage/shadow priest = Devout/Magister

I have been playing WoW and using Allakhazam for two years and never have I felt the urge to join so I could post anything...until now. YES! It is a warlock set and NO many things on the tier sets don't say calls specific, possibly cuz Blizzard thinks you're keen enough to look at what the different tier sets are. If you roll against a lock for this item when you're not a lock, you should be barred from playing the game. Oh, and to answer somebody earlier, no, it won't turn into Deathmist. To all ninjas out there, I hope somebody rolls need on your tier set.

I strongly agree...If a warlock in your party doesn't have this item...I don't think a priest should roll on it. I mean, each class has a set that is the best for that class, and this set is obviously intended for Warlocks.

If no lock in your party needs it, by all means, go for it =D But it is rather greedy to take another classes set item if one in your group needs it.

We all know it looks much cooler then the priest armor, but that isn't the point, hehe. The set bonuses from this are intended for a warlock.

I'm a mage and want this set(just 3 pieces, only bonus that helps), the stam and int balance on this set is so much better than magi, but if any of the set dropped and a lock needed it i wouldn't roll against them (even if i could).

Dreadmist is a dungeon set, not a tier set(you warlocks are posting in the tier one armor set forums). DEVOUT is the priest dungeon set. Get your facts straight instead of sitting on your lazy bums and complaining.

ALL TIER ONE/TWO/THREE ARMOR SETS are indeed CLASS SPECIFIC.
Any guild will screw you up for that. DONT ROLL ON TIER ARMOR SETS.
Allakhazam may be a nice site, but not everything is correct. This is why they update every couple days. Thus the reason why some tier one/two/three sets do not show up in class specific.

DUNGEON SETS ARE NOT CLASS SPECIFIC!
But priests=devout, dont be idiots and roll agaisnt a warlock=dreadmist who needs the set. SAME for mages=magister. You wont get the upgrade that the actual class would get (dungeon set two). And, priests, you give THEM the right to roll agianst you, so dont complain about warlocks/mages rolling against you for your own armor sets when you are doing the same thing to them.

I AM A PRIEST and HATE to hurt others by rolling agianst other classes, so dont attempt to twist this. Some of you are sitting on your lazy bums and believe every single thing that Allakhazam says. Not a good move.

Blizzard created those sets for those classes (SET BONUSES CONFIRM IT), they are intended for that class BUT they are not class specific. My point: Warlocks get the priority on Dreadmist, Mages get the priority on Magister, Priests get the priority on Devout. BUT if there is the rare case that no warlock/mage, warlock/priest, mage/priest are not in the group, then by all means roll. But you are idiots if you roll on something that gives set bonuses you dont need, especially if there IS a player that needs it.

I'm a Warlock and I am collecting this set. But I say if a piece drops and the warlock(s) in the group dont need it, then the priest should get it if said priest wants it. But if a Warlock and a Priest wants it, I say it shouldn't be a roll between Warlock and Priest. Warlocks have priority. Its a Warlock Set.

IMHO

this is a warlock set. Sure, if there are no warlocks that need whatever piece drops then it should be needed by other clothy casters, but warlocks should get first dibs on dreadmist drops, as priests should get first dibs on devout, mages with magisters, so on and so forth.

ALSO

Blizzard put in the tier 0.5 sets, which REQUIRE each classes 'specific' dungeon 1 set piece. IE. Warlocks NEED dreadmist bracers, gloves, belt, legs, boots, chest, shoulders and helm in order to turn in for the deathmist pieces.

If there is a shadow priest in group with a warlock and a dreadmist drops which the lock does not yet have, the lock should always be able to need it over the shadow priest. That should be that.

I play a warlock, and I bought two of the devout set, and can wear them just fine. Class-specific items can not be worn by other classes, which is why some items actually SAY the class right on them.
Set likes this are probably best suited for certain classes, but the fact that anyone else (with the Cloth proficiency) can wear them, shows they are most certainly not class-specific. I dont see why some of your are getting so angry about all this.

I'm a warlock and I don't stay in groups with somebody else rolling on the pieces I need but if I don't need it and the other warlocks (if any)don't need I don't mind having them roll aslong as they are gonna use it. So warlocks don't complain if you have the piece.

im a priest and im also collecting this set! its not just a warlock set! see the extra 2 % crith chance on shadowspells....then it's allso a shadow priest set...and forget about the extra dmg to pet...that's nothing! so its priest\lock and NOT a mage set

It's the lock set.
Plain and simple its the lock set, blizzard says it's the lock set because once locks have certain peices they can turn it in for their teir .5 sets, called deathmist.

This will and always shall be a warlock item...but if the warlocks all have it then sure the mages/priests can roll on these. I know I have a pair of Magister's gloves because the only mage we had left prior to them dropping and the priest and myself rolled on it because it was an upgrade for the both of us and I won!
