Channels a ray of frost at the target, slowing the target by 30% and dealing (7148% of Spell power) Frost damage to the target over 20 sec. The damage dealt is increased the longer the ray is channeled.

so 357% per sec for 20 sec at base and channeling for more than 1 sec increases it by some amount.

good thing frost has a pet.

I hope this thing can be cast with Ice Floes, otherwise it'll be pretty hard to get the full cast off.

I believe the inspiration for this spell comes from a Diablo III wizard ability with the same name, and a similar effect.

I used this spell to solo Knucklerot and Luzran at lvl 15. I'm sure it'll get nerfed before going live.

Drop a Rune of Power (50% more spell damage), pop Icy Veins (30% haste) and this will do lots of damage.
Note Ice flows works with Ray of frost so you can move.

This spell is a must have for leveling when you take on mob one by one at max range. And also because other talent are less good.

See a rare elite mob, just cast Icy Veins + Ray of Frost *o*
(add Time Warp against very big mob)

Every druid form cancel Ray effect.. every bladestorm and fart too. Spell need better repair.

Something interesting I noticed about this spell that's not immediately obvious is that you can restart the channel within 10 seconds of initial cast if you get interrupted or have to move. This also preserves the damage stacks you've built so far.

This makes the ability considerably easier to use than I thought it would be.

As tested by myself. This skill does NOT benefit from Ice Floes. Meaning you HAVE to stand still to use it.

It DOES however benefit from both Icy Veins, as well as Time Warp. Both effects can stack, allowing you to deal MASSIVE damage (So long as you manage to channel the entire spell).(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Intervencion##DELIM##Removed overuse of format.

Unlike other channeled spells, Haste does not decrease the duration of this ability, just the time between ticks. It will always be a 10-second channel.

Ray of Frost also has damage-loss prevention. You gain a 10-second buff when you cast this spell. If the target dies or the channel breaks, you can re-cast this spell (and keep its damage boost) until the buff completes.

Quick question:

I read the patch notes for the pre-patch to the Battle for Azeroth. My question is what was the purpose of Blizzard moving the Ray Of Frost talent from level 15 to level 100?
