There's a bug in this quest to get the three buffs. I was able to get the buff at the monument and in Maldraxxus, but even after finding the girl in Nagrand, I couldn't get the buff there. I removed the two accumulated buffs, and only then did the child version of Olgra grant me the buff in Nagrand, at the camp. I went back to Maldraxxus and got the second buff, but now, back at the monument, I can't get the third buff there.

Like apparently many others I didn't get the buff in Nagrand. I logged out and in again and got the second buff as soon as the torch went on.

Then in Maldaxxus the torch didn't signal at all. I tried relogging, I tried doing te WQ there (Battles Won Long Ago), nothing helped.
So I just equipped and unequipped the torch a few times by clicking it repeatedly and suddenly I got the third stack!

Northern Barrens, Maldraxxus then to Nagrand. It wouldn't work at Olgra, I went to the Inn at Riverside Post, logged out and back in. Walked over to Olgra and it worked

Using /reload worked for me to get the buff, after at first it didn't apply.
It's a bit quicker than relogging.

Unsure why the buff lasts 3 hours, but you can cancel it (by right-clicking) when you got the 3 stacks.
I tried this and confirmed that the torch in the catacombs is still lit up after cancelling the buff.

I visited Barrens first, then Nagrand and received somehow all 3 buffs without ever going to Maldraxxus. Also this shows "true" for me

I tried this a couple times with no luck, then waited for the mini patch to roll out. As Alliance on the evoker I've been playing since the end of SL, I got the one in the Barrens then Nagrand with no issues. Once I got to Maldraxxus, the torch lit on Olgra but I didn't get the buff. Ran away, extinguished my flame, reloaded, and relit the torch and it worked for me.

I have tried this two days in a row, all the lucky stuff in my bags, torch active, Detective title up ... I've tried in different orders, tried clicking on the torch a few times, re-loggging, reloading ... everything and still no buff. Does not come up as done when i run script. Is this completely bugged? Sucks to be stuck at the first step.

Went to Northern Barrens, Maldraxxus, then to Nagrand (Riverside Post). Nagrand would not give me the buff.
Tried reloading several times, walking away and reapproaching, activated/deactivated the torch.

Logging out and back in worked instantly. Was able to complete it - yay!

If you're like me, and don't have the Maldraxxus flight point unlocked because you never played Shadowlands, and there are no current SL M+ for the portals, you can just stand at one of the other two locations (Barrens or Nagrand) and relog to get the third stack. Once you log back in you should be at 3 stacks and completed the orb.
