This npc fades away after a few minutes. If you miss completing the quest you can find him inside the Exodar.

I never came across with a quest with an ending like this. You can feel the glory! I never take off this tabard!
I killed all the chickens with an Arcane Explosion! They were all there, it had to be done.

The chickens that come with "Cookie" respawn...at an extremely alarming rate. I killed three out of the ten with my hunters multi-shot, and as the cool down timer passed I took another shot at...ten chickens...Looks like them hens got very very busy while I was reloading.

They should make and achievement for the called Champion of Argus. The details complete all the quest up and including <The Unwritten Prophecy>. Reward: Title: <name> of The Hand.

I'm gonna be *!@#ed if i find out this whole quest chain counts toward the Loremaster achievment. Totally unfair, unless i come across some 4 or 5 quest chain that's gnome only.

In order to get this quest i have to have exalted status with Exodar or i can get it without exalted status?
because im a 85 lvl draenei and Prophet Velen hasn't got any quests for me and i have never done any quests from him :|

It seems that this is only pointed out in replies to other comments, so I'd like to make a note of it on its own.

You have to be a draenei in order to get this quest. I was working on the Bloodmyst Isle quests on my night elf for The Loremaster, and I got stuck at 57/60. I came here to Wowhead and saw this quest with a tabard as a reward, but even after doing all of the Bloodmyst Isle quests and being Exalted with Exodar, Velen didn't give me the quest, and it wasnt until then that I really started reading through the comments and replies to see that only a draenei can do this quest, and get the tabard.

Lucky draenei. =P

Just found this as a draenei - and I ended up getting disconnected before I could get to Velen to take the quest. When I reconnected after about 5 minutes, everyone was fading. :(

Fortunately, Velen in the Exodar gave it to me. So yay!

Despite the other quests in this chain becoming available to all alliance races, this quest is still Draenei-only.

Soloed with lvl 20 paladin and I guess it was best quest ever ı play with that amazing ending!
When I saw Velen and other people I started walk to him.You know draenei males walk.
It was very glory for me.

In order to get "The Unwritten Prophecy" quest, you have to be Dranai. There are also more than a few other quests that are only available to Dranai on Azuremyst Isle and on Bloodmyst Isle.

Your Draenei Death Knight can do this :) I just done it. Only couple quest to "unlock" this The Unwritten Prophecy.

If you're here for Loremaster reasons and you've seen rumors that it's not possible without your character being Draenei, rest easy. I'm playing in 9.2 and (at least on my human character) I wasn't even given this quest. Instead, completing the previous quest, "Ending the Bloodcurse," finished the Bloodcurse portion of the Bloodmyst Isle Quests achievment.

Completion

These islands will serve as the home to thousands. Most of these people will remain here their entire lives. If you so desired, you could do the same. But that's not what you want, is it, <name>?

You will do many more great things before you pass. You must embrace your destiny and meet it head on!

Before you leave, I present you with two gifts: This tabard is worn by only the most revered of the Hand of Argus and this signet ring worn by our wisest sages. Wear them both with pride, <name>.
