Did easily as 17 warlock.
Send the Void walker on Hezrul and then DoT and Nuke him.
Once he's dead, run and let your Void Walker die.
Then go back and loot the corpse.

Solo-ed it as an 18 rogue. Follow him around, sap one of his adds, wait for him and the other add to get to a considerable distance, kill the sapped add. Run away to lose combat state. Repeat with the 2nd add. Then you can fight him alone. Pop evasion, and just finish him.

As 22 BE, used some of the slumber sand from an earlier quest to put Hezrul asleep. The two adds went down quick, but Hezrul caught me off guard and I died. Rez'ed, went back and found him alone. He went down quick!

It'd be best to take weakest add first, and CC Hezrul, than run off to lose chase. Go back, CC Hezrul again, and hit second add and run. Then hit Hezrul. But as a squishy, that might not always work...

He spawns outside Wailing Caverns, Lushwater Oasis, and wanders around the Oasis after that.

I ran around looking for him, then he spawned where Anatis said, by the Wailing Caverns. I ran in, made a killing path so that I could kite out. I waited till he was at the first hill if you ran around the oasis clock wise (as if viewing from the map). From there i pulled him with serpent sting, then shot him with arcane shot, kept my pet on passive. Then Concussive shot him when ever i could, as well as arcane shot him when i could. Kept serpent sting on him as well, all i did was backtrack and kited him outwards, away from the centaur camp and towards the Stonetalon Mountains direction, he was dead by the time i left the treeline near the oasis.

Solo'd as a 17 feral druid.

Make sure you clear the guys around him first. Root Hezrul, move back a bit, own his two adds in bear before Hezrul gets to you. Once adds are dead, un-shift, war stomp, root, run out of melee range, cast your hots, go bear, and own Hezrul.

Easy.

Soloed as a lvl 16 Undead Mage. Used Frostbolt, Fireball, Frost Nova and repeated until he eventualy died. Then I grabbed his head and ran from the adds. :P

Soloed as a 17 lvl priest, at first killed one of he adds, feared and fleed than came back and killed the Hezrul and the second add.

You can find him walking around the lushwater oasis. He is with 2 other Kolkars, but don't worry. I soloed this one as a level 19 shaman. I killed Hezrul first, healed then focused on the other 2. You'll have his head in no time..

Soloed as a 20 Warrior. Only juuust looted him before his adds killed me. I've only been playing for 11 days, so you can probably do it easy.

Go to the pond at 46, 41. As said before, walk around it counter clockwise to find him. If you're a hunter, make a macro like this

/target Hezrul
/cast Hunter's mark

Works on any monster you're looking for, if they're around and you don't see them. They have to be in line of sight. Puts a nice red dot on your mini map ;P

Went down very easy for 21 hunter, sent pet at Hezrul, ranged him to death, killed both adds. All 3 mobs dead, pet at 50%, I'm fine.

Just did this as a level 18 Shaman.

Stoneclaw wasn't working for me so I picked him up around 48, 41 and did the following...

Target one of the adds and at max distance cast Ligthning Bolt x 2, then Flame Shock. Dropped Searing Totem and Stoneskin Totem and kitted all three until the first add was dead, but I kited them away from where I first picked them up, about the same time the first add died the other 2 reset.

Repeat for #2.

Then grab Hezrul when he's alone.

this was very easy for an lvl 18 mage. sheep hezrul, and wait for the adds to come tunning. then freeze them and spam arcane explosion. when the adds are dead, kill hezrul with fire or frostbolt. i didnt even loose 50% of my HP, and didnt burn all my mana

Soloed him on a warrior.

I used a remaining charge of Really Sticky Glue to CC one add, and then killed Hezrul, looted the head, swiftness potion and ran away

soloed easily as 18 lock...sent in VW to pull the trio away from any other mobs. DoT add...fear..DoT other add..fear. Focus on Hez...easy breezy!

As a lvl 16 rogue (combat-specc) this quest is very doable. He got two adds, i sapped one and then put Garrote on Hezrul, popped evasion, nuked nuked him til he died. He runs when his HP goes low so watch out for other centaurs wandering around. When hezrul was dead i sprinted away since my HP was kinda low, then i bandaged, went back, looted him...

Very easy as a lvl 16 ret pally. U simply have ret aura on, have full hp and mana before fight and then judgement of light on hezrul, when hp gets low heal, rinse and repeat til he dies. With the new casting thingy with only two pushbacks per cast this fight is no problemo, i didnt even use lay on hands... O btw, when hezrul dies his adds will have like 40-50 hp left because of your ret aura, one judgement each will finish them of...

Soloed as level 16 ench shammy.
I engaged making him and pat bumping into my Stoneclaw totem (for adds)
Then I nuke him with lightning bolt and earth chock.
I had toy use Healing Wave and my Lifeblood rank 1 (Herbalist)
And left after I got his head leaving the adds behond me with earthbind totem. Was close to death though, so watch out.

Soloed as a 17 druid on a slightly different way: Went counter-clockwise 'till i found him, killed him, died from the adds, resurrected en looted.

Not the most effective way, but it works :)

Solo-able as an 80 Afflic 'Lock.

Upon seeing Hezrul and Co, my initial stratagem consisted of CoE'ing them individually, then following through with a rotation of Haunt, Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Immolate, Incinerate and Siphon Life.
Anyone left standing would receive Curse of Doom.

Alas, as plans o' mice and men are wont to go, I sneezed, clicked Hellfire, and watched in horror as the party incinerated in a puff of ash.

Next time, I shall not be denied.

Solo-ed with a L16 Hunter. My tactic...Hunter's mark and target Herzu and sent in pet. The adds came after me for some reason. Evaded as best I could mean while plugging away Herzu. Saw main target was down just as I died. Dead run back to my corpse, the 2 adds continue their patrol pattern without their boss. Waited for adds to depart the area and loot away.

Hope this helps someone...

Soloable as a 17 priest. barely. I went directly for Herzul, used shadow word, then wand dps'd, then psychic scream, then renew, then wand dps..you might need to add a couple more renews and shield, and youll survive long enough to loot his body

did this as a 15 rogue sapped him let the others pat away and started fighting him make sure his adds get a good distance away from him because no matter how far away they are they will enrage and come charging at you the farther the better i killed him and sprinted into the waterthan hearthed easymode

anyone know if this mob was removed or is glitched out of existence? I waited for him to pat at the coords given above for 10 minutes.. didn't come.. I explored the entire circumfrence of the oasis.. nowhere in the area.. what gives?

In Cataclysm, still patrols around the same general area in front of Wailing Caverns but he seems to be a lot easier to kill. The patrol area is much reduced as a result of the big canyon that runs through his old patrol area.

Did it on my 16 Balance Druid - focused purely on Hezrul - Rejuv, Moonfire, Starsurge, and Wrathspam - accidentally pulled another add along with his bodyguards, cause there were 80s all over the place, so I hardly had time to plan the pull xD Killed Hezrul, threw HOTs on myself, looted him, dropped into travel form, and raaaan - just about made it. His adds cause more trouble than he does

Probably only available after you've completed A Little Diversion and Kolkar Leaders. I'm not sure which one is needed or if the two are needed because I've completed them together, so needs confirmation.

Just an update on the his patrol path. He does a figure 8 type of path from the small body of water directly in front of waiting caverns and the big hill just west of that body of water. On the SW side of that hill, he'll circle the large tent and come back around on the north side of the hill towards WC.

Tauren Hunter. I had a hard time finding the blighter but when i did i sent my pet cat lvl 18 at him and blasted some conscussion shots to stun him. Then i simply let my pet take him out while I blasted away froma distance with my shotgun.

clicked it, got him targeted, put raid target icon on him and he was just below the hill at 45.0 38.9 :)

If he's dead, he'll spawn at 39 / 70 every 5 minutes (just wait in front of Wailing Caverns entrance) he'll come to you. Otherwise he walks clockwise around the oasis w/two buddies.

I ran around forever looking for him and so I decided to just wait outside Wailing Caverns entrance and he spawned right in front of me at 39, 70 with two bodyguards.

Slay Hezrul Bloodmark and collect his head.

Description

Hezrul Bloodmark is the leader of the Kolkar centaurs in the Barrens. He is fierce, brutal and cunning. Defeating him would disrupt and fracture the Kolkars, greatly reducing their threat to us.

So kill him. Bring me Hezrul's Head, and I will mount it from this outpost, so that they may know fear.

Hezrul leads his people from the Lushwater Oasis, to the south.
